- Today Haike is with me for 6 years! Time flies when you're having fun. I'm so grateful for this amazing horse!! She truly is one in a million!!
"Hopefully, at least once in every equestrian's life, they come across a very special horse. Now this horse isn't always the most broke, or the most talented, or the most beautiful. It's something quite unexplainable actually. It's the horse that brings out the best in you; in the ring & out. The horse that not only teaches you to be a better rider, but a better person. That horse tends to love you before you love yourself; sees something valuable in you, some redeeming quality that you just don't see. If you are lucky enough to come across that horse early in your life, never let it go.

Love horses and like elephants they are majestic. Wanted one all my life. Saw the Clydesdales Saturday and tears of joy filled my eyes. Never thought I would ever see them.

Beautiful. Some would say your so lucky but your energy is great and you bring out the best in your horse as he brings out the best in you.
Mine was Shiloh, of course a sorrel with a blaze, not too big, great size for bareback. Loving with everybody and thing. Morgan quarterhorse cross, what a great cross. Loved me for thirty years. Yes, I was so very lucky to see that sweet face everyday. He made me into a sensitive, confident rider, if there is a heaven he is waiting. Thanks for giving honor to the best boys and mares.

I had my one in a million horse from the time i was a 7 year old little girl until i was 41 years old when I finally put him down at 34. Yes...a one in a million life story. I grew up and old with that same horse. Rest in peace my friend.

kawaii eleimaylove Thank you!! I could, but I think almost every horse is right. You just have to take time to get to know each other. It took me years with Haike before I knew everything about her, every reaction, every emotion, when she's happy or not etc. I really liked her years ago but it took me a while to actually connect. I still believe sometimes horse and human don't match but I think you are smart enough to feel it when you don't. Before you buy a horse, make sure you've watched several different horses, you'll automatically be more attracted to the one with who you'll connect the most. The real bond will come later, it takes time! I really hope you'll find your soulmate :)

I had a horse like that. She would whinny and run to me. She followed me around when I cleaned her paddock. On Sunday night October 30, 2011 she was fine. Sometime during the night she began to colic, and by the time we discovered her, in the morning, and called the vet it was too late. She twisted a bowl and was in horrible pain. By the time the vet got there, all he could do was put her down. I still miss her and have been unable to face getting another horse. 😞 😞 😞
Considering that your life was structured in part around this wonderful animal, please consider getting another one! You may have to search both outside and in yourself to find your next treasure, but he or she is out there. There are many horses out there and it would be such a waste, considering what you learned and the love and work you regularly gave for her. I enjoy the fact they can live twice as long as a dog. I'm looking forward to my next horse and it could happen as soon as next year after my next move. Also, don't dwell on Halloween for awful memories. Continue celebrating what she meant to you, even if you choose not to care for another horse. Remember too, time is against all of us! While you are still able and capable, you can at least consider another horse that shows a shine to 'ya! I'll pray for no less. Seriously! Amber I was very touched by your story, when god made animals he should have stopped right there because I think it is the only thing he got right when he made man that is when evil came into the world. Animals are nothing but love and joy, I have a female Pit Bull named Shyann she is my heart and sould and she sleeps under the covers right next to me every night she is my only child lol.

i have a story so at the barn that i go to there is this horse named sunny and people are like of he likes to bit oh you should not ride and on and on but when i first met sunny he was just so fantastic like he LOVED being pet and loved being given food and i love doing that tipe of stuf like feeding him peting him brushing him and yeah thats my story

I have found that horse twice my first horse called tuppy he was on loan to me he was everthing I ever dreamed of he got tacken away I gave up all my hope and thought I would never find a horse as good as him I didn't find a horse wich was like him I found one wich needed me despertly needed a new home her stable was horrible where she lived was horrible i rode her about a couple of meters and that was that i knew she was the one her name was rosie she did not move when you rode her pulled you every where after time
She has changed she now loves bieng ridden espically jumping I have had her for a year now and my mum said the other day you will have to get rid of her when you out grow her I said no because I'm not letting her go even after i have out grown her and got a new pony I will take her with me on rides by leading her no man left behind and my mum agreed

So cute I have a horse that I’ve had for 5 years she’s very friendly and we can trust her now we sing to her and ride her we give her lots of love a bit to much love that she is to fat we love her we got a new horse we’re going to keep and that’s her new buddy her name is bidge his Freind is called busy they gave lots of fun together she’s a family but mostly Pip mum and I ride him not my step dad he doesn’t ride him we’re going on trail riding next year I can’t wait when we go trail riding it’s going to be so much fun for now we need to teach her even more so she noes every thing and will be really smart like a Dolphin our place is like a little farm we have lots of animals and lives on 10 Akers we uste to have a 100 akes

I agree that your friendship with your horse is beautiful, but if your REALLY loved your horse you would NOT ride it. Look up "Is horse riding cruel" and you will discover that there is an incredible amount of scientific evidence that riding horses harms them more than people ever knew. X-rays of hundreds of horses prove this. A horse's spine -- which is where the saddle and rider sit - controls their entire nervous system that communicates their sense of smell, taste, vision, hearing and vestibular function to the brain, so if you SIT on on their spine you are sitting on the 'brain' of their back. A horse's back is not a seat for a human butt, any more than a dog's back is. A horse's spine is a very delicate and tender part of their anatomy. Medical investigations also prove there is damage done to a horse's skeletal structure after even just ONE YEAR of riding. So why not love your horse for being himself/herself without riding it, instead of for YOUR personal pleasure of riding. No matter what you think, there is proof that it pains a horse to be ridden on any sort of regular basis. Your horse will love you MORE if you just walk with him and not use him as your entertainment or your transportation. That is servitude, and horses should never have become human's servants. The history of mankind is carried on the back of a horse, but the needless PAIN of their present day servitude is still felt in their hearts and minds and bodies.
