Hands up, who got a bit emotional watching that one!? 🙋♂️
Global Triathlon Network I was cutting onions while watching it mate, honest!

Great movie 👍

Not gonna lie, there are easier ways to get a black t-shirt
@Beijing Enduro jokeee
Ahhahahah
Forget the haters. This made me laugh.🤣🤣🤣
@Beijing Enduro joke bro joke, I think u missed the point more than anyone hahaha
@Beijing Enduro the irony of this comment...
Imagine running to the Finnish line and then realize you're in Norway.
Ba dum ts!

Zayne simard moore good going
i ran a 10k with no training and got a 42:08

Welcome to another episode of “Where quarantine has led me today.”
Then today is a good day 🙌
Where today we have multiple triathlons in our recommended
👏👏👏👏
🤣🤣🤣 am glad I am not the only one
😂😂😂
We never saw his black t-shirt!!!!
Tom Dean yeah!! Where’d it go???
That’s what I was thinking. It was such a goal being in the top and the black shirt. I thought maybe it looked like the one he had on already so we couldn’t tell.
He sold it on ebay ;)
wore it on the next gtn shows
😂🤣😅 You got me there.
The level of fitness you and the other people running this race have is so insane to me. The fact that humans can achieve stuff like this never ceases to amaze me. Super inspiring.
Proof of God
when you truly reflect on that
Most of them are doping but still an amazing achievement
Yeah, everybody better than you seems to be cheating.
It's how we hunted back when we lived in caves, the human body is truly a Terminator among animals.
@@ArkBlanc well in terms of insurance. Every other quality we're pretty weak actually
We are so used to Heather, Fraser, and Mark be these fun loving CZcams hosts that it’s easy to forget that they are still elite athletes.
Imagine how good it must feel taking ur socks off after doing this
Sadly, nothing feels good for at least a day :) Your legs are aching, your stomach feels funny, you have little appetite even though you need food badly... Really unpleasant state for quite a while.
Mamsaturatdevoi I know that feeling I do off road try’s and race enduro mtb lol
@@Mamsaturatdevoi I can relate
@@Mamsaturatdevoi I always feel really hungry during/after a bike ride?
Jumping into a bath of almost unbearably hot water and adding more hot as you go is the best.
Beautifully edited video, congrats Mark, this is an outstanding effort. Brutal course! Massive hat tip to your support crew, especially having Fraser as your wingman for that run up the mountain.
Thanks 🙌
1. Amazing effort, Mark.
2. Amazing effort by your entire support crew.
3. This video should win an Oscar. Such a beautifully made production.
Thanks, it was a top team effort from all involved - we're so glad you enjoyed it! 🏆
@@gtn yeah this was GTN production skill at its best, kudos!
@@gtn 14:06 this shot is amazing! I can feel how high and far away the finish point is.
This Video is really amazing!
@@TadyZaZ It is isn't it! You really get a sense of how hard it's going to be, after coming this far it becomes a real psychological challenge! Thanks!
I did my first 10K on Saturday. In a strange way, it's addicting. I want more.
🙌
Yeah. The more you run, the more it get addicted. Next year i want to do a marathon
Piece Cake I’m with you, except I’m training to do a marathon in about 2 months. Not an official one. Just marathon distance.
@@dragonsharker4793 how much is your longest distance and how goof are you trained? I did last week 18 and this sunday 20. And in fall it will be 30
Piece Cake not trained too well, running around 20 miles per week, depending on the time I have. My runs are usually 10K but I’m planning on doing a half marathon in about 2 weeks.
I feel like when people do these type of things it really changes their lives in such a positive way not only physically but mentally
For a begginer triathlete that struggled with my first sprint a week ago...this is the most motivating thing I have gotten to watch, along with Fraser's Celtman race. I found myself with teary eyes as I wrote this. Congratulations to you guys!
Awesome, use it as inspiration in your next triathlon, we all start somewhere, the hard bits are part of the journey ❤️
"I wasn't racing for money, I wasn't racing for a job, I was racing for myself".
Wow!! Such powerful words Mark. Thanks for sharing this experience with us !!!!
acctually he was racing for a tshirt
@Joel Hale A black T-shirt
@@sestytoes389 Yeah coz' he didn't like the White one! Honestly, how further will ppl go for a different coloured T-shirt!
