People should notice you. Your channel and content are awesome! Keep at it!
I appreciate that!
That's not procrastination - that's letting the wood dry out and get well seasoned! :)
Exactly!
Beautiful work ...thank you for sharing! I enjoyed your wife's reaction to seeing the table you made for her. What a special moment! ❤🥹
Thank you very much!
Procrastination is my superpower! Love those beds. I guess the lessons you learn the hard way are the most memorable.
❤🎉 every person: just start with 1 of something. You can do just 1? Can't you? So don't become paralyzed by the thought of "it's too much!" Just start. Paint 1 wall. Do 1 raised bed. Plant 1 tree. Put up 1 side of the fence. You'll surprise yourself with the good feeling of getting something done and how NICE it looks! Then you'll be inspired to keep going!😂😂😂
Not a procrastinator but I live with one! I so appreciate all the hard work you do and the education I am getting. If I could afford it I’d certainly would become a member. In the meantime please keep putting these videos out for people like me who are interested in the foraging medicinal plants, gardening etc. and getting overall knowledge of these things. Beautiful table by the way for your wife, what a lovely gesture!
Hey, thanks for the shoutout! I'll definitely keep the videos coming for you and others interested in foraging and gardening. Your support means a lot!
I really like the metal raised beds.
Yeah, I have more projects to do than I have time, money, ambition, or energy to do. Working at getting better about doing them. The struggle is real.
Ooooh, shared the joy your wife had when the looked at your table:- it’s beautiful.
Hey thanks!
Coolbeans! We switched to metal raised beds about 5 yrs ago... absolutely love them.
Those really make your place even nicer.
Blessings
I am the worst procrastinator. Love the video 👍
That is a GORGEOUS table!!!
Those were some major projects you completed. That table is so beautiful.
Table is gorgeous!!!
Ok - anyone else a procrastinator?
Hey I am.
Me too.
Me, Me 😬
Me😅
Me too! That was absolutely beautiful the table and all your hard work with your garden ❣️
❤ I love this channel!
You make me happy!
Inertia... such a challenge. Table is absolutely gorgeous.
It is...and thanks!
great piece of land.

Captain Procrastination
You scored some major husband points with that table 😁! Great job!
Yep
PRO Crastinator, yes! So good at it, thinking about writing a book about it, but not right now.
Great that someone is discussing the psyche within us which can inhibit or spurs us into action.( besides that Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a great favourite). Could really relate to this video. Thank you.
Oh… My… Goodness… this makes me so excited to start working harder in my yard. Like you, all of my raised beds are wood, but so old that they are rotting out. However, I had lined all of them with tile discarded from the tile store. (I considered hardware cloth, but when I came up with a tile idea, I figure I’d give it a try.) Anyways, I have been procrastinating hard on this project for years now as I realized it’s not as simple as my wife seems to think. (Mostly because of all the tile work I have to redo in any new raise beds.)
Thank you for sharing your excitement! It's always motivating to hear how others are getting inspired to tackle their own yard projects.
I just purchased metal raised beds this year...LOVE THEM & so do my tomatoes.
I so love all your projects, and very much appreciate the care and thought you bring to all you do! Good on you for building your wife that table - her reaction was priceless!
Thank you so much!
Super inspiring and helpful
New to your channel. Love your hillside garden ideas, have a very similarly elevated garden area, oh and the same hungry garden neighbors. I use solidi sheets of cut hardware cloth wide enough to sit the bed on. 3 ft metal garden stakes to hold up either bird netting or chicken wire and also try a bit of hugalkulture in bottom of beds if deep enough. Keep up the great ideas!
Awesome! Thank you!
What an awesome job!
Thank you!
Solid, great looking table...garden beds are a nice improvement and after all the hard effort to fill and populate, satisfying to gaze upon. Well done. Thankyou for another upload, I always look forward to them.
Thanks for watching!
Dude is bulking up. 🤘
Very cool. Your wife is a beautiful person. Great looking house.
I try to watch every video. So maybe I'm #26.
You've got everything down about making meaningful videos from my outside view; I think you just need more content.
I'm a student of Procrastination University myself, year 49. Projected graduation 2047
Go PU!
Awesome! Thank you!
Omg you’re goofy! I didn’t realize this from the last vid of yours I watched. I love it! So glad I subscribed! 😆
Guilty as charged...and thanks for subbing!
Table came out great
Beautiful work
Thank you very much!
You should have an auger to move that dirt, or a pulley system of some sort. Take care of those knees.
True, but I save on a gym membership!
Watching this video makes me happy 😊
Reading THIS comment makes ME happy!
Great garden
Thanks for watching!
Are you the best procrastinator in the world? Hold my beer... Greetings from Poland :D
Thanks for the education , I just found your channel today.
Welcome!
I'd say that was justifiable procrastination on moving all that dirt uphill. Kudos!
Nice looking table with some unique construction.
Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement!
Beautiful job with your table! I have a total of 12 raised beds by Birdie out Australia, hadn’t had any problems with critters digging in my beds until this year! I had voles and moles invade, I’m now in the process of emptying each bed and lining with hardware cloth and refilling them. With all the exercise I don’t have to go to the gym 😜
Keep up the fight!
Your videos give me inspiration and make me smile 😊 thank you for sharing your homestead
You are so welcome!
Nice table

