Totally love this match up , big character malty differences!! The GlenCadam will win me over, but for science I will be doing this very head to head tonight!! Cheers Mark and great review and match up!!🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃

I have had both of these whiskies, albeit four or five years apart. I loved the Glencadam 15 immediately on the first sip, and was thrilled to the last drops. All of the subtlties and all of the complexities were in the right places for me. I agreed with Ralfy when he named it his whisky of the year, although I don't slways agree with him on everything... I would definitely buy it again if I could find a bottle... The Cadboll Estate Glenmorangie was a different animal. It was very fruity and not much else. There was nothing there to balance the light and vague fruits for me. I guess it's just not my preferred style of whisky.

Awesome comments FQ - I think I’d buy the Glencadam again any day, but the Glenmo 15, hopefully I can taste the next batch first…and then grab it on sale from a AB store haha.
      Cheers Matey🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃

Great comparison again. I have not had either but good to know the Cadboll is indeed very good. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!

When they’re on sale in AB they’re even more attractive! Cheers Jon🥃🥃🥃🥃

Mark, good comparative reviews. Have only had the Glencadam 10 and love that fresh, clean taste. That and Springbank are my 2 favorite 10s. Will need to look for this Glencadam 15 year. CHEERS!

Thanks DJ Beacon! I do need to revisit SB 10 since my re review maybe 4 years back.
PS after this series Glencadam 10 vs another 10 yo review coming!
      Cheers my friend🥃🥃🥃🥃

Hi mark how are you doin’
Quite busy. Private and at work. We did plan to go Scotland too. Early September.
Talkin whisky. Both whisky’s are fenomenal. With excellent expressions. Very hard to tell who’s best. Did some fantastic purchases lately. More like foreign ones. From France, Denmark and even Iceland. Lots to discover. Cheers

All well here and great to hear from you. Jealous of your planned Scotland trip! So true, these are neck and neck.
The world is full of great whiskies and spirits! Prices of Scotch whisky will push me to shift purchases and content to other spirits more than usual. Cheers my friend🥃🥃🥃🥃

@@WhiskyWhistle cant wait to go. We start in Edinburgh for a few days and we spend a day in Glasgow before our most important part of our trip. Islay. Visiting a couple distilleries there. And enjoying the fresh air en surroundings. Have you ever been to Scotland?

For those that don't know... it might benefit you to explain what you mean by astringent. When I hear the word astringent I'm thinking of a particularly sharp and unwelcome flavor. --- Also, I would consider rethinking or deliberating on your scores. In this instance, a 91 versus a 90 doesn't really make sense to me. If you had 91 grains of sand and you removed 1...would you notice the difference? Whereas, if you had 10 rocks or 9 rocks and you removed one, you'd know the difference. If you had 5 rocks and you remove 1, you'd know the difference. If you have 2 sand castles... one with 91 grains of sand and one with 90...would you know the difference? ---- What I'm getting at is that the review appears to favor the Glencadam... definitely more than 1 point. I'm not saying to trash the Glenmorangie... but I would think that to recommend one over the other either the difference should be greater or if the razor's edge is that thin, why the one over the other. ---------You did make a very good point about the complexity both before water and certainly after... maybe that is the one over the other tipping point.

since you say you're a Glenmorangie nut, I'd love to know what your thoughts are on the Signet, particularly as of late if you've tried it. It's currently on sale for $199 at Craft cellars!

I’ll see if I can borrow some Glenlivet and Glenfiddich 15. I have a bottle of Fiddich 14 which is going to be embarrassing for them.
