    Great video love the SBT hate. Lol. I had a new SBT starter last half a revolution before the armature shaft snapped. But I will say if your gonna make sure people call engines engines instead of motors you should probably call bolts bolts and not screws. Lol. Keep up the great work.

      No shot. The bench was cleaned before disassembly like every single time I do a tear down. This engine has caged aftermarket bearings in place and was never ran after the top end rebuild. That bearing was from that engine when rebuilt.

      Not if they will be machined afterwards. They should know to avoid blasting those areas; the professional blasters anyway.

    • @thediplomasta5891
      @thediplomasta5891 Před 2 lety

      NOT Amsoil! It was not approved tcw-3! That is the ONLY oil that you should NOT use for 2-stroke! I'm a Certified marine mechanic, for 22 years, if that adds any weight to my statement. I care about your boat, the same way your vet cares about your dog. You should listen to me.

    • @Eddyte
      @Eddyte Před 2 lety

      @@thediplomasta5891 I hear ya, what oil would you recommend?

    • @thediplomasta5891
      @thediplomasta5891 Před 2 lety

      @@Eddyte for 2 cycle oil, they're all the same (marked TcW-3). Synthetic oil, will leave slightly less carbon behind. But if you do a good seafoam/powertune/Ringfree (they're all the same) treatment on a regular schedule, then that carbon won't matter.
      In the old days, there were wild differences in performance between 4-stroke oil brands. But as they have all independently worked on a better formula over the years, the gap in variance has closed to a small difference. (If they are all really working towards the best possible design, then theoretically they should all eventually end up with the same formula). 2-stroke oil offers no performance improvements. It only offers the continuation OF performance. 🤣
      But only certified tcw3. And there's only one I know of, that is not certified but also still somehow available for sale. 🤨
