  • In this clip we show how the Jadus SR250 Ignition Timing Advance Kit is installed.
Read all about the kit here: www.jadusmotorcycleparts.com/...
And the development of our performance parts in general here: www.jadusmotorcycleparts.com/...
It is a relatively simple affair but if you have any questions, please feel to get in touch with us.

Hey, thinking about installing this part, and numerous others from Jadus but I'm having trouble finding the year of my imported sr250. The frame and engine numbers match and the prefix is 3Y9. Can you please help me to identify the year? I suspect between 1980-84 but I'm not sure . Thanks in advance and thanks for the instructional video content.

It more depends where in the world you are for which type of bike you have. All Japanese built bikes are the same, it is only the Spanish built bikes that differ. You can read a bit about that here: www.bikebound.com/2020/05/18/yamaha-sr250/

Couldn't you please make and sell a kit for later engines with different support system?. Thanks.

Funny you ask! We just made a prototype for a kit. We will test it and hopefully sell it in a month or so :)

@@JadusMotorcycleParts Hi. Now I see that it seems that you have it ;). I have a Yamaha SR250 Special from 1995 and your former kit wouldn't fit. Which kit should I buy?. Thanks

@@FernandoelChachi Hey man, you will need to purchase the kit for the 1985+ model bikes. We will be releasing an installation video for that kit soon, along with a comparison in the differences between the two versions.

@@JadusMotorcycleParts Thans bro. I'm expecting for that video and the comparison ;). BTW, Today I'm installing a kickstart and new clutch pads and springs and metal plates. I've also made a change in the carter plug, glueing a magnet (three, one over another) in the bottom

    Is the performance increase significant?

If your engine is fresh, a little, if your engine is worn, a decent amount.
