Reminds me of a short lived engine I disassembled.. Absolutely riddled with RTV squeeze out. It was like silicon spaghetti and it was everywhere.. Oil galleries, water passageways. Big daggy bits dangling down the intake runners.. Hard to know if the oil starvation was from the blocked pickup or just most of the engine oil being in the rocker cover because it couldn't drain fast enough lol.

Just used zrtv ultra black exactly as it says on the package instead of the ton used in the video and let it sit for about 27 hrs on a timing chain cover and water pump.
The water pump leak at one spot. Wasted a day for one spot and now how to take it apart.
For years I normally put it on one side of a normal gasket. Tomorrow I will replace with a normal gasket and no rtv.
I like the silicone combination gaskets so I guess I’ll move into 2022 but I live in the country so I have to fix my truck to get there or walk… it’s only 7 miles to the store and when I was 12 that was a normal walk

I had too many irons in the fire and the engine finally threw a rod through the side of the engine. Turned out to be blocked with too much silicone gasket sealant from a past oil pan seal that plugged the oil pump screen. Some mechanics are not up to snuff and haven't a clue. Another acquaintance used pure antifreeze and cracked an expensive block. The ignorance abounds and so I don't let too many people touch my vehicles and I don't have many problems with my work.
