It's a much more common word in many languages. In Chinese for example we say 再说 much more often than english speakers would say "moreover".
@@EzraTheEpic ya I’ve rarely heard moreover in English. But Moses he knows it in every language. I bet that’s how he starts learning a new Language, he finds out how to say moreover first and then works off of that.
Because it’s a good conjunctive which is translated well in many languages
And here I thought he was trying to sound intelligent adding 'moreover' into every conversation!

The Chinese guy at 05:00 who can understand Mandarin but doesn't speak it is like my Samoan friend. His parents talk to him in Samoan and he understands but he never ever talks in Samoan back to them. Its always English. I asked him once why he doesn't ever talk Samoan and he said "I only spoke it when i was young and then when i went to school i just kind of stopped using it. I just understand it but cant really speak it"
Often, when people who say they understand it, but can't speak it are tested, they find out that they actually understand much less than they thought. Often when they are being spoken to by family, they already know the context of the conversation. But to listen to a story and then answer questions with no context, much, much more difficult.

Notice at 5:50 when he asks the guy if he speaks cantonese he replies no but his friend already told moses he could. Moses only weakness was he couldnt tell when people didnt like him. Yes the average person will be surprised and happy you know their language but you can tell certain chinese people were quite bothered by him. Idk if it was jealousy or envy but this video is a prime example of how people can get jealous of your mind. I loved this guy but it was sad he couldnt tell when they didnt like him.
