'If Day' Canada conducts mock wartime Nazi Invasion in 1942

This week marks the anniversary of “If Day,” the stunning 1942 event in which Canadians simulated a full-blown Nazi invasion of Winnipeg. Spearheaded by prominent businessman, J.D. Perrin, the elaborate stunt was planned to encourage the purchase of Victory Bonds. No stone was left unturned in the mock Nazi occupation of Winnipeg, which was renamed Himmlerstadt for the day. The day's events included an inspection by 'Nazi' soldiers (main), the replacement of the Union Jack with a swastika flag (top right), and the harassment of civilians by the 'Nazi' soldiers (bottom right). The day's edition of the Winnipeg Tribune - which had warned previously that the mock invasion was happening, though some residents remained unaware - was replaced by a German propaganda newspaper (inset)

😂 flash forward to October 2023 and they are saluting and honouring Nazis in Parliament 🇨🇦 definitely did NAZI that coming, but now that I’ve discovered that this happen…all this preparation and resources went into this …it’s staged superbly if this is the case. Were these people paid to be in this ? Those children volunteered. People dragged off buses?? It’s a wild publicity stunt …I feel like if u look u can see a lot of parallels to the events that actually took place in just the past three years here in Canada. Pastors arrested. Businesses seized. Jobs taken. Dogmatic approach. Curfews. All that actually did happen. They did salute nazis. They do know about many more Nazis. These facts have been known for a very long time and deep down inside we have enough to see that they won this whole time. Stupid us for believing the propaganda…just so many things that don’t add up here ! Hard to find in depth information about it.
