This clay rendition of DK JR makes me want this design to be used in some sort of DKC romhack, because the clay gives him a similar look to the SNES pre-rendered computer graphics
If memory serves me right, Diddy Kong was the reincarnation of Donkey Kong Jr. was one of the many 1980's Gunpei Yokoi's masterpieces to not survive to this day. Princess Daisy, Pit, and Samus are the only survivors out of all of Gunpei Yokoi's 1980's masterpieces.
I think it's Cool that they referenced Mach Rider and Game & Watch too Or maybe that's the Excitebike racer, but the color palette reminds me of Mach Rider I gotta check if Mach Rider was an e-reader card

I used to have the E-Reader and NES card games back then. Sold them on ebay later on and rebought all the NES card games on eshop for 3DS. Course I could have done that too on nintendo switch online now but oh well.
Donkey Kong Jr. may not be an interesting character and may have had a bland design, but it's interesting what he has appeared in until Diddy Kong appeared.
I reckon he's very cute looking. And I honestly see him as being a very childlike and 1950s sorta version of diddys personality. I'd bring him back just as a character to play as for spin off games. Like as a second partner to Donkey Kong. And baby mario and luigi appear along side mario and luigi so I'm sure it won't screw up the canon.

plot twist: Dk junior is diddy kong and he lost some weight and bought new clothes then changed his name to diddy, so thats why diddy kong exist.
