- In this broken messy film I attempted to replace the axle shaft bearings on the car. This resulted in wasted time, effort, money and caused me a great deal of stress. Enjoy.

Thanks for the feature! Hope I didn't spoil the video too much! It will be so good to see more progress on TeeCee
who dont love a old ford i sure do done the half shaft bearings on my old 105e anglia a while back too
Well done Simone. Just keep plodding along with the jobs that need doing and eventually the neglect that the car has had over the years will be reversed.
Love the video simone tc sounds good your quite talented at working on cars see you on Sunday all the best
3:08 thats some skills there to get TeeCee out
Heya I hope you enjoyed your day, pleased to meet you 🙂 L.
It was good yes, Great to meet so many people.
You are a grafter Simone & great news you have improved TeeCee at lower speeds & acceleration, Annoying it hasn’t helped the vibration @ high speed. Years ago dads Sierra 1.6 pinto needed valve stem oil seals @ 100,000 miles, but my 1.8 CVH went to 125,000 fine, so interesting you say they were uprated
I bought uprated on advice from a mk3 club member. I hope I can get the tools needed for the job.
Yeah seems to be a lot better Simone 😊😊
I am pleased so far. I am going to one more show then I have to get the car sorted properly.
Hi Simone ... not a nice job...those bearings are lubricated by the oil that is contained in the differential...its Hypoy EP 90 gear oil...the oil runs along the shaft to the bearings...if they are worn the shaft runs off centre and gives u the vibration...its possible that someone has put porridge in the diff if it has been whining....they used to do that with lorries years ago...Nice slide hammer.... ThanXx 4 the video...Keep Smiling....Bob...Paignton....☺😀
Thanks for watching Bob. I have already been in the diff and axle. Nothing there to cause concern :)
If you don't wanna do something don't, i refuse to be badgered into things. If i do something it's because i want to and if you ask for help and i say yes, then you'll know where you stand, i never say yes and mean no.
A Commern fault is the propshaft bearing breaking up causing vibration in car..
the main propshaft bearing has already been replaced. 👍🏻
RE: Fumes, could you have an exhaust leak? RE:bearings, so did you swap those then but not capture on film refitting? Its a job I've never done and now don't want too lol - looks painful. Hope the hand isn't too bad!! Cheers Macca.
Things went so badly that I filmed literally nothing.
My usual filming phone's battery has become bloated - rather dangerous. Not getting the shafts out of the axle basically put me off. The rear of the car needs new metal so that is how I think fumes are getting in.
The axle work is pretty straight forward as long as parts come apart.
did you do both wheel bearings ?
No but I will. The passenger side is fine for now.
U at Edgecombe this year Simone?
I will be there 😉
Excellent! I should have had my Volvo 940 done for this show but had to sell..😔,looking forward to seeing Teecee.
Loved our chat today Simone, teecee is awesome! Would chatted longer but my missus isn't a car person so had to move on😢😂
@@Andy-pf7me very nice to chat with you too, it was a very busy day but worth it 😁👍
Looking forward to the vid!,hopefully we'll get the "Nuts" and "FD" to attend next year. Teecee is car of the show for me,old cars limited tools and budget motoring is what I love.
