Parker ran really well. If she learns more about geometry and runs better tangents, chances are the race would be even closer
I got a question , Tuohy ran in the middle of the front pack so she couldn’t run Tangents until about 3.5K when she broke loose to go after Valby so to me that was a wash. So even if Valby ran tangents it would have made Tuohy start her kick sooner
@@johnhiggins7970 I think they were pretty close in distance thru 4K with Parker drifting pretty wide on the first "180" but you are right Tuohy could not run the turns tight until she started surging approaching 4K. The rest of the way Tuohy ran the tangents and turns better perhaps saving herself 10-15 meters the way I see it.

At this time, Katelyn cannot beat Parker in a 5K race at a collegiate track venue -- no hills, no shifting angles and no freezing cold weather [adversely affects warm climate runners]. Parker runs like a diesel engine -- incredible steady and powerful speed from start-to-finish -- Katlyn cannot match

@@hairtoss7975 I followed that race. That was then -- Parker coming off a serious ankle injury with little training prior to that race. I'm mean now -- not then -- could change in the future. Having run thousands of 5k's [mainly for health and fitness], that's what I feel watching that cross-country race at my alma mater.

Any chance you have any meds left? Tuohy 3, Parker 0. Watch Dec3 for new NCAA record for 5K, take a wild guess who sets it. Later new record in 1500 , my guess it’s the same person
