    Watching these from a shoebox apartment for inspiration and audacity…. Maybe I will brave those bookshelves I’ve been dreaming up after all!! Thanks for all the wonderful content - I WILL make this one day.

    nicely done sir ! also want to add that the Vast majority of armchair experts have relatively few clues....i.e.: nearly all of todays pallet woods are white oak or another hardwood variant. have NEVER seen a "treated wood pallet" (EXCEPT in high end, specialty shipping. Teak, mahogany and cedar amongst others are used). I have had over 50 yrs of pro tradesman exposure. we all wanna be polite and respectful to others ....however its difficult when folks talk smack and they are ill or insufficiently informed. I think you handled that very tactfully sir. well done. and it came out much better than anticipated....peace and God bless. i use a ton of scavenged stuff as well. LOVED that aspect the most!

    I worked for a shipping department where we imported from Europe. Euro Pallets are all the same dimensions. I have built so many things from pallet wood. I thought your design was thoughtful and innovative. Good Work.

    Turned out great! Good job persevering in spite of the naysayers! As the 21st century philosopher Taylor Swift once said, “the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.”

    Gave it a thumbs up before I started watching because I just knew it was going to be an enjoyable experience. I'm not long subscribed to your channel but I do enjoy your demeanour. Thanks for the update on the sauna. I'm not jealous. Not in the least. Well maybe a little. I wish this Irish weather would shape up to remotely resemble yours. 13 celsius most days and non-stop rain. Could do with a sauna.

      The steps to "handiness" start with building basic stuff (making mistakes) learning how to improve from the set-backs...and then tackling slightly bigger projects...we all start at the beginning!

    So cool, love it! Makes me want to try but when I try to work with saw etc. Hubby usually finishes, don't think he would finish a sauna, he does not like to be in those or a hot tub! Stairs to the front door were kinda needed! 😊 enjoyed your videos, thanks!!!

    My concern about this would to be ensure that the pallets have not be treated with chemicals. Not sure but I think those that have been treated will have a stamp . But this is the UK . Not sure about the US.

    Lathe, I bought the plans but am not able to clearly see the details (contrast is too dark on some pages such as Inside Cedar Benches & Upper Lay Down Bench ). It would be helpful to have approx measurements for lengths of boards used and dimensions - as a starting point to be sure the finished product is reasonable sized. I know pallets are all different sizes but I need a starting average size to visualize properly. Adding page numbers also would be helpful. Also a materials list would be wonderful to make shopping easier. TY

    Adding a comment to help your algorithm...
    My one beef with the build-and it's not even with the build and your choice to do this- but as someone with respiratory issues, I cringe seeing people use a table saw without a mask on.

    How much did it cost? How long did it take to build it?

    • @WineberryHill
      @WineberryHill  Před 15 dny +2

      I had some trial and error in my process…so it cost about $1,300 to $1,500. I could probably build it now for about $1k…
