I'm a retired plumber from Texas and I'm not in the market for any heavy machinery and have never done your type of work yet, I watch and enjoy your videos. I have no idea what lead me to your channel back when I first found it but I'm grateful to whatever it was. I respect anybody who works hard for what they have, no matter what it is that they actually do. There is no job hierarchy. Every job is important, from the person sweeping the floors up to the person signing paychecks. Every job has to be done for us to function as a society and I appreciate how you aren't the least bit arrogant. You're highly skilled so you could be an arrogant ass, like so many others with CZcams channels, but you're not. You're very confident though, and that instills confidence in the viewers mind that yes, this guy is giving out honest and dependable information, information that I can take to the damn bank! So I watch every video that I'm notified about and hell, I don't even own a diesel truck either!
When I got out of school in '71 I worked as a rig welder in the oilfield until it imploded in '86. I changed professions because I had a family that depended on me and the oilfield had died, it seemed like overnight. I had to start at the bottom but it's still one of the best decisions that I ever made. I have a point, I promise. I have a '65 C20 that I've converted to a C30 because I want to build another welding rig like the '63 C20 that I built in high school and started my welding career with. I've watched you build Grandma's truck and hit obstacle after obstacle and as discouraging as that is, you kept moving forward. Doing something like that is expensive as hell, under the best of circumstances and people who have never done that sort of thing have no idea. They sit in the safety net of their keyboard and in their ignorance, just puke their negativity all over the floor and you just roll with it. You know, like a man does. I don't imagine that anybody who ever picked a fight with you ever walked around and bragged about it afterward, anyway.
Anyhow, I said all of this just to say: Thank you! I'm not inundated with political bullshit here and I appreciate the hell out of that. Like so many others, I'm so tired of political bullshit and love that I don't get that here. I can also guarantee that if I decide to buy another trailer instead of building one, it will be a Diamond C! And I'll make sure they know that you referred me. I'm sure that I missed some episodes too so can't remember when the baby is due. But I hope she is doing well and the pregnancy is moving along as expected and that she isn't having any problems. Y'all will be great parents. My son and I are still best friends today, although the roles are slowly reversing as I get older. He's 48 and I'm 67 and I find myself asking him for advice more and more. I taught him to be honest so I sometimes don't like what he has to say but I always know that it's the honest truth. And that's probably what I appreciate the most about your channel, honesty. Thanks for that!

I have learned a lot from your videos in general and least one tid bit of useful information from all your videos. I really appreciate you taking the time to do these. Keep on trucking and don't look back. Throughout the years I have learned that there are a lot of people that go out of their way to throw a rock at you or a spoke in your wheel just because they can't do what you do. They'll shut up once they realize you're just better and they can't slow you down. I don't make a living from construction equipment but we have a farm and I use them extensively on the farm. One more, I agree with what you guys have said about the Takeuchi. I have an SVL95 and I’ve been lucky no trouble at just north of a 1000hrs but I don’t run a mulched on it either. Previously owned a CAT and it was a huge bottomless money pit (along with every CAT compact machine I have ever owned). I wanted the Tak but couldn’t get the dealer in my area to return my call and ended up with the SVL95. I liked the fit and finish of the Tak better particularly in the cab the layout is way better. I will say for my purposes and at the price point I have been more than satisfied with my SVL95 and KX057. The Kx057 has about a 1000hrs and outside of servicing neither machine has ever had a wrench on them. Ohh I did have to replace the chinchy camera the dealer installed in the SVL95 and that’s another advantage to the integrated one on the Takeuchi no stupid ram mount monitor in the way. I would recommend the Kubota machines to anyone doing work outside of mulching and would probably be fine intermittently with a head but the Takeuchi is better designed for that purpose. In my area you can pick up the Kubota stuff at a little lower price point but in my opinion the advantages of the Takeuchi justify the price difference (the cabs alone). I am impressed with the land pride built Kubota branded attachments, I have the 3 point hitch adapter, RP30 ripper and the 84” land leveler Kubota branded attachments and they are built as heavy as any attachments I’ve ever seen and have good quality paint too for anyone ever looking at attachments the stuff is priced competitively and built extremely well. Anyone who’s being truly honest who pays 40k more for a cat 299 over either of these CTL’s must really be a fan boy, the cab size, door design and honestly the performance leave a lot to be desired. I am not sure if the torsion suspension of a cat is really worth 40k to someone but it might be I guess, I don’t miss it at all but I do enjoy picking up 2 16’ crane mats at a time and unloading 6” pumps off of high flat trailers that a 299 wont even think about. A lot of the merits that came with CAT just aren’t there anymore in my opinion, dealers everywhere that’s true but I was told Monday that the ac compressor for the 330 (1400HRS) is 93 days out, 93 days...it was sitting out there with the belt burned off until 5 days later until it was finally swapped with a 326. All I’m saying is compare the 299 to the TAk or Kubota, look at the fact its the same engine then compare comfort, lift arms, cylinder size, weld quality and gusset size / quantity along with the actual linear measurement of welds on the 3 machines and show me where that extra 40k is? I used to argue for the CAT R&D and anyone who has ever visited Peoria and sat in the developing exhibits will probably admit they spend more developing a 320 seat than Deere or Case does globally on the entire product line but its just not there on the CTLs anymore. Last quote I ever got on a 299 was for the full forestry package with the steel tracks, coolers all the jazz was $121,000. 121k will get you your choice of a TAK12 or an SVL95, a mulching head of your choice and a few bucks left over to throw at a high flow brushhog....just saying

I own both Takeuchi mini (TB 235) and skid steer (TL 10). Absolutely amazing machines. Both have 2500+ hours and are running strong.

Takeuchi plus fake Southern accent = “Taka-hoochie.” Love it.
I feel like I’m 12 months behind all of y’all’s equipment moves.
Just now dealing with a broken Bota, and finding a Take.
