I’ve told this story a few times already but I’ll share it again. My dad met John in Vegas. John was shooting Craps and my dad came up to him and said “I’m a big fan. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the laughs and keep up the good work.” John asked my dad if he wanted an autograph or a picture and my dad said “Oh nay nay.” John then gave my dad a hug.
He did swear in his act. Just not often. He talked about going to Disney World where the guy in the Goofy costume tried to hug him, and he went "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!"
There are good, very good and excellent comedians; THEN there is John Pinette, who is THE KING, and does it ALL......God Bless You John, may you Rest in Peace!
I went high school with John. Malden Catholic. He was the most jovial , gentle and kindest person I’d ever met. He always Had us pissing our pants. I met him in Pennsylvania before he died. Sadly John left us too early. Rest in peace my dear friend
No wonder at the end they stood up and cheered, have watched this sketch many times and I still laugh. We could really do with comedy genius like John now, pure magic !!
March 23, 1964 - April 5, 2014 An American actor, Broadway performer, and stand-up comedian. John Pinette was a treasure easily one of the best comedians ever.
Many years ago my brother had tickets to see John and was not able to attend the performance due to a sudden tragedy involving the loss of a close friend. One of my brother's friends was able to convey the details of the situation and John called my brother to offer condolences. Many years later I was able to thank him at a performance in my home town. I really miss this caring, talented human being. Belly laughs are the best!
I still remember quite vividly the first time I saw this performance on TV. I was flipping stations in the middle of night, as I was having trouble sleeping. Must have been around 3 or 4 in the morning. I came upon this by total accident, and my God, I nearly fell off the bed from laughter. One of the greatest stand-up performances I have ever seen. Totally and utterly hilarious. Brilliant!
I first heard him 5 years ago as I was driving across country. I can’t tell you how many times I had to stop the car because I was laughing so hard the tears were flowing. RIP brother.
I miss John so much. I am so blessed to have seen him on stage. I will forever remember that evening. Thank you John for such an amazing evening. You left us far too soon.
I had the great fortune to see him live years ago. First time I ever heard him drop the F bomb was live. He was so clean and so hilarious, such a shame we lost his amazing talent for making people laugh.
Im a firm believer, those that can give laughter not at the cost of, or mocking others, (that's called love) will truly 'Rest In Peace'. I'd say, John's got it made.
I take a break between watching these videos, but I always return. The pause between viewings allows my mind time enough to pick up on lines that weren't there before. That is the brilliance of this wonderful, master comedian with a fabulous singing voice, I turn to John when I feel like crying and he never lets me down. RIP, John Pinette.
My favourite comedian! He was always a big hit in Canada at Just for Laughs. RIP John.... we miss you! Awesome impressions too, especially his Michael Jackson. Excellent singer as well. Pure magic.
Just another voice saying we miss you John. I first saw you in Hairspray the Musical (on Broadway), and then you did a question and answer session with us after the performance. Your warmth, your wit, your wonder, all shown bright that day; and continue to brighten my days years after. Thank you.
I count myself lucky and blessed that I got to see this talented man live. He is immensely missed. Truly one of the greats. Very down to earth. While waiting on line outside he shook everyone's hand and thanjed us for coming. What a huge loss.
God, I miss him. He was one of the funniest people that ever lived. Because of him I break out in laughter when someone asks if I want an extended warranty.
One of my big regrets in life is that I didn't get to see John Pinette live on stage. The week that he was supposed to come to my town then I'd found out that he passed away. He is incredibly funny! RIP John. I'm hoping the heavenly host is enjoying you as much as we all did down here.
They don't make 'em like they used to. I can't tell you how many times I've seen his sketches, memorized them word for word, and still I laugh every single time. He truly lived his calling and I'm grateful he still blesses me today by putting a smile on my face. I needed that today.
There are four comedians that never fail to make me laugh. George Carlin, Ron White, Robin Williams, and John Pinette. They all are quick of mind and see the humour in their lives as they go along. I try to see the humour in my occasional stupidity and it always makes my day better.
It is a skill to get on a stage and make people laugh. Its even a bigger skill when you make people laugh without using vulgar language. He left his mark on this earth for sure and we all miss him!
Roy Ortega - Keeping up with this world is almost a full time job. He passed away two weeks after he turned 50, which is my age now. :( But we will always have his stand up, which can almost cure depression.
He really worked so hard for years to lose weight, and he was wildly successful. His last interview was with a husband and wife who have a radio talk show in, I believe, L.A. it was probably a week or so before he passed away. Even THEY didn't recognize him, he had done such a great job losing weight. Next thing we all knew, John was gone. 😔 After one of his performances here in Cleveland, as he was walking past, I said, "John, thank you." He was still walking by, but he looked over his shoulder, and I said, "sincerely." He turned around and said, "Thank you." A lot of comedians are kinda similar to each other. The great ones are unique, and always will be. John was a great comedian. 😔
John Pinette was a wonderful comic, Just wonderful in his approach and style. Very Funny in all aspects. I will miss him a load. Thanks for the giggles John!
The man was a comic genius to say the least, but his big heart will live on in history. For all the laughter that brought us to tears. Gone but never forgotten. R.I.P
The thing is for me that after John left this world people will look and I hope his Family enjoy all the comments from a person like me that laughed, smiled and repeat His jokes.
R.I.P. JOHN. I COULD LET MY GRAND KIDS LISTEN TO YOUR COMEDY & NOT WORRRY WHAT THEY HEARD!GOD BLESS YOU. I'M SURE THE ANGELS IN HEAVEN ARE LAUGHING ! GOD BLESS YOU 4 MAKING OUR LIVES HAPPY!😂

