- There's a mysterious and fascinating phenomenon in the archeological world called 'The Burned House Horizon'. It describes the historical process of Balkan and Eastern European communities repeatedly burning their houses down and rebuilding them. This video gives the topic a brief overview.

I found this channel from Hoog, and i can say that your documentaries are some of the best ive seen on this platform, and im very excited to see what is coming in the future
Thank you so much! I'm really hoping to get things into gear soon so this is fantastic to hear - I'm working on a video now that should be out in the next month or so!
It's insane how small your channel is considering the amazing quality of your videos
Absolutely fantastic video. The effects, music, VO. Hope this blows up, because it certainly deserves it.
What are the sources you used for this video?
I’d like to read further on this topic
Also, I love the animations on the video; they’re gorgeous

Wow, amazingly well made video! This channel has huge potential.
This channel should be 100x bigger
Is this what drives our desire to destroy/burn all our minecraft creations once we finished them 😂
Gorgeous video. I wonder what is the music you used for it?
Please keep making more videos
In history in university we studied that a lot of hunter gatherer or early neolithic societies would build up wealth and hierarchies then completely reset by burning their progress down and becoming egalitarian.
Amazing stuff!

That’s a voice primed for an ASMR channel.
Commenting as this channel should be pushed by the algorithm
A custom that is sometimes still practised by the Irish Traveller cmmunity. On the death of one of the community, their home is set on fire. Rare nowadays.
What is the music? Where can i find it?
It’s Synthesia by Blake Ewing!
@@IMPERIALYT Hmmm, it doesn't seem to be the same music as in the video. Any other ideas? (Loved the video btw!)
@@eagleyeb1012 got the song mixed up with Russia video, it’s actually When I grow up by Luke Atencio
@@IMPERIALYT Shoot, sorry to ask again, but I was wondering about the song that plays for most of the mid section starting around 20 in seconds. Again, thank you so much
@@IMPERIALYT Thank you so much!

Love your work. However, you left out the most likely hypothesis: some waterborne disease like cholera or highly infectious one from ebola through anthrax, smallpox or plague. Unless you count deadly infection as a "pest".
would they build in the same place tho?
Romanian Cucuteni civilisation had this practice.
Great video. I think that you are overemphasizing the role of the 'West" though.
Probably it would be fair if you can present, say, the US dilemma of how to handle failig USSR / early 1990s Russia. The parallel with post-WW2 Germany does not work as Germany was defeated and occupied. Therefore, they're were no guarantees that USSR/Russia would not use any benefits from cooperation with the 'West' against the 'West'. This includes both economic and military considerations (like protecting Eastern Europe from Russia via NATO expansion).
I would not give my opinion but it is safe to say that different people can make different conclusions from (a) the lack of cooperation with Russia is at fault for Russia reverting to its worst to (b) overwhelming cooperation with Russia and the policy of appeasement starting from the early 1990s eased the path for Russia reverting to its worse.
ps. Keep up the great work!
you're right that's probably why they burn the houses
Xd
It’s as if people used fire to provide a source of light and heat or something, nah im tripping it’s certainly a ritual lmaoo
