this is brilliant! I think method/workflow has just the right amount of complexity to give you control over eveything you need, and is not too complex to actually kill your enthusiasm so that your revert to simply using a gradient map for the conversion. thank you so much for this, can’t wait to try it out!

A nice video using this picture. The work for me, I can take dodge and burn tool, sometimes brightening the highlights. Thanks, by the way.

Michael, I just love your Black and White techniques.
Could you possibly tell me how to achieve that chromey look on skin I often see in publicised images.
I have been trying to achieve it for months without any success.

My English is not native, like many people who comment here and in addition to so much information is another challenge for us.
Thanks for your contribution, this is something that I have not seen in other channels, but at the same time it is something that in other channels would be explained by segments, because there is a lot of information that is worth explaining one by one and not all at once. .
It is just an advice and an opinion, as I will follow your channel, again thank you very much.

nice tuto. what about using hue/saturation+black and white (colors)+gradient map (best tool for tones) ?
what do you think about INFINITY black and white panel ?
do you prefer working that way than simply use sylver efex pro 2, especially now in NIK3, non destructive under lightroom ?

    Beautifull and artistic convertion michael!!
Could you help me please, in the minutes 2:56 until 2:58. Exactly when you drop below the color fill after that you press something and the layer became one (BW neutralizer). What did you press on that moment? You deleted? Or you merged? What did you do?
Cause when i get to the step channel mixer to the blue step it doesnt convert to me i mean nothing happens. Wait for your answer. Thank you very much🙏😁

In solid color, the value of rgb should be 127 or 128? Here you say the latter, but in the color tutorial, the former.

Why use a grey block colour instead of desaturation or black and white adjustments?

    • @enrique11121314
      @enrique11121314 Před 5 lety +1

ive seen comparisons of the different ways, and this way does the best at showing the colors luminosity values rather than the colors turned to black and white. (i hope that made sense)

I think you understand PS and photography but it was hard to follow your thought process. Like there is probably a clearer way to explain your improved way of colour to B&W effect

WHen you started including the other blend modes in the tutorial you lost me. You identified two layers that are your favorite, but I lost you after that.

I don’t claim to fully understand exactly how everything works but what I do fully appreciate is he demonstrated multiple methods to achieve what you want. Every image is different and may require a different approach.

You speak too fast and the letters on your PS are too small to understand. Slower, smooth and thoughtful mouse movements will improve the learning effect and the quality of the Video. I like the content and the end result. Less is more!
