I Left a Dog Treat in the Woods and WILD Animals did THIS
zhlédnutí 3,1KPřed 3 měsíci
Not surprisingly there were some seriously funny wild animal dog antics caught on camera, when I anchored a beef bone dog treat to a tree in the woods and used my trailcam to film what happened next. First the deer found it, then a curious little fox walked around it for a couple days, raccoons looked it over...and then an all battle broke out between a sick fox with scabies and a vigorous pair...

    How did you decide how to space the risers? If the hill is steeper do you need to place the risers closer together?

  • @jamesbaldassarre6603

    Exactly what I was looking for. I especially appreciate the advice about pacing. It's a satisfying project but exhausting!

    Very helpful video. However, you didn't specify the distance between the risers. How many inches would you recommend?

    • @WineberryHill
      @WineberryHill Před dnem

      The angle of the hill will dictate the depth of the steps, I "start" by dividing the total run evenly. But then I "test walk" it to make sure it feels comfortable.

    BEST stair vid I have ever seen! This I can do Thank you so much. With stairs added to our property the useable size will give me about 2 AC!!! It has just been too hard to walk on unlevel hill side. Lived here for 30 yrs and have given up on ever getting steps in. Nothing else worked THIS makes it easy old lady easy THANK YOU!

    Great cheap fix for backyard hills, could I make a suggestion to maybe improve it? A lot of landscape supply yards carry a polymer sand used mostly for brick paver grout joints. You could leave the run box an inch or so low, then mix pea pebbles with the poly sand and trowel in to the top of the form. The polysand when mixed with water causes a chemical reaction and it hardens but remains permeable to rain and the pebbles under the cap are a great drain.

    I like this video a lot!! I watched until the end but you left out an important detail. You showed the installation of the very top and very bottom riser but you didn't demonstrate the "how to" install the intermediate risers where the bottom riser needs to be level with the top of the next riser going uphill. There was only a 2-3 second video only clip where you had a level.

    To save you some trouble on the corners, if you run 2 boards, one on each side of your wall all the way up, overlapping the front over your sides, you can run your shingles into them. If they are thicker then your shims, you can caulk them right to the boards that run the full height of the building. It may save you some time, and it will look nice too!