Man I just started running and three miles is killer this man got me emotional with how determined he was
Soon three miles will be your warming up, and 10 miles is a run you'll do before going out with friends.
Really :).
Watching Fraser hug an emotional Mark at the end, reminded of the time when Mark hugged an emotional Heather after she completed Kona !!!!
Heather, Fraser & Mark....you guys are absolutely brilliant.
All the best for everything you do in the future !!!
Thanks!
Having a crew like this is a real god given gift. I pray everyone has such frnds they are rely on
Haha thats not the hardest part lmao
The weird thing about these extremely long efforts are the ups and downs you experience, both physically and mentally. You can feel like shit for an hour and then suddenly feel euphoric and strong for an hour and then back again. It’s a mental game, you did great!
I did a 100k ultra marathon and experienced every emotion under the sun all within 1 hour lol
I felt that way in training but on race day with so many people around it was a distraction. The finish line makes up for it :)
Oh me Mark, that brought tears to my eyes - kudos to you, your first ever Ironman and you chose Norseman!! You did unbelievably well and loved seeing you in front in the water - not sure I would have jumped off that ferry! Loved the whole video and I really felt for you. Be proud 😊
Glad you enjoyed the journey 🙂
What is Ironman, I recently got interested in trithalon
@N I One of the most challenging triathlons in the world
ya jumping into the cold water in the beginning looks the toughest part of it
This made me so emotional! I’m so proud of you, it takes a lot of physical and mental strength to push through like that
Watching this the day before my own long distance race tomorrow really helped and inspired me. Thanks GTN and congratulations Mark!
Well done! Great inspiration for many others! Congrats
Mark, Fraser, two of the most likeable people on CZcams. Huge congrats on this incredible achievement. Watched this to pep me up for my sunday morning long run...boy do I have no excuses!
Great job Mark! I've been looking forward to hearing about your experience in this race!
This is terrifying and inspiring! Thank you for filming this - it gives a good feel of the challenge and thanks for speaking openly about the tough moments without the usual bravado. Great great achievement!
I just started doing triathlons this year I'm 14 and hope to do this tri one day thank you so much
jonas whitehill I’m 14 to and also hope to do this triathlon one day , Ive always loved Norway and wanted to visit and this triathlon is so cool.

Congratulations Mark!
I've done the Norseman back in 2017, and watching this video and your race report has brought so many good memories. Thank you!
Whenever I'm feeling low or have no motivation to go for a run the next day, I watch this !!!!
The scenery, the background track, Mark pushing himself to the limit & "Fraser". What's not to love.
My favourite video by GTN. Absolutely fantastic.
Loved ones and friends make the effort worth while. Congrats Mark on this accomplishment. And congrats to the support crew too! The fact that this is a beautifully made video is a bonus!
Have never seen your videos before. This was done so well. I had no expectations going into this video and you still managed to shatter them. Keep up the good work!
Mark is truly a machine. Both mental and physically strong. Keep giving your all best till the end.
Incrediable achievement . You have gone where few would dare . Ultimate respect !!
So much effort went into everything about this, and the amount of pain that I know you went through is incredible. You earned it
Well done, Mark! And well done to your team and GTN for putting together a great video. Great spotlight on it taking a great support structure to accomplish your goals!
OMG My eyes were watering by the time you got to the running part. You're so inspiring.
I just love how his partners keep on supporting him! Having good partners in life is a blessing!
Wow, well done Mark and the team, I felt like you took me along for the journey...I was nervous just watching....thank you for sharing truly inspirational
A truly phenomenal video. Props to Mark for the insane amount of effort and to all of the team behind supporting him and editing the video!
Can’t imagine the pain I’d be in going up the mountain. Well done mate!!
Super Mark you are a source of inspiration and humility.. Also bravo to Fraser fir his support: this is what a true friendship is. Great vid
Great job, Mark (and your support). Well edited, even a little emotional when you got to the finish line. 👍❤️
Awesome Mark, you're an absolute machine 💪 I've been looking forward to this video for a while, and it didn't disappoint. Great work GTN on the superb and inspiring content!
