I fell in love with Seille during my internship at her breeder back in 2012. Unfortunatly she was sold while I was on summer vacation with my family, so I never had the chance to say goodbye. I knew she was for sale and I really wanted to buy her but she was too expensive for me at the time. I was so sad because she really became my dreamhorse. I just loved everything about her and she helped me emotionally in a time where I was struggling. After a while I really wanted to know where she was and if she was okay. My mom found her thanks to a facebook group for frisian owners and made an appointment with the new owners. She took me there to surprise me and I was SO happy! This video is about our reunion.
Update:
Two years after this video the owners asked me if I wanted to buy her. OFCOURSE!! I was saving money from the day I've lost her in case that I ever got the chance to buy her. Thanks to my dear friend Diënthy who drove for 5 hours with me that day, we brought Seille home! This horse will stay with me forever!

This is amazing! I keep watching videos of people being reuntied with their horses because I'm going up to see my old pony in 2 weeks and I'm so excited but a bit scared incase he doesn't recognise me because its been 3/4 years

This brought tears . . . . your mare looks so much like my favorite-forever 'boss man' who
meant so much to me. I can never replace him. We had such fun times and I still miss him.
He aged very well, the vet said he knew him from a colt, and that he was nearly 50 !!! But
he looked like a colt, sleek, trim and ready to go, and tons of energy. Enjoy her. Thank you.

She’s absolutely stunning! You sit the trot very well bareback! It’s obvious you make a good team. Maybe you should start saving and, if her current owners decide to sell her, you could buy her and keep her forever. I know that would be a dream come true for both of you!

I feel exactly the same about Che, SSH, who is retired now in the mountains and enjoying it together with a herd of foals and mares. He likes to think he is the legitimate father, but the mares know better...

I'm happy that you were reunited. You never said how or why you were separated. My last, that looked for, for years, that I finally found, was denied to me. The person who had him was selling him & didn't care that he had been stolen from me years earlier, neither did the police nor the ASB registry. I'll always miss him terribly.

No I hope I will one day. I have loved them since I was a little girl and it is a dream of mine. But honestly I wouldn't even know how to take care of one. Maybe I will make a friend one day that lives in my area that has a horse they don't mind if I ride every once in a while. You have the dream and enjoy every minute of it!
I hope this is more than just a reunion/visit, but that you two will be together for the rest of her life.

❤️Outlive your beautiful bond at its best! I am Dutch too but left NL at the age of 10 to travel the world with my parents (and still do so on my own at the age of over 50). Never returned to my home country but we also had horses. I loved long day trips on a Friesian, it feels like if their hooves land on pillows or even clouds.
My grandmother recently passed away at the age of 106 years. She grew up on a huge family estate in NL. Her heart belonged to a Friesian working horse, she talked about him all her life. Women/girls normally didn't enter the stable nor spend time outside until around 1920. My very kind great-grandfather didn't mind as she was the only child and her mother had passed early. She wasn't allowed to clean, cook or whatever, also home schooled. Actually wait for a suitable husband to get married to... Some wish for such a life but should keep in mind that it is very boring. Days are very long. She taught herself a lot of knowledge incl. several languages.

what a magnificent animal. This is very nice :) I was forced to sell my horse. I had to ride her to the new owners place and put her in their pasture. She went wild when I walked away, calling for me and running back and forth. it broke my heart. I had to move away. I returned for a visit a year later, she came running to me. But I couldn't afford to buy her back. Its been many years. Still think of her, miss her. I'm happy for you.
Ahw you can tell she loves you. That decision must have been really hard... Respect... I hope you'll be able to afford her again one day!

This made me smile , iam also so jealous your baby is a Friesian , my dream horse, still hoping at 48yrs old il get my own Friesan before I can't ride anymore , fingers & toes crossed, meanwhile I ride my daughters cheeky temperamental and quirky cob, who when a new mare comes he struts like a Friesan for like 10 mins gets bored and walks off, enjoy your wonderful horse x
