I believe he died of a brain aneurysm.I saw an interview. He did not too long before he died and he had lost a lot of weight. He didn’t even look like himself.
I’ve told this story a few times already but I’ll share it again. My dad met John in Vegas. John was shooting Craps and my dad came up to him and said “I’m a big fan. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the laughs and keep up the good work.” John asked my dad if he wanted an autograph or a picture and my dad said “Oh nay nay.” John then gave my dad a hug.
I have seen few times when he starts to crack himself up and he takes a step back to get himself back o the show. That is a sign of genius when you make yourself laugh
