You answered all my questions, and I thank you sir!
Don't forget your helmet and fire suit. Also use caution tape around the work area. If your skills are a little shaky, you might want to use crime scene tape.
And you need a fire watch for 72 hours....just in case a cosmic ray strikes the thread locker and it bursts into flames......
I use this on my snowboard binding screws. Works like a charm!
Excellent tutorial
Thanks for the tip. Now I know which one is best for my application 👍✔
Good information. Thanks for posting this video.
thx guys, highly informative vid 👍
Thanks Curtis
Very helpful 👍👍
An engine I am rebuilding has a bolt that goes through a coolant passageway, and the GM recommends using an RTV gasket maker to ensure that this bolt properly seals. I am assuming no threadlocker should be used in addition to that, but I was curious what you guys think.

Is this okay for a loose thread?
is there a thread sealant that activates more like glue, so that i can position my brass fittings in the direction required, which a lot of the time means they are not fully tightened?
It is said in this video that these thread-lockers are activated when tightened down, so that no air is present (anaerobic), so i assume that's not what i am looking for?
Guy's Please Be Extremely Careful not to get this threadlocker in your mouth while applying in a upside down position, It Will cause Lock Jaw! 🤓
Stealing this one..lol
LOL
Pedro Sanchez (Spain's présent PM) does exactly the same as Curtis with his hands when he talks😂😂😂😂😂
The blue thread lock I just bought seems really watery even after I shook it up. It looks nowhere near as thick as the blue in this video.
The one they used here was gel.
same here. runs out of the tube like water, useless.
yeah I mean... I always wear eye protection when applying thread locker, gimme a break lol
Will the heat from the engine melt the blue threadlocker??
they have threadlockers for high temperature environment
what threadlocker should I use for the metal coolant drain bolt? it keeps leaking, rtv doesn't help
Crush Washer with a silicone inner diameter washer works well for my drain bolts
I have abolt on my car that striped .Wonder will this work to keep bolt tight
Did it work? Me also have thread loose and want to use this?
I wonder if just using plumber yellow or white tape would work on helping threads grab
Im worried about the heat in tht bolt..
Yes did not think of that issue .. Well try this stuff and see . My issue did not become a issue like I thought it was going to be . So just used the plumbers tape No heat issue ither
Ok thnk you
I USED THE RED ON MY CALIBER BRACKET BOLTS, SHOULD I BE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING THEM OFF AGIN?
Is that brake calipers? Should I be suspicious the temperature of a brake caliper might get above the specified allowance for medium strength Threadlocker?
You should know by now. How did it go?
@@scientist100 they still good, i have not changed them yet
I don't understand the Surface Prep activator. You say at 1:02 that the parts have to be assembled "before the activator cures". What if the parts are difficult to assemble? For the High Temperature Sleeve Retainer it says the part can be heated for assembly, but the activator says max temp 120. It's not making sense. What if I clean the parts with acetone?
LOL
Shits like water .... he shows it like paste ...
So true
Dude.....wash your chin. Thanks for the info though.
