It is perfectly okay to be single. It's okay to want to be in a relationship. What's not okay is to be desperate for it, and it's not okay to have the feeling that you won't be happy until you get a girlfriend. You have to learn to love yourself first. That's where I'm at. Everyone is on their own path and we shouldn't judge each other based on who's single or who's a virgin etc.

This hit at home my brother is also 29 and he’s also never had a girlfriend. He had a tumor in his head when he was a child ( surgery caused him to lose function of certain areas of his face, paralyzed half of his face) as a result his physical appearance affected him and brought out a lot of insecurity. I remember in elementary school kids would mock him and tell him he looked like a monster, he acted tough ignoring them. He’d go home and lock himself in the room breaking down in tears thinking the world looked at him like a monster…. He’s now very successful in his work life bought himself a house. I love him to death and it honestly brings tears thinking about what he went through.

Damn man. I am a guy who turned 23 just 13 days ago and I never had a girlfriend before. I had my first ever date over 3 months ago at the age of 22. She is 19(turning 20 after a week) and we went to the mall and ate in Mcdonalds and took some pics and hugged each other and I was pulling her cheeks a lot too. But 2 weeks after the date she turned out to be mean and toxic and blocked me on all social media. She basically used me for free lunch and take pics of her so she can post on social media. I also have a big crush on this girl who is in my class where I go for preparation of exams to get into an MBA B School as I just graduated college like 5-6 months ago and now planning to study MBA. She is also 22(turning 23 in a few days). She has called me cute several times before and I pulled her cheeks too and gave her chocolates once but I mostly see her with her male friends and I am shy near her in person and she is the one who initiates conversations with me so it gets difficult.
Over 2 months ago, I went out with this another girl who is also 23 in that same classes. We roamed around the city and had lunch in a big restaurant. I pulled her cheeks too while taking selfie but was shy to ask for a hug. She also has called me handsome before and even said I am an amazing person she met when wishing me on my birthday a few days ago and we may again go out somewhere this month but we are just friends now. I also follow several girls from our institute on Instagram and they are all within 21-25 age range but I am yet to message them. For several months I also have been chatting with this another girl on Instagram who is 19(turning 20 in April). She was in the same school as me but we didn't know each other that time. She is very sweet and we send each other virtual hugs daily and plan on meeting soon to eat somewhere as we are both foodies. But I am still single in the end.

I think as you feel better you will also gain more confidence and attract people toward you. I saw your video about taking better care of yourself physically, and I want to do the same. I’m going to turn 34 soon. I never experienced any kind of romantic contact through my life. I never had a hug, a date, a kiss, or something as a relationship. The depressing part is that I put myself out there: I asked women out, I signed up on dating sites or joined new groups to meet new people. But every girl rejected me before I had something as a date.
More and more I think it is due to my disability (Fetal alcohol spectrum disorder) I am suffering from. It seems that whenever I tell women, I only work minimum wage jobs, they seem to be less interested in me. Once a woman even told me, I am a loser for working as a dishwasher.
The older I get, the more depressed I have become. It feels devasting going though life without any kind of intimacy, being rejected over and over again, being told you are not even good enough to get on a date with…

I had that mentality after my dad died when I was 25yrs old. Thankfully a year later I met a girl (through a friend) who I just instantly loved and who instantly loved me back. Where I am from, most people get married at 28 - 30+, they live with their families because we're more collectivistic than most western countries. Just wanted to say, I was in a rough spot mentally about my own lack of a dating life a couple weeks ago and I found your video. I related so heavily. So I watched some more of your videos and it’s honestly inspiring how open you are with your emotions and how you try to put yourself out there and face your fears. You’re awesome man, and clearly the rest of this comment section thinks so too. And I also have been getting into guitar so you seem like an older version of me. I also wanna say that the comment about getting in shape is true. I started hitting the gym a few months ago, and even though it hasn’t helped my dating life at all, it’s made me so much happier in my own skin and it’s honestly invaluable for your sense of self confidence. Even if you can’t join a gym, try doing callisthenics. Self care really really helps, because girls or no girls we all die alone and the only person you’ll always have is you. So it’s really very important to take care of yourself. But I know you know this, you started meditating and doing the hard work for a reason. Stay awesome man.

I'm really sorry that you had to go through so much pain that you don't deserved. I'm 21 yrs old, and I also didn't have one or never had experience being in a relationship before. It really does sucks because when you use your energy to this one person you cared about and all the sudden, that person never appreciated your very best efforts or never looked up to you. Which made me realize that some people are not being thoughtful and they don't have the encouragement to giving them a chance. I hope you stay strong, brother, and one day you'll eventually get one who loves you first the way you are.
Comments like this get me to imagine myself reincarnating as an unattractive dude, and it scares the phoque out of me. There's definitely a strong physiological factor to attraction, and I hooked up with my childhood friend (sister's, in fact) with little effort, because I'm cute, but you just have to up your personality stat through attractive traits. If you don't look good, all you can do is behave well, speak well, carry yourself well, dress well, temper your physique, discipline yourself etc.

I'm 24 and I've never been in a relationship. Meditating has helped me so much with the feelings of shame as well, it's so powerful. I used to identify so much with the idea of myself as someone who is not good enough, who is undesirable, unlovable, etc. but now I can see that that is just a thought and is not what I am. The aim of life should be peace within yourself, not the acquiring of things which you think will finally make you a worthwhile person. A relationship will not make you happy forever, nothing can give you eternal happiness. It won't take away the feeling of not being good enough either. I don't know if this will resonate with you but I wish you the best

Saw your other vid a while ago, I'm glad you made a follow up video. I think relationships are great but I also think having or not having a relationship shouldn't take away from the rest of your goals in life. It should be something that makes you happy, but not something that you need to be happy, if that makes sense. Take care.