You are chicken inspiration
Amazing table (and talent)
😁good story thanks. 10:37
Great table!
I love your hillside Garden, I'm hoping to get to my back hills in the next year or two, currently I've placed 12 fruit and 8 nut trees on them.
I live in the Rocky Mt region and I found your video quite beneficial cause with the wind & sometimes of our winters, it can drop down into the -30's to -50's, thank goodness it doesn't last for weeks and usually ranges 0/-10 to -15/-20 most of the time for the coldest part. (I ramble sometimes)
Any way you have some really good ideas I could use for the green house, even it it would be on a smaller scale and definitely the raised planter beds.
Comment… come on everyone!!!
Such a great video and great reminder. The table looks amazing!
Thanks so much!
I just purchased on a hillside. yea it's a lot of work to get anything done.
Thank you. I needed a push to get going on my projects.

Could you show how your access into your caged raised beds?
I have a section of poultry wire in the front hanging from the top, sort of like a curtain. I flip it up if I need to reach in.
We really enjoy your videos and you've started us on a pallet-collection habit. :) Questions about your chicken-wire barriers. Firstly, don't the chipmunks slip right through? And second, how do you access the beds? Thanks!
Hi Eric! (Welcome btw) You can never have too many! pallets So chipmunks tend to go under. The beds are 17” high with nothing really nearby for them to jump over from. The poultry wire is mainly to stop the squirrels, deer, possums, raccoons…etc. I have a section of poultry wire in the front hanging from the top, sort of like a curtain. I flip it up if I need to reach in.
@@WineberryHill Thanks very much! We joined the channel because we really love your work.
Oh, looks awesome, but aren't they going to be extremely hot under the sun?
Not at all...pretty impressive product.
Those boots you put on at the beginning... they look pretty cool. What brand are they?
Realfoot
Are we procrastinating or are we just aware of how time consuming all the millions of projects we have are? Maybe we are just being practical trying to match projects to the amount of time that we have available.
There ya go!
What kind of boots are those?!? They look awesome

They hill your garden is on... I assume you cut down trees to make space? Do you have to worry about hill side soil erosion when the hill loses it's trees and associated root structures holding the soil there?
I have been slowly removing trees over a 15 year period. Not all at once. I make sure to stabilize each area, structurally, and with plants.
Is that hill you put the raised beds a south facing hill? It looks pretty sunny.
It is!
I'm one of the 25 who made it to the end.
Have you tried any of the other brands of metal beds? vego garden/birdies/etc?
Also, random question... Are those boots wide toe box/barefoot style? If so, what brand?
I haven’t tried other brands than Vegega. Yeah the boots are made by Realfoot
You're a good husband! Flowers, to boot. Doesn't matter that we saw just the condensed video of the project. Very inspiring. Was wondering, as a side note about the raised beds, if you could mix 10% concrete into the soil with a spade, and use that as the bottom of the raised beds. Make a drain or two, cover them with hardware cloth. czcams.com/video/tNoWVPVb6Mo/video.html
Makes sense. I like hardware cloth because it allows the plant to reach beyond the bottom of the bed...but that would probably work!
@@WineberryHill Very good point. I find in my yard that stuff grows up from below into my compost bins, which is a minor nuisance. (Amazing how those roots find those few tiny holes.) But then, our friends, the worms, also crawl up from below. When I saw the British guy's idea, I was searching for info on building a retaining wall, and then thought it might also solve the rodents nesting under the shed problem. Everything is a trade off. The hardware cloth also insures you don't drown your plants after a torrential downpour.
