Thank you to Sunbelt @SunbeltRentalsMedia rentals for having the Billy Goat walk behind Brushcutter.
We needed a machine that would help us cut the hill in front of my parents property. We also used it to cut the clover plot, we planted this past fall. The Billy Goat had no problem at all on the hills or cutting down the small 1-2" trees. What a great and easy machine to run and operate.

Good morning GP this is the second time we rented it and both times we were impressed!
I'm going to find out next week. I have a job. That s about 1.5 acres that hasn't been touched since this time last year and absolute jungle mostly thistles about 4 feet tall. If it survives I will be absolutely impressed
@@wv-fisherman5049 good morning WV I think it will! The first time we rented one we cleared the top clover plot. That was over grown with small 1-2” trees, vines, thorn/ berry bushes. It’s a great machine.

Sorry for the late response, we rented the Billy Goat from Sunbelt Tool Rentals.
They seem to have the best rental prices and newest machines in the Piedmont/Greensboro area.
One of my best friends moved to Asheville and she loves it!

Do you have snakes there? NC has copper heads, and rattlers I would not enjoy clearing out those woods that much.

Good afternoon Dan, thank you I have been trying to do a better job with my editing. Yes we have seen 1 copper head and 5 black snakes so far this year. We noticed if we turn the machines on vibrate the ground before we work we don't run into any.
I have a fence around a pasture. The brush has almost over taken the fence. I’m going to rent one and try it before the weather gets too hot.

Were you able to use the zero turn in the video to maintain the lawn after you cut with the Billy Goat Brush Hog?

Very nice machine . DR use to make good products but not anymore . Billy goat is top shelf in my book . Everything looked really nice when you were finished . Hope the drone is still flyable . How did you get Harry there on time ???? LOL

Is it better to use this machine during the cooler months when the leaves have fallen, to make the process easier? I rented one before but it seemed that in the summer months the grass and brush was too thick, so i returned it.

Where do the clippings go?

I wonder if adding a steel counterweight to the back would make it easier to lift and turn around. That seems to be a problem.
The hill is a lot steeper then it appears and the snake boots I have do not have great traction on hills. So it was me not the machine it was very well balanced and so much fun to run and operate.
@@joesoutdoorexperience ok, maybe it is deceiving me but it looks like a lot of effort was required to lift the front of the machine, if your on a steep hill that would explain things better. I think this unit would be handy for someone who has trails to maintain.
@@davidbrennan5 I’m sure it’s the camera and our angles! But we are going to rent it again I want to clear out about an 1.5-2 acres by the clover field we planted and this tool will heal pour so much.

Think this thing will cut down tall thick ornamental grass?
Good morning Justinsnow, I do apologies for the late response this comment just came across now! Personally I am not sure, it may depend on how thick the grass ball or circumference is. I had no issues with the machine I rented its incredibly strong but I was mowing over small trees/brush, I just dont want to provide the wrong information.
Does this machine require a lot of muscle to turn while mowing?
Good morning moose201, on flat land I would say not really. On a hill like what I was working on, a bit more yes! But all in all I found the machine to be relatively well-balanced and extremely easy to maneuver.

that's steep for the rental, its $75 a day here but, these are great machines.
