The winner of Bowe-Holyfied I was supposed to fight the winner of Ruddock-Lewis. It never happened, cause Bowe refused to fight. Bowe knocked out Holyfield just 3 years later but looked terrible against Golota a year later who was wiped out by Lewis in one round just after the Bowe fights. @Nanendra ThePudi @Nanendra ThePudi Bowe just fought Holyfield and then disappeared. He did not dominate Lewis in their amateur fight hence he would not against the version of Lewis who just knocked out Razor Ruddock. If Bowe really wanted the Lewis fight he could have come back and fought him. It´s pathetic to say "Bowe was better then Lewis in his only prime year (1992) when he beat Holyfield" and likewise blame Lewis for not having fought "prime x or z". Bowe lost to Holyfield in 1993 - so he must have been out of his "prime" already, right? You must say "yes" because in his prime "nobody could touch him". That would have been the year he would met Lewis, so if he would have lost, your silly "out of prime" argument would be "valid". To put it short: It´s all lame excuses.

@Nanendra ThePudi looks like you know nothing about boxing. Bowe refused to fight Lennox for the WBC belt and was forced to give it to Lennox, being the no.1 contender. You will say he put the belt in the trash bin, but that is Bowe not respecting the WBC belt (being the most respected belt). Bowe lost to Lennox in the Olympics, he had the chance to take revenge, but he didn't.

@Nanendra ThePudi if your saying rock Newman and don king is to blame, then why didn't Bowe leave them to fight Lennox? Then the next question is why didn't they want Bowe to fight Lennox? Is it because they knew Lennox will beat Bowe ???? There is always a reason!!!

He was a great champ, I was disappointed in his later in the career lazy antics , but in his prime Big Daddy Riddick Bowe was that good

Bowe never fought lennox for the WBC belt, and lennox was his mandatory. That meant Bowe was scared.