Absolutely amazing film and a truly inspiring effort 💪💪💪 Well done Mark
Absolutely amazing vid, congrats to mark for his incedible performance
Iv been waiting for this and I was not disappointed. Honestly you guys and GCN bringing out these quality videos is keeping me wanting to get out on my bike every day! Kudos for such an amazing effort!
You absolute legend. Well done Mark, great effort and hats off to the support crew. You've inspired me to get back into IronMan triathlons again after taking a break for a few years. Thank you.
I started trail running 3yrs ago. I had 1 night half marathon where it rained like 2hrs before the start. Because of the humidity I couldn't keep my heart rate down below 160 (I was 46-47), so after 2 miles I gave up running. I walked 11.4 miles to the finish. I enjoyed the entire experience because I learned. It's not about your time, it's about your journey.
Like in everything else... at the end of the day... NO ONE CARES about YOUR time but YOU. Enjoy the experience. :)
Kevin OBrien so true, well said!
Kevin OBrien å
Music was awesome. Camera work was awesome. And your effort epic. Thank you SO much for sharing this. Loved it 👍👍👍
incredible video, well done Mark in completing the hardest race in the world, absolutely amazing achievement and to Fraser on the support and to the GTN team for all the behind the scenes work put in. Very inspirational!
I keep coming to watch this video whenever I need motivation for my training. WELL DONE MARK AND THE TEAM!
Huge congratulations Mark, that’s some way to complete your first full distance tri. Loved the look on your face at the end, that slow dawning realisation of what you have achieved.
🎉🎉🎉
Can't take away memories 🙌
Where is the 45 min version? Just an amazing vid! 11 h an 30 minutes!!!Beyond amazing
Loved every second of this video! Your expression at the top of Gaustatoppen tells everything. Good on ya mate!
An outstanding effort Mark, really congrats!
I think this is probably GTN’s best video yet, it was just so well done!
Wow, your are an inspiration Mark, really well done.
Great to see Daniel Tosh focusing on his health instead of his comedy career.
Well done. Great to see these challenges from the GTN crew always shed a tear watching these videos.
got a bit tearie eyed watching your journey I could just imagine the pain you were going through. I myself is a runner but not in your scale. there was so many moments that I had to dig deep to complete my runs and the feeling of it afterwards is such an emotional reward. keep it up.its always great to have people around you to support you and knowing that you could never let them down no matter what.
You guys have no idea how long I've waited for this!!!!
Absolutely stunning work guys. I've seen this 3 times already & I still get goosebumps.
Well done Mark, Fraser & Cassie !!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I started crying at the end... damn it, Mark :(
Amazing work Mark! These GTN specials of Norseman, Frazer at Celtman, and Heather at Comrades/Kona are raw and emotional experiences. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Simply the best video on triathlon I have ever seen. Incredible effort! There's everything: preparation, skills (especially mental). But, overall it shows like a little bit of madness is the ultimate drive for 'us' long distance athletes (well just made a few average 70.3 myself 😅 but enough to be able to relate to some of that struggle).
Congratulations and some envy knowing how hard (if not impossible) would be to get on the top of that mountain!!
Congratulations and well done. I knew you would be able to finish but did not think you would find it so hard!!!.. New to the sport, I finished my third ever triathlon two weeks ago at the Sweden Ironman. I'm new to swimming and not great at running either but it is thanks to you and your support team at GTN that I achieved my goal also. Congratulations again and thanks for your support videos and inspiration.
Congratulations on your IM!!
was waiting for this video!
The minutes right after getting to the finish it all makes sense. All the training, the long days, the pain, the journey. At that moment you love your support crew more than ever, you are so proud, you are in such pain. But everything is just beautiful. Great video
Respect, Mark. Truly Inspirational and not so incredibly performance focused as many other videos about big events. I mean, for many of us it's sometimes all about reaching the finish line and not giving in. Loved it.
Congratulations Mark on an amazing achievement, would love to have seen more footage of you two going up the mountain. How did your top speed compare to the guy you interviewed before the race?
I cried... amazing achievement!!! Bravo!!! ;-)
Truly an inspiration! Fantastic recap of the race journey (both physical and mental). You can be so proud of yourself and your achievements in the race. Well done!
That was amazing to watch. Congratulations. I can't even run 25 mins without stopping. It's amazing how well you did
Well done Mark - what a legend. I loved this video. I love this channel!
