2:40 Commentary 5:55 Final walk through 6:51 Verdict on the Billy Goat Recorded with DJI Mavic Mini, Olympus TG-4, and Samsung 10e using DJI OM-4 gimbal. Edited with Windows Movie Maker.
Rented this today at Home Depot. I can attest that it will knock over 8 foot high trees that are 2 inches thick and cut them to pieces. We knocked out thick brush today with this.
This was great! instead of trying to help him figure it out they where laughing at him ;) this actually helped me Tremendously as I’ve never used one before but I will be soon. The visual was great thanks for the video.
Thanks for the video... it's helpful. I am a small woman and trying to figure if I can handle this beast. I think I can, except for loading/unloading from the truck. Good to see that part of the process, too.
If you rent from home depot just don't expect sharp blades. I rented a stump grinder... the carbide teeth were shot and it worked poorly. I rented a post hole digger and the auger would barely dig until I ground the point myself. I just looked at one of their Billy Goats like in this video... The blades on these take a lot of abuse and they do not sharpen them. If you rent one at home depot, plan on sharpening it.
How does it work with ivy? I was concerned that the vines would cause the machine to get clogged at the blades. Also, we have a lot of rocks throughout our property, which are hard to see in the grown-up weeds. Although obviously we'd be careful, but how much can this goat take? In the video, it just looked like the land was just tall weeds. I didn't see any rocks. Last, is it hard to handle on the side of a hill, like at a ditch? Thank you! Our land is horrible, and I need any help I can get!
Hi Teresa. I'm not an expert but it sounds like the Billy Goat may not be best suited for your environment (vines, rocks, hills). That being said, not sure what would work for your situation and we are talking about a "rental". :-)

How much did they charge for your rental? The local Bob White Rents here charges $92 a day for a Brush Hog rental.
Hi. The Billy Goat rental fee at Home Depot was $74 for 4 hours. They charge $105 for daily rental.
@@Reaper131977 I just paid $130 for 24 hours for the Billy Goat.

It works with blunt force. You hear a big bang let go of the blade lever and back up but it takes a hell of a beating.
how much to buy one new?