I love this video man. Gives me hope and inspires me - I’m 28 and while I’ve had a small handful of short term romantic relationships, I’ve truly never had a true connection in my adult life. I sometimes feel that I’ll never be able to be in a relationship or find someone who will actually be into me in any romantic or sexual way. But I don’t want to lose self esteem and I also don’t want to be obsessed with attaining something I feel I lack. Thank you for sharing your experience
I just commented in another video about how much you had improved since I arrived to this channel through that "Never had a Girlfriend" video, I didn't know whether you had found a person or not but I could see you looked more confident and happy in your videos.
My case has been so similar, I was also very obsessed with finding a Partner since 2016, but since around 2019 I've been doing way better thanks to therapy and meds. Haven't found someone yet but now I'm happy for what I have, instead of being miserable for what I want to happen and hasn't happened yet.

The sad truth is that some of us are just destined to be alone. You can waste the years of your life remaining lamenting that fact, or you can accept it, embrace it, and enjoy what you've got in your own little way. I'm 26 and have been alone pretty much my whole life, and I'm at a stage where I'm beyond the delusions of "it'll fix itself one day". I can quite clearly see how my life's going to pan out, and it looks like it's a path I'm going to take alone, until the day I die.
Alone doesn't have to mean friendless. As far as dating, I agree. I wish I had embraced the idea that I'd never have a girlfriend when I was 26.
But I had friends back then, and I took that for granted and I lost them all. I made many foolish decisions from aged 31 on. If you have some friends, don't move away from them to a place you are unfamiliar with. You may just not fit the culture of that new place and become friendless. And that sort of sucks. But it can be ok still if you make sure to rent only and minimize your possessions, and whatever you do, do NOT get a cat.
@@andrewphilpott3220 I must say that I do agree with you in that. Whilst female companionship is certainly absent from my life, I do still have a handful of friends whom I cherish greatly. I feel like losing them one day is an inevitability, though. We are only tenuously linked as is and half of them live very far away.

Dude don't give up. I'm also in the same boat being 28 and never having had a GF or sex or even holding hands. It affects my self confidence on a daily basis, but I refuse to believe it's my destiny just because it hasn't happened yet. Especially when there are identifiable reasons why it hasn't happened (I had no social skills, stayed at home all day playing video games etc). Your right in that it won't fix itself because I firmly believe that is up to us to fix it. The universe owes us nothing and we have to make it happen. If I do end up being alone for my whole life, I at least want to be able to say I tried.
Focus on yourself and the relationships that come are just a benefit. Nobody else can complete you if you don’t love yourself

Glad you are doing better bro. I dated an attractive girl for a couple years every guy I knew wanted to be with. She is the only girl ive dated or slept with. She had more issues than you could imagine so i broke up with her. Now I just concentrate on my hobbies and career goals. I'm ultimately looking for a wife and if that never happens, who cares. Being single gets lonely but it's better to live in peace than deal with a woman who brings misery.

You're not the only person who hasn't had a girlfriend yet and i'm sure even a woman before has never gotten a boyfriend before in their 30's. You make so much sense.I find it hard to find a girlfriend. I had social issues myself. Attitude is everything. Girls often pick up on, being too needy. You're not bad-looking, but looks don't seem to matter. I used to stand at the bar, and talk when girls came up for a drink. I wouldn't introduce myself, I'd say something like, are you having a good night?. looks as though you are having a great time. and get I to a conversation nothing heavy. Find something about her you like, not looks, they have heard it so many times. Compliment her on her hair dress etc. The secret is to get out there, get on with life, don't wait for something to happen. Good luck moog.

Damn man really at 57? I am a 22 year old guy who never had a girlfriend before but went on my first ever date on 16th September 2023 which was nearly 2 months ago. She is 19 and we went to the mall and ate in Mcdonalds and we hugged and I was pinching her cheeks a lot. But 2 weeks after the date, she became toxic after I messaged her saying me to go to hell and said swear words and then blocked me on all social media apps. It looks like she just used me for free lunch and to take pics of her so she can post them on Instagram. I lost some hope.
But a bit over 2 weeks ago, I went out with this another girl who is also either 22 or 23 now. She is in my class where I go for preparation of exams to get into an MBA B School as I just graduated college 3-4 months ago and planning to study MBA next. We had a great day and I pinched her cheeks too while we took selfie and had lunch in a restaurant too. We are just friends tho and we might again go out on 22nd November. I also have big crush on this another girl in the same class who is also 22. I am kinda shy near her and usually she is the one who initiates conversations with me but 3 weeks ago she asked me how was she looking and I said she is cute and I pinched her cheeks too and she blushed a bit. Nowadays I noticed she smiles at me whenever I look at her and tells her friend about me while looking at me and smiling. But she has several male friends so idk whether I have any chance with her or not.

My biggest problem was when I turned 21 I got desperate and was asking out anyone and everyone and all the girls I really didnt like but I was desperate. Nice, man. Im always advocating to friends and family that they should meditate. Its truly the answer to moat problems. It doesnt solve them of course, but it puts you in a much better place to deal with them or move on from them entirely.
