Hi John just found your channel, great videos and commentary. I’m saddened by the state of Toyota today and unfortunately I highly doubt they give a crap. Bottom line is corporate greed rules with the only concern being how low can we go with quality and how high can we price it. The only reason I was a loyal Toyota customer was quality and reliability which the new Tundra and Tacoma prove is most likely gone. I didn’t love always paying ‘more’ for a Toyota but was okay with it because I knew I was purchasing something that was reliable and would last. With all that said I’ll admit that I guess I’m still a bit of a ‘fanboy, I just bought one more Toyota and most likely my last…a 2024 4Runner, built in Japan with an OLD design that I know will be reliable and will last. Keep up the great content!

I’ll see what I can do to keep pushing videos along, but it’s tough when car prices are so high and I may not be in the market for a long time. I wanted to get a tundra we saw how that fell apart.

Yeah, they have not been doing too well lately at all. Now the Tacoma on their first generation are having issues with the transmissions overheating. Other reports are they are starting to skip gears. And in the manual transmission gears 24 and six are breaking.

Do some research! The problem with the Tundra was not the fault of the engine but a manufacturing problem. They didn't clean metal fragments out of the block after machining.
