Guess you'll just have to "Wing it", Simone.....🤪😁...Oh, Dear.... Over here in the Desert we never received this generation of Cortina(Post 1971...),we DID recive everything up until 1970. That being said you can still find Fenders and other shit for these cars most anywhere....IF you know where to go. I myself have Five 1967-through-1970 Cortinas including 2 Wagons and a single 1966 Wagon.
cant beat a bit of rust repair making 1 good wing out the 2. mk3 cortina wings must be quite hard to find nowdays & real nice examples must be very expensive.
Very touching, the present you gave Alex, she loved her shitting bird 😂 made her day. Lots of banging and the sparky glue gun will be required on the wing, hope it was cheep 🐦
Hi Simone, Finding used wings like that which is decent state considering the age of it must be thin on the ground these days, Well done in finding one.
TC is going to be a nice car if Pinky is anything to go by. It takes time. It was nice to meet you at Rustival, looking forward to future videos. Tony.
We had a great time at the weekend didn't we? .. Glad you got back OK.. Me and Tracy made it back without any issues in Mr. Blue Sky.. Hope to see you again soon.. (Phil) .. xxx
Hi Robert, Yes there is website called ex-pressed steel but the wings/ fenders are not available. If you need to replace a panel over there do you have to hunt for another car and hopefully salvage body parts?
@@CortinasAndClassics It depends on the car and how popular it is. There were so many made over the years so not everything will have a following. But for the popular ones you can get many if not all the parts you need and more parts are available every day. For the Mustangs,Camaros, chevelles,Novas 55-57 chevys and other similar popular cars you can just order most every part. There are many many retailers selling parts as well. As for the less popular cars swapmeets and craigslist are the best place to find parts. The largest swapmeet is at the end of May here at Texas Motor Speedway and was originally at the Pate Museum years ago. You can look up pate swapmeet to find it. We usually walk about 7 miles of it and we still miss out on around 1/3 of the vendors. It's big. Not far from me either and most of the vendors are individuals. We only have about 2-3 national parts vendors show up because the middle of the country doesn't exist to them. FYI DFW has lots of flights from London every day so if you fly out you can go with us and check out my shop etc. Weather that time can be anywhere from cold and wet to 100* and sweltering.

Great find Simone, I am sure your sympathetic repair skills will sort it. Very nostalgic 1970’s Ford colour
Thanks BB, I really like the colour.
TeeCee is going to look very smart 😊
I hope so Cheesey
Ah great, more welding video. I'm a sucker for welding videos as I have not done any welding for years myself. Great stuff.
I can't wait John.

To find a good one is strong money.

It was great to see you both Phil. Yes it was a tiring drive home but the show was definitely worth it.
@@CortinasAndClassics I want some pink stripy slippers like yours lol..xxx

I spotted a guitar that looks like a Strat, I am also a musician and I have a guitar collection. My 1981 Les Paul copy is one of my favourites.
Ah it's only a guitar for a video game. i can't play sadly although I wish I could.
Am sure iv got a brand new wing for a mk3 cortina not sure if ns or ds but deffo got one
👍🏴😁✌️
2:13 Jebus! I thought there was a severed hand laying there then!
It is. Ernest Ppp Pickle gave it to me.
@@CortinasAndClassics 😂🤣 Crikey! I'd be careful with that then. You don't know WHERE it's been.
Brave move, my thoughts would be to save up for a new wing or one that doesn't need work. Mac.
A very expensive choice Mac.
lol You might be right. A real expensive choice would be substituting your ride for a brand new modern SUV lol @@CortinasAndClassics
You'll be able to fly with a New Wing Simone.....
No red bull needed here haha
I missed Rustival as my poor MINI One has a noisy gearbox and slipping clutch. It will be mended soon I hope. I will be at the NEC.
I won't be attending the NEC for the foreseable
@@CortinasAndClassics It is a big show, I plan to go to the next Rustival.
@@davidking9707 Same here but I want to take TeeCee and Pinky next time.
@@CortinasAndClassics Very nice move. I like your Cortina. Gaydon is a great place.
You will sort that out no probs nice one
Thanks Adam. I reckon it's a relatively easy job.
@@CortinasAndClassics I really wanted to start doing some work today on mine was looking forward to it but the rain said no lol
@@AdamSNook. Yeah same, the rain is really depressing. I hope the warm weather is coming soon.
Get the paint code from pete
Is there any new sheet metal made for those cars? For us in the US there is nothing made for 4 door cars and wagons (estates).
