Casting and gilding a skull, part one:casting

This video shows how we cast one of the skull models that we produce. We make them in Jesmonite and this version is a hollow skull with articulated lower jaw. After the casting of the skull all the details are engraved by hand to create a realistic and individual object, an object with the highest quality and finish. At the end of the film you will see the skull with a patinated finish but if you watch part two of the video you will see how it can be gilded with 23.75 carat gold leaf, transfered in to a highly unique and luxurious collectors object.
