Actuator costs about $50. Labor to install about $1,500.
Have to remove seats, console and half the dashboard.
    A better idea from Ford.

So the car is basically built around the actuator. 🤔😂

Nearly all actuators are labor intensive to replace. No matter what brand.

Original and 4 replacements on a 2015-F250. Love the extended warranty.
Sold it and bought a 1977-F250 - much simpler.

I had too put one in a newer Ford Fusion it was the one behind the cluster, ohhhhh it was a pain getting it out and back in. Swivel sockets and extensions and me bending completely in half saved my ass that day lol 😂

My buddy’s had to replace that actuator motor 3 times in his Fiesta ST despite using an OE motorcraft part each time lol. The plastic teeth on the gear wear out or break off.

I have a 2995 ford Escape. We only get hot air in the cabin. I think my issue is the blend door. But I think it is just behind the temp selection knob, because it feels different, disconnected.
Is the a mechanical connection behind the kind? I doubt it is like the current cars. Is it certain I have this servo motor moving the damper?
What happens if there it a writing pen or mouse skeleton blocking the damper from moving into place?

Can you do a video about how to install this part? I've replaced 4 of them on my wife's 14' explorer. Is there a trick to properly "clocking" the gears or something?

Ford actually has a modular design on there dash and HVAC boxes, not a bad design since you can pull the whole thing as a unit, try doing a GM....one piece at a time... takes forever.
