The pedal is too little too late. There are a hundred choices for having a ts wannabe. Many are easily equal to this and even cheaper. Other are the same but add very, 'usable extras'. Most are disguised by giving them a pretentious name but pop off the bottom plate and they are using the ts topography. Add an EQ and a a choice of clipping diodes and you get to boast you re-invented the wheel. I find what I heard from the L&L bass as totally unusable. Take that away and you have a TS9. A pricy TS9. Some of the most recent made in China sell you a TS9 for $30. The parts in a TS 9 are simply not pricy even if you buy the exact brand name on them so Caline and Movall dues not clone ...they duplicate. LsL should dump there clones and stick with pedals like their Vital DS. It is noticeably both excellent and with an identifiable voice of its own. No one needs another wannabe clone of anything that has not already been on offer from at least a dozen others. The Vital gives the company a high profile ...the clones cheapen their image.
Just bought the Keeley Noble Screamer...does the TS9 and Nobels ODR-1 in one pedal....plus some switches to grab a few other tones. I use it in my studio doing demos because it's accurate and fast to tweak. On my pedalboard I have the Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtanium (Shawn has covered that one) and it's my go-to along with my Twimble Simble I found on eBay a few years back. The one pedal from LsL I may try is the Vital DS since it's more fuzzy than these ODs. As for China....I won't spend my money there...ever...personal choice....just too many good options out there and I'm not that tight on ducats.
