Yes, because it's in the core part of db that there's always someone stronger, and in the end, they'll always need them again. Vegito is Goku's goofiness and Vegeta's arrogance, but I believe he also inherited Goku's wiseness and values, and knows that there'll always be someone so strong that they will eventually need to use him, while gogeta is Vegetas insecurities and thus, wonders if they'll need to use him again.
As of super I'm assuming Vegito will probably never get used again. Considering Goku and Vegeta are even more powerful than the last time they used the potara earrings... And they couldn't hold together that much power for very long. As far as we know the fusion dance doesn't seem to have a limit on how much power it can hold together, it just lasts for ONLY a half hour so you better get the job done quickly.

He truly is his own person. Gokus purity of heart with Vegeta's sheer determination. He's the part of Goku that spared Vegeta, and the part of Vegeta thats thankful for Goku letting him live. Gogeta - the warrior that would be not for his own mercy.
Although I am fairly certain Vegeta loathed the fact that Goku let him live for decades. He mentions that fact in his Majin Vegeta speech. I'm sure he's over it by super, but he sure wasn't grateful for it. Yeah Toriyama really only follows the “rule of cool”. The Kamehameha was born from him doing cool poses in the mirror and the name came from his wife talking about some Hawaii King who first had the name. Dragon Ball is honestly not that deep. I do always love listening to people’s thoughts and theories about it but I always just remember that at the end of the day Dragon Ball is about cool people, doing cool stuff, with cool poses. Anything past that was most likely not intentional.

It is contentious but it's way cooler to be a soul purifying attack rather than just a simple ki blast anyways

Gogeta is more based on Goku, with his righteous nature and more calculated martial arts fighting style. He would use unorthodox moves to exploit openings, and his moves like soul punisher are based in goku's ideals to save others and give people a chance at redemption. But he is also hyper serious in his approach, like Vegeta. He isn't gonna play with his food trying to demoralize you, he gets right to business. Unlike Vegito, who is the embodiment of Vegeta's pride and ego while also having Goku's fun loving nature. He moves with the overconfidence of Vegeta, and lets his guard down like Goku, but also has both of their tactical minds. Basically, he takes calculated risks to demoralize you. That is also prevalent in his fighting style, where he dodges and has flashy kicks while keeping his arms crossed, uses straightforward destructive attacks like the final Kamehameha and spirit sword, and would rather roast you than murk you outright. If anything, that's why Vegito never got an actual win in the show. Gogeta is like "I don't have long, so let's make the most of it" Vegito is like "I don't need long to bust your ass, so lets make it interesting (for me)"
I’ve always been a Vegito head, but he and Gogeta are like yin and yang. Both forms are super hype to see in battle and seeing them both have such strong personalities is awesome.
gogeta isn't the "let's make the 30 minutes count" guy you all think he is. He fights for justice, enjoys it in the process, and he smiles when successfully using a soul punisher to either purify a soul or identify the soul is not evil.

Gogeta has been the most badass character in dragon ball for decades, he was first shown for a couple minutes but left such an impact on the fans they HAD to make him cannon. Yes, because it's in the core part of db that there's always someone stronger, and in the end, they'll always need them again. Vegito is Goku's goofiness and Vegeta's arrogance, but I believe he also inherited Goku's wiseness and values, and knows that there'll always be someone so strong that they will eventually need to use him, while gogeta is Vegetas insecurities and thus, wonders if they'll need to use him again.

As of super I'm assuming Vegito will probably never get used again. Considering Goku and Vegeta are even more powerful than the last time they used the potara earrings... And they couldn't hold together that much power for very long. As far as we know the fusion dance doesn't seem to have a limit on how much power it can hold together, it just lasts for ONLY a half hour so you better get the job done quickly.

He truly is his own person. Gokus purity of heart with Vegeta's sheer determination. He's the part of Goku that spared Vegeta, and the part of Vegeta thats thankful for Goku letting him live.

Although I am fairly certain Vegeta loathed the fact that Goku let him live for decades. He mentions that fact in his Majin Vegeta speech.

Yeah Toriyama really only follows the “rule of cool”. The Kamehameha was born from him doing cool poses in the mirror and the name came from his wife talking about some Hawaii King who first had the name. Dragon Ball is honestly not that deep. I do always love listening to people’s thoughts and theories about it but I always just remember that at the end of the day Dragon Ball is about cool people, doing cool stuff, with cool poses. Anything past that was most likely not intentional.

Both fusions are the perfect blend of both warriors, but with different mannerisms at the forefront.
Gogeta is more based on Goku, with his righteous nature and more calculated martial arts fighting style. He would use unorthodox moves to exploit openings, and his moves like soul punisher are based in goku's ideals to save others and give people a chance at redemption. But he is also hyper serious in his approach, like Vegeta. He isn't gonna play with his food trying to demoralize you, he gets right to business.
Unlike Vegito, who is the embodiment of Vegeta's pride and ego while also having Goku's fun loving nature. He moves with the overconfidence of Vegeta, and lets his guard down like Goku, but also has both of their tactical minds. Basically, he takes calculated risks to demoralize you. That is also prevalent in his fighting style, where he dodges and has flashy kicks while keeping his arms crossed, uses straightforward destructive attacks like the final Kamehameha and spirit sword, and would rather roast you than murk you outright.
If anything, that's why Vegito never got an actual win in the show. Gogeta is like "I don't have long, so let's make the most of it"
Vegito is like "I don't need long to bust your ass, so lets make it interesting (for me)"

I’ve always been a Vegito head, but he and Gogeta are like yin and yang. Both forms are super hype to see in battle and seeing them both have such strong personalities is awesome.
gogeta isn't the "let's make the 30 minutes count" guy you all think he is. He fights for justice, enjoys it in the process, and he smiles when successfully using a soul punisher to either purify a soul or identify the soul is not evil.

Edit: Gogeta probably knew soul punisher wouldn't do much against Broly, but at least he threw a "weaker" move first, instead of going for the kill right away.
