  • Many people don’t know that the first preaching of Christianity in China pre-dated the Jesuits by more than nine centuries. We’ll take a second cursory look at the Jesuits as part of a bigger story that includes Christianity in China during the Tang and Yuan dynasties. We’ll see that prior to the arrival of Matteo Ricci, there were two other lesser known attempts to grow Christianity in China.
In this episode the voice of CHP guides us through the history of early Christianity in ancient China, its triumphs, downfalls, struggles and achievements. We many who embrace it and those who rejected and sought to crush it. From acceptance to resistance this is the story of one of the greatest religions in history in one of the greatest nations in history!

Buddha wasn’t Chinese, either, and his followers were ill-treated too until Empress Wu: Buddhism, Christianity and Islam were “the three foreign religions”.
Nestorian Christianity took root in Fuzhou during the Tang Dynasty, where Marco Polo found them still practising.
Fuzhou was the hometown of the largest number of top Chinese scholars throughout the Ming and Qing dynasties.
In fact, the leading family of Fuzhou (descendants of the ancient Marquis of Min) are still Christian. Sinologists will recall the name of one member of this family: Commissioner Lin.

You are mistaken in your representation. China was before Christianity itself. They believed in 1 God the same God of the Bible before those of Europe or Middle East by about 2500 years. Be careful how you erroneously represent the "Good News", lest you be an agent of darkness.

    Great video
Yes my ppl the Assyrians evangelized the whole east with genuine love for their converts and most importantly Jesus Christ.
Western rome infiltrated the Assyrian church of the east because of its dominance in the leader of all the apostolic churches for 800 years evangelizing the world while Western Rome was clearly doing this because the Persians were their enemy while the blood of the Assyrian church martyrs and saints were shed for the church of Jesus Christ while rome just philosophy away acting self righteous like the Pharisees.
    We walk the walk.
The west go 1000 yrs later under the guise of evangelism and conquer with the papa getting hand picked from the emperor to do the devils work.
The real Christianity through the APOSTLES the church still follows 2day.
But the western and Byzantine falsely accuse the Assyrian church of heresy which was a lie from their father devil to further destruct the church which ended up splitting in factions till 2day

That is a noble ambition, and I believe is what Christians (disciples of Jesus), are meant to do; overcome the self (the human nature) in order to have the nature of God.
That is what it means 'To be born again'.
John 3:3 Jesus speaking "I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is BORN again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God."
Verse 5; "What is born of (from) the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit."
