In this video, I discuss my own homemade solar dehydrator and how it has become a valuable tool for drying tea, fruits, and vegetables. Built using recycled materials like pallet wood and food-grade stainless steel mesh, this dehydrator offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to the pricier, store-bought dehydrators. This solar-powered dehydrator is not just sustainable but also highly efficient. Even the juicier items like tomatoes can be dried with ease. Join me as I delve into the world of DIY, green living, and food preservation, discussing how my solar dehydrator has contributed to a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. Let me know in the comments if you're interested in plans for making one yourself! If you enjoyed this video, you might also like the others on my channel.
I would enjoy a video where you filmed actually making this. That's what I thought I was clicking on.
I built this years ago. Long before the channel existed. Would plans be useful to you?
@@WineberryHill not to me personally, because I just like living vicariously through CZcams videos due to health issues limiting my mobility. But if you do get more people who want plans, I would totally watch and like and comment on and share a video of you building another one to help feed the algorithm!
Me too.
I know I would love the plans this is exactly what I've been looking for
Would love the plans
Yes!! I'd absolutely love the plans for this. I'm currently using a giant DIY drying rack, but my tea leaves constantly blow away once they dry just enough.
I would love to have the plans. I’m sure I could wing it, but basic dimensions with spacing between shelves would be great!
I would love plans for this!
Please share the plans
It looks amazing
YES YES YES please. I had an electric one, but the trays were plastic and melted. Not to mention that this looks so nifty that I would soon put it to work. I live in the tropics so heat isn't a problem. So please ask your mate to draw up the plans. Cheers
I'd love to build one off of your plans. Please YES! Thank you for all the inspiration. :)
I would love to have plans for building this, as I was just thinking about making my own!
I usually just dry fruit leather under some cloth in the sun and leaves and things for tea inside. However, that takes up a lot of counter space! Would be nice to free up some space.
YES PLEASE, and thank you 🙏
I would love to have a set of plans for the dehydrator please. I have checked with several people about food drying without using electric and no one had much to offer that was helpful, but yours is fantastic. Thank you for offering the plans, that is very generous.
Plans and maybe a video showing how to construct the dehydrator would be amazing please if that's possible?😊🏴
Wonderful looking dehydrator. Would love to see the plans.
Yes. I’d like the plans. Nice dryer. Thanks.
I love your solar dehydrator, I want to make one too. I have an excalibur, but I don’t really like it very much. Especially for herbs, it blows them all around.
I just discovered your wonderful channel and we'd love plans for this project! We grow our own tea as well, now we just have to figure out if we can pull off a greenhouse like yours 😄.
Welcome!
That is really cool.
Yes I would like the plan.
Yes I would love the plans to make my on
I would love a copy of thr plans... looks awesome.
Blessings ❤
Plans please this is great! i literally JUST talked myself out of paying £300 for a dehydrator then found you lol
I would love the plans
God yes love this design thank you
Yes please share the plains for the dehydrator. Thank you the this video.
Plans! ❤❤❤
Like #50 from Mr. Garry. This is clever and cool! I like it!
AWESOME!!!!
Thanks!!
I realized my last comment sounded less enthusiastic than I meant it to, but you gave it a heart before I could edit it, and I don't want to lose it! This is a really cool build! I love the concept of reclaiming the palate wood and using what you had on hand to make what you need instead of getting a $30+ hunk of plastic from Asia that has to be shipped and then runs a drain on electricity.
It even gave me an idea to do a macrame hanging version that would look decorative and bohemian hanging different places in the yard...not that I'll ever be able to make it!
I love it!
Excelente
Greetings from BRAZIL ❤🇧🇷
What a lovely design! As per usual, your attention to detail yields such a beautiful result! I already have both a conventional dehydrator, as well as a hanging/netted one I use outside in the summer, so I'm covered, but I'll certainly remember this next time I'm casting about for a new one to join the mix. >;-)
Very cool. I would love a copy of the plans if possible.
Yes, please do give directions on making this ❤
I would like a copy of the plans.
Plans would be great! My husband could build it and we already have pallets and things. Just found your videos and subscribed, great content!
Awesome! Thank you!
Great build.
In thousand oaks ca during the eighties mr Lau from HKG USED SOME OLD GLASS WINDOWS to dehydrated everything on his roof patio.
Please... plans. ty
Greetings from Pakistan, please share your plans. Thank you so much.
I want the plans.
I would like a set of plans cause I would like to build me a solar dehydrator that would be great. Would you please let me know when you got it thank you.
I got all my dehydrators secondhand for free or at a thrift store
Hello, great video i’m actually doing this for a school project !😊 I would love for you to create the plans!
May I have the plans?
Great video! I want to build one of these. Did you ever make the instructions? There certainly seems to be a lot of interest in how to actually make one.
Not yet!
Hi would love to have a copy of the building plans, im in Cape Town South Africa, im a avid diy, thank you
Just discovered your channel yesterday! I've really enjoyed your videos so far. If you're still taking feedback, I'd certainly appreciate the plans for the dehydrator.
I am going to Uganda to teach the refugees how to build a dehydrator. The plans would be helpful to me.
It’s on my list I need to get that made please stay tuned!
Please plans.
Did you ever create the plans for this dehydrator?
Not yet, it’s on my list!
I'm in the process of building myself one ...im wondering how you cut the screen? As of right now I'm stapling it and cutting it with scissor
yep, a good strong pair of scissors
🌸👍🌸👍🌸👍
Are you giving the plans away or selling them.
I haven't made them yet. Would you be interested at a very low price point?
@WineberryHill Are you actually going to put the plan together? It looks like there is a lot of interest but it's been months and months now and none available. Please understand I'm not trying to be critical and appreciate all your videos and sharing of knowledge, but it would be nice to know if the plans will be forthcoming soon or more of a back burner project should you find the time at some point. Thanks!
Guilty as charged…The reason I have held off is many fold, I have some changes in mind that I want to make to the design, and I’ve been crazy busy. it’s on my list though!
Hope you made the unit out of HEAT Treated pallet wood - NOT chemically treated pallet wood that's TOXIC as all heck
Yep.
