Great champions...both of them! I watch "The Thrilla in Manila" every now and again and I still sit on the edge of my seat with anticipation and goosebumps when I do. Even though Ali won that fight, both fighters expended all that they had in the ring that night and both of them came about as close to death as any boxer could without crossing over to the other side. I loved Ali. In death, I've learned to love Joe Frazier just as much as I love Ali. May they both rest in peace.

Sure this is good but the fact you even talked about McGregor's trash talk and the fact millions of others talk about it factually make McGregor better in terms of promotion to a fight. what do i know..i'm just a white schmuck! But....I grew up watching Ali...and NEVER saw a more dazzling FIGHTER combined with such warrior spirit and humor and brilliant come-back. I once met him in a bank lobby in Chicago...way past his main prime...He had such a larger then life quality in every way...I was pretty much speechless...I saw him walk in from across the street and ran over to say hi. Great champions...both of them! I watch "The Thrilla in Manila" every now and again and I still sit on the edge of my seat with anticipation and goosebumps when I do. Even though Ali won that fight, both fighters expended all that they had in the ring that night and both of them came about as close to death as any boxer could without crossing over to the other side. I loved Ali. In death, I've learned to love Joe Frazier just as much as I love Ali. May they both rest in peace.
