The orbiter gets the least amount of play time in my collection but gives me the most amount of exercise as I'm always running around chasing it. Definitely not a beginner boomerang in my opinion.
Oh no!!. What I guess it happened, to fly that high, is that the throw was more horizontal than vertical, in that case, it's very unpredictable. Also, this boomerang is VERY light so even in a big field, if not thrown very accurately or modifying it first with flaps or rubber bands, it can go out of the planned course very easily and get lost... If you are in Canada, I recommend you trying the triangle boomerang they sell on Canadian Tire. it way more forgiving to winds than this one. Also, check more videos about tuning and mods, like rubber bands or flaps, that helps a lot. Don't forget always to try throwing vertically, then you can increase the layover until you get the desired effect. If done the opposite way, it can break, hurt someone or get lost!. I think I got three of these at various points when I was a kid. It always got stuck in a tree before long.
