Boycott new car purchase for 2 years, They will be back to normal, Let's make a promise now
We need to start a movement!!!
Thats right! Boycott!!
How about it's just too effing expensive. I mean Toyota's pricing in getting right up there with Lexus. PFFT! I got 0% APR on my new 24 Subaru Outback Onyx XT. Getting 31 MPGs on the highway. I came out of a 4Runner that was a gas hog costing me like $85 a week in fuel. Go on a two hour trip in it, forghedaboudit!
I’ve heard great things about Subaru. I need to go check em out. Wish they made trucks!
i think the reason is production is gng up and also people have learn not to just thrown money on cars, MPGs rely on very many factors, not everyone will get same as yours.
Great insight
I have a Grand Highlander with the panoramic sun roof. The A/C is undersized for the southern hot weather. Even with the the roof insulator closed the head room area is hot. Not enough insulation to stop the green house effect.
Totally agree on that one. The vented seats do help though
Toyotas don’t place a priority on insulation.
Toyota became greedy
I agree totally just wait until I release the tundra video
The toyota dealers for greedy.
The dealerships are greedy.......
I have a Platinum all wheel drive non hybrid. I have had it close to a year. Seeing about 15 or 16 mpg in town. About 22 Hwy. Not a bad ride and the engine performance (response not efficiency) is actually better than I expected, but you have to get past hearing the sound of a 4 banger in such a large vehicle.
That’s pretty good. Good to hear
Just purchased (June 2024) 2025 Pilot Touring, got 6% off MSRP and 2.9% 36m promotional interest rate. Did have to travel about 30 miles outside of city limits to a dealer that was willing to deal. In the city no one is dealing.
That’s awesome to hear. I’m glad you had a great deal.
I am in nyc and I was trying to buy hybrid grand Highlander they really don’t have any here but gas one they show 20 plus
Production is kicking up. Hold tight! Dont get ripped off
Do not buy a Toyota in FL. Not only do they tack on the addendum of worthless stuff, but the $699 free oil change and tire rotation, then the $1900 dealer prep. I drove to Midwest to buy mine at window sticker with $180 dealer fee.
You have to be extremely firm in Florida when buying. We got ours $1500 below MSRP. But it involved a ton of shopping around and walking out of dealerships… I hung up on one of the salesman because he was being an @hole
They put a 4cyl engine in this big car. Very stupid of Toyota .
Yep our gas mileage is 21MPG at best.
The regular Hybrid system is a bit anemic for the Grand Highlander. Good on gas, however. Hybrid Max is awesome. And, yes, they are very expensive.
Totally agree- I think it’s 245 hp and I think the GH vs reg Highlander is about 900lbs less.
Looking to buy one in WA in the coming 2-4 months. Wondering if the deals are going to get better?
My thoughts suggest they will. There is a slow down and there are more and more of these on the market. I would hold out and there will be some good deals
24 mpg on the gas model i think they dont turn on the AC WHEN THEY TEST THE MPG
lol! Great point
You be lucky if you get close to half of those mpg on sticker
@@johnnyb231 I think I’ve we drive 25mph everywhere we may get 22
I get 24mpg with mix of highway and street on my 2020 rx350 with the na v6. I drive light but i press the pedal off the street light.
The major safety recall is scary but they are nice vehicles in my opinion better than the regular highlander. Definitely hate that it's a turbo 4
Hopefully they offer a v6 like the Lexus version
@@SoarAndMore if it's anything like the lx, tundra, or sequoia twin turbo v6. I'm staying away
In Europe waranty is mandatory and included and tget are Not Allowed to sell it. No manufacturer is allowed to sell without minimum warraty. Less i've seen 3 years, best i've seen 7-10 years. These vehicles are not expensive. Below 30 k, and have 10 years warranty foe 100k km to 200k on engine and transmission. km
Thank you for the great information! That’s amazing
The market is stabilizing
Agreed. I’m going to a few more dealerships to see what’s going on.
Well.. I don’t think it was a demand issue. They got a stop sale order. Investigation could have been on going for air bag safety.

They’re noisy as hell, and underpowered, I was going to trade in my V6 2021 for one but when I test drove he GH I was like hell no! And kept my old Highlander
Thank you for the comment!
I was wondering how does a four cylinder power such a big truck, thanks for confirming that
@@kevinbrown5942 as far as the 4 cylinder turbo, it’s not a big problem as far as get up and go. The one thing I’m worried about is it’s the same engine and transmission as the new Tacoma and the 2024 Tacomas’ transmissions are having issues. People are reporting overheating, hard gear shifting, some specific gears not working… seems there is a big mess brewing. Supposedly there is supposed to be a V6 offering in the Lexus TX next year. I hope they follow for the grand highlander.
There will be shortages again because of the recall no new ones are being made
Yep and dealers will use that to enforce shortage tactics on addendums… crazy
What is the “XP” package. It’s not on the Toyota web page.
All I could see is that it says “XP” on the fender and has blacked out wheel and some different interior pattern in the seats. $$$$$ cha Ching
More than 18 months wait time for hybrid in Ontario 🤦🏻♂️
It’s has to normalize..
Toyota doesn’t even want to sell cars in Canada, they lose 37%
@@JacobStiegel how do you calculate that?
@@shimgimto there’s a currency loss
@@JacobStiegelthe price is not 1:1, didn’t look through all but you can see xle awd starts at $43,320usd and $53,555 in canada. In any case they will not sell at a loss 😊
Just wondering what will happen with the lexus tx
That’s a great question but I’m hearing that they are offering it in the V6 so that’s a plus
@@SoarAndMoreI own a TX with the 4 cyl. Other than the 4 banger sound, it’s great. Quicker than the old 3.5 and averages 23 mpg.
@@rustynail7866 that’s awesome! We aren’t that lucky 21MPG here and I have noticed that it’s not as peppy as our 2018 Highlander V6. Thank you for the comment!
The dumb xp package is just a price gouge
Totally agree
For being such a highly anticipated rollout by Toyota, these things are truly one of the most boring vanilla unremarkable designs I could imagine. Looks like every other import suv but even less style and personality than anything else.
But they are priced so well! (Sarcasm)
I prefer the Volkswagen Atlas sel over Toyota Grand Highlander but on paper the stats make more sense. However styling wise I'd go with VW. I have a Toyota but fingers crossed I still hope I don't regret my purchase. 🥺
61k lol😂
Crazy greed