❤️
Me: Struggles to find the energy get out of bed on time

this is so motivational for me. Makes me wanna push through even when my brain is telling me to stop. Thank you bro! this vid helps a lot. :)
So motivating, gave me goosebumps seeing you fight through the cramping. Love that warrior spirit. I need to go do this.
Inspirational stuff Mark. yeah you do get emotional watching this one, but it makes me so motivated to get to the line in my first Full IM in 2021 before my 40th. I'm doing it for my Pop who has dementia and I'm also raising money for Dementia Australia until IM Port Macquarie 2021. So far in the last 9 months ive raised $2000 with a goal target of at least $5000. Fingers crossed across the board. Thank you GTN
I love this. Fantastic achievement, Mark, even if GTN coverage made the race even more difficult to get into :-)))
Best video so far on this channel!!! Congratulations and keeps up the good work
Fantastic video, what an amazing achievement, well done Mark and your support crew too.
Well done, it looked bloody painful hope you've rested and recovered well enough now?
Amazing video! I got my black shirt too this year, but with a much slower time! I can relate so much, a good swim, cramps soon on the bike doubting myself, good start on the run, but I was getting passed by like crazy, finally took some rythmes. I had to ask my girlfriend to walk zombie hill as well, but I was bad company, talking was taking a lot of energy, even listening was too much lol. That black shirt means so much, it was all worth it :) Good job Mark impressive performance!
Well done to you too - there was more than one story at Norseman, we're just very lucky to get to tell ours! Great work!
What a beautiful video to watch! Kudos to Mark for stepping up to this challenge. Well done GTN!
Fantastic effort Mark, Chapeau to you and the team for a great video. Full of emotion and gave a real insight into the toughness of the event. Another GTN success, keep these coming guys. If you have the energy left.
Awesome Video, Awesome Achievement, Awesome Support, Awesome Production. Congrats!
Thank you ❤️
To have this goal, achieve it with the humbleness and sincerity is a huge first in your armory. To be in the top 20 is an amazing feat. Introducing your inner feelings, seeing Frazier share the day with you is amazing. You have a loving girlfriend. I am doing Italy Ironman 70.3 in a few weeks and this has inspired me. I am traveling half way around the world to do this race. Maybe see you guys there.
We won't be there but a massive good luck!
Great work. I really enjoyed it. I like to say I started watching GTN from the start and I have seen the improvements that have done. This was a great show. Congratulation.
Seeing you waiting for the start brought back standing by a lake in the midlands to take on The Longest Day - I think the UK's first full IM distance race...great to know that no matter how experienced you are there's all the excitement , nerves and self doubt that we all feel..brilliant race and hats off to your support crew who always matter so much.
*Me seing the title:* What? Isnt the Ironman the toughest triathlon?
*Me after seing the course:* no wait nevermind
Inspired...Chapeau !
Managed to bumble into watching this again, and had the same emotional reaction I had the first time. Such a great video
That was inspiring and an amazing documentary. Great effort and a good support team. This certainly seems to be one of the toughest triathlons.
The description of the race made me sweat
First Fraser, now you. Why do you want me to cry? :')
Keep up the awesome work and enjoy a cold beer or three 😊🍺
You're not alone on that one, don't worry 😬 Little bit deserved 🍻😁
That's very motivational Mark. Great video GTN, really placed me in a great mindset in accomplishing the task at hand. Thanks.
I enjoyed every second of this video, and got even a bit emotional. Incredible work Mark, you should be so proud. Editing of the video is perfect.
Well done!
We have been looking for this video 😍 thnks GTN
🙌
Just come across this video. I'm so proud of you, Mark!
Got emotional and went through it with you, tears rolling down my face.
What a beautiful dream that you accomplished! Marvellous Norwegian scenery, deep waters and brave humans testing the top of their ability.
Thank you GTN. I've recently become a new subscriber to your channel and the content that you put out is so inspiring and engaging! I might turn into a triathlon aficionado coming from zero knowledge about the sport and just loving exercise and movement in general :) Do keep up your first-class work!
Oh wow, what a great video! It almost made me lose my senses and enter the race . . . . but not quite :-) Huge congratulations, on finishing in such a great time, and for pushing through your dark moments.