Such a great point he was totally unique
He uses colorful language from time to time.
So true what you said in your comment. No foul langage, simply pure comedy.

I shake my head in sadness when I see these clips. So funny but probably sad. RIP
You were namesakes too. May he continue to rest peacefully.
You met him "before he died"..? Really?!
You were blessed. What a memory for you.
He was the real deal. Brilliant. His delivery, his facial expressions, his body language, etc etc etc. None will ever touch his genius.
We will never see his like again
pro tip : you can watch movies on Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies recently.
@Steven Callen yup, been watching on KaldroStream for since december myself :)
So sad....no one near is equal
Matt, get a grip for Christ sake. Yes, he's very good. You on the other hand are a nitwit.
John Pinette was a highly skilled stand up comedians. One of the very best I've ever had the pleasure to watch. Thanks for all the laughs John. R.I.P.

He doesn't have to say anything he just has to make that funny innocent face and the audience just burst into laughter.Gem of a guy.
Many years ago my brother had tickets to see John and was not able to attend the performance due to a sudden tragedy involving the loss of a close friend. What I Loved most about John Penette was he always looked like he had as much fun as the audience, if not more
Omigosh, I love when he smiles at his own jokes. 😂
The man had perfect timing and truly gifted, Miss this kind of humor.
What an amazing talent taken away from us way too damn soon. RIP John Pinette. We miss you big man.
Watching John's expressions, looks like he enjoys making people laugh and smile so much 🥹
Every time I need to laugh I find one oF John's videos. It never fails. Rest in Peace John and thank you.
I had the great fortune to see him live years ago. First time I ever heard him drop the F bomb was live. He was so clean and so hilarious, such a shame we lost his amazing talent for making people laugh.
The hesitation before that last line. He waits, waits. Then BAM, the knockout punch: "I don't even see the Speedo!" That is true genius!
God I love him😂,so glad they stood for him what a precious man❤❤❤
Im a firm believer, those that can give laughter not at the cost of, or mocking others, (that's called love) will truly 'Rest In Peace'. I'd say, John's got it made.
If there is a heaven John will be the court gester

I have listened to his same videos over and over and I never get tired of them! He was one of the best comedians of all time! Miss you John...RIP
I recently discovered this comic genius. He was absolutely a true comedian.
I agree. He was fabulous.
He is like the 6th comedian I found, who was already dead before I discovered them. This is depressing me...
Did you hear the beaver Tails joke...

Where’s the link to that, lol?
My favourite comedian! He was always a big hit in Canada at Just for Laughs. RIP John.... we miss you! Awesome impressions too, especially his Michael Jackson. Excellent singer as well. Pure magic.

I love when clerks ask for my phone number....."NO"......and I think of John every time. What a comic genius.
John Pinette was an unbelievable talent.
I truly miss him! He was the BEST!! ❤️
I loved how it took the audience a minute to think about him in a Speedo.
I count myself lucky and blessed that I got to see this talented man live. He is immensely missed. Truly one of the greats. Very down to earth. While waiting on line outside he shook everyone's hand and thanjed us for coming. What a huge loss.

The man was a comedic genius. His delivery and timing were spot on. Never mind that he wrote all his material.
If it doesn't have a casino and a buffet it ain't seaworthy lol words of wisdom!
There was no casino on the Costa Concordia
They don't make 'em like they used to. I can't tell you how many times I've seen his sketches, memorized them word for word, and still I laugh every single time. He truly lived his calling and I'm grateful he still blesses me today by putting a smile on my face. I needed that today.
I was lucky to see him live at a performance in NYC before he passed. He very graciously let
Me give him a hug. Always remembered.
That is so awesome

On April 5, 2014 the world - and for sure the comedy world - lost a great talent in making us laugh and love him for his point of view and his wins and shortcomings. You could tell that he was, in real life, a sweetheart of a man and so funny to boot -- a winning combination. A pulmonary embolism took him away. RIP, John, wherever you are I hope there's your favorite food and a good glass of Chianti while you're making God laugh. My condolences to your loved ones and family.
