    I have been throwing the aerobie pro for years and did not even realize how cool the orbiter can be. I will be getting one ASAP and hope I can learn it as good as you do, thanks for the video!

      Thanks, but it's a bit funny, the aerobi Orbiter is one of the worst boomerangs in my collection, but if the tuning is right and you've found the rightthrowing technique, it has a nice flight and is fun to throw. But for me he remains the most frustrating boomerang 😖 but the one with the yellow color is clearly visible on the video 🤣

      Make sure your boomerang is not warped.
      Let someone make a video of your throw and the flight of the boomerang, maybe we can see what is wrong.
      Remember these things have impact on the flight
      1 the boomerang
      2 the wind force
      3 throw detection, angle to the wind
      4 throw force
      5 spin
      6 throw angle - up, down, straight forward
      7 layover - angle of the boomerang it self
      Every boomerang has its own sweet point.
      The Aerobie is not that forgiving, throw not to hard, a lot of layover (about 2 a clock), aim at the ground at a far distance and give it a nice spin

    • @klungelair
      @klungelair  Před 2 lety +1

      You can learn it in 30 minutes if someone tell you how to do it, what you are doing wrong etc...
      On youre own it is more difficult.
      How we think we throw and how we actualy throw can be a world of difference 😉
      You have to find the sweet point,
      The power, the hight, the boomerang angle, the angle in to the wind, the spin..... this al has to be right and you must be able to repeat it. There is some wiggel room for al these parameters but the Orbiter is not that forgiving.
      Praktish for a few weeks 2 times a week until your throw is almost automatic. Find moments with low or no wind, in the evening is mostly a good time, of is where I live

  • @SmashCrunch
    @SmashCrunch Před 2 lety +2

    Your throw turns around so quick. My throws do a 40 yard circle and sputter out 15% short of a full return. It seems like your throw stays inside a 30 yard circle. Your boomerang also seems more vertical in the air than mine but when I throw that vertical it hits the ground early (40-50% around) in a bouncing-roll.

    • @klungelair
      @klungelair  Před 2 lety +3

      Do not throw to vertical, It will indeed hit the ground and roll further. Never thougt a triangle could roll that good 🤔
      I think I got a flight about 30m (34 yards).
      Bend the wings up (positive dihadral) to give the boomerang more lift => flight becomes a bit shorter, higher and easyer full return.
      Because the boomerang is so flexibel you can bend the wings a lot to get just a little bit positive dihadral

    Great tosses! Can you throw the aerobie left handed?

    • @klungelair
      @klungelair  Před rokem

      yes it is possible but it is more difficult. If I'm right, the aerobi is also available as a left-handed one, which is the ideal solution. If you already have a right-hander and you want to throw it with your left hand, it is best to hang diagonally to the right and throw it over your head. The boomerang should be slanted like this => / maybe even more because in my experience the aerobi needs quite a lot of layover.
      Hopefully it is somewhat clear what I mean

    • @klungelair
      @klungelair  Před rokem +1

      I am convinced that the Ring is a good choice, but the Aerobi Orbiter is not the best boomerang. There are better boomerangs to be found, which are easier to throw, fly more stable even on windy days and which give you less frustration. I actually never use it myself, I only brought it up for this video. If you master your throwing techniques well, you can do something with it, but chances are that you have to constantly tune it. Its flexibility makes it more difficult to control

      @klungelair  Před rokem

      @@jocargua check that it is not deformed. Only throw when there is little or no wind, in the morning or evening you have a better chance. Bend the wings up a bit, this will give the boomerang more positive dihadral, making it easier to keep the boomerang in the air. The Aerobie Orbiter can be thrown with a lot of layover. Don't throw it up, but straight ahead, possibly down a little, aim for the ground at a far distance

    • @klungelair
      @klungelair  Před 7 měsíci

      it is indeed a very frustrating boomerang. Once you have found the right throwing technique, it has a nice flight. You have to be sure that it is not deformed, I first bend it up, throw it with a fair amount of layover and throw it down, aiming at the ground from a distance of 60 meters. This is also my least favorite boomerang

      It's because in 2017 aerobie sold the production rights of their products to another company (spin master) before then, all aerobie products were made in USA. Since 2017 it's all made in China. Product looks identical at first sight but performance is really bad. Original made in USA orbiter is best boomerang ever. The chinese orbiters look the same but they really suck.

  • @maxabstrax
    @maxabstrax Před 2 měsíci

    Is yours the real one made in the USA? I read a review where the guy says these are now made in China and do NOT have the same quality with poor flight. I have the one from China and I cannot make it fly in a circle. The best I can do is get it to go 2/3 the way around and then it flattens out and drops 50 feet from me.

    What should I do if i am left handed?

    • @klungelair
      @klungelair  Před 2 lety

      Best is to find lefthanded boomerangs. Orbiter, spinracer, skyblader, and a few other boomerangs are available for lefthanded throwers. You can find also handmade lefties. Some lefthanded people throw righthanded boomerangs, you have to throw them over your head to find the right angle to throw, it is a bit harder but it is possible

      I'm trying to get everyone to understand that the aerobi Orbiter is one of the most frustrating boomerangs. If you reach 300° after 20 throws you're not bad and you're probably doing something right 😉. You have to throw this boomerang very precisely, it has little margin of error. Remember that every boomerang is unique, if it is slightly more curved it will have to be thrown differently. This model may be slightly bent upwards (positive dihadral), mine I always bend upwards. A friend also had one but I had to bend it down strongly to have a successful flight. If you throw too high or if it is bent up too far, it will tumble down 2/3 of the way into the flight. This also happens if you throw with too much layover. If you throw with too little layover, he will go almost straight or he will take a turn between 180° and 300° and then roll a few meters further. Possibly make a video of a number of throws so that we can see the throw and the flight, then maybe we can deduce what is wrong.
