- First person GoPro helmet cam combat footage released by Ukrainian soldiers from the 3rd Seperate Assault Brigade shows a group of Ukrainian soldiers in urban combat with Russian forces in Bakhmut.
The men were holding their position in a house and engaged Russian positions loacated in several other houses with small arms fire and shoulder fired rocket launchers.
Intrestingly it seems the soldiers reinforced the windows of the house with bricks in order to be better protected from incoming small arms fire.
This video already circulated on the web before and as just today picked up by the official channels of the 3rd Seperate Assault Brigade and also channels of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense so this can be seen as a public press release.

@alfredoelias4760 hell let loose is still a great game and worth buying (upcoming summer sale) .. the recent update everyone is complaining about added some desert maps and british army that kinda change the pace a bit but still whole lot of fun imho

@alfredoelias4760 definitely it's worth to check out, but personally after 600h in HLL and 350h in SQUAD I would pick up squad any time, especially with Devs recent huge upcoming update revamping infantry movement and gun play to one of the most realistic in video games bracket
you can’t think about dying. if you die well then it happens nothing you can do about it after the fact. it’s the adrenaline that keeps you pumping and wanting that combat POV. respect to all those fighting there both sides cause it’s fatality’s on both ends

Those ARs/LMGs with Western tech (EOTech etc.) attachments seem to be expensive, though. I almost always see them firing with suppressed guns. The playing field might be disadvantageous for the Ukranians in terms of quantities, but the quality is discriminatively better. I don't think we have seen this kind of war in the last century, the dynamics of it is something else.

as an armchair general, I don't get why are they so close to windows, what's the point of the random skrimish if it does not bring any tactical value. Just a waste of ammunition. I would understand it if there was an assault team and that's why they suppressed the frontal side. Then again, I don't know. Shooting out of the building and then being close to the windws is a risky move in my arm chair general opinion
Agreed. I hope there was a point to all that. Covering movement maybe. But I didn’t see any real sense of urgency or awareness that covering moment requires. Bunched up in an elevated position in range of enemy artillery. Didn’t seem right. One moderately placed explosive round would have been the end of that.

they probably don't care about those in the first place(or worse, not any more after prolonged battle missions). without precision shooters, you can rarely hit an enemy over 500m away, so naturally window frame as a support for a heavy rifle is preferred(also a piece of thought from an armchair general)

I think someone called out on the second shot. For the first shot though I agree, for the folks who don't seem to realize how spatial awareness works, you could easily find yourself behind that shot in a combat zone because you aren't watching your buddies, you're watching the guys trying to kill you, not to mention it was a separate room. Someone walks in at the wrong time and they'll get a face full of bad times.
@@user-zh6sh8qv9kif you look at the video before that guy fired the launcher,the rest of his team already step aside for incoming backblast,so there's no need to tell them anymore,and judging by the intensity of the combat,its mostly quiet apart from the artillery fire,so the rest of his team are not occupied with anything other than delivering sporadic fire,so these guys is pretty much aware of their surrounding

As a nobody arm chair warrior with none of their bravery-though I am a veteran-I just had a small thought. Surely after firing a rocket launcher from one window, you would not want to then use the exact same window to fire your machine gun from. Given that window was just exposed by a huge muzzle flash of sorts.
It’s like, the most likely point that any return fire would be aimed at… again, minor thought.

Another Armchair general here; no insult intended but the videos I've seen from the Ukrainians shows an utter lack of NATO-standardized training. I thought they've been trained by us? A few comments beneath me seems to be correct in pointing out what they're doing wrong. But I would kindly advise anyone reading this to never use heavy arms in such small confines; that's a recipe for TBI. Also don't stick the barrel of your gun outside of the window - it screams your position away. Furthermore, if you're ever in your enemy's field of fire, for god's sake do not stand upright infront of the windows or show anything resembling a silhouette.
