  • Are you experiencing leaky gaskets? Cut gaskets have surface irregularities that create failure points. They’re also prone to relaxation, displacement and flange bowing and deformation. Watch the demo video and let Richard Hoe show you how liquid gaskets perform better and longer.

    I noticed that he used twice the amount of the required thread locker , about half of the outer bolt threads would never engage any threads , great for volume sales though .

    aluminum carters would be consider active or non active metal?

    • @gtirboost
      @gtirboost Před 3 lety

      Fundamentally Aluminium would be considered an “inactive” metal here. That being said, Loctite have a range of “flange sealing/gasketing” products that are now considered “primer-less”. This means, they will still fully cure to a thermoset plastic on “inactive” metals. Take for example Loctite 518. You can still use the recommended “activator/primer” on “primerless” products, but this would be more so used to dial in a shorter cure rate based on the graphs found in the technical data sheet. For further information about specific application perimeters, reach out to a friendly local Loctite application engineer.... they are always more than happy to help give advice on product selection 👍🏼
