Given that narcissism is so prevalent in these kind of characters, it would be interesting to hear your opinion on the presentation and possible associated diagnosis of a patient with a complete lack of narcissism. I realise this is likely an impossible scenario but given that the other extreme is such a popular topic it might simply provide perspective on some positives to the narcissistic trait at a “normal” level. Hello Dr Grande. Please assess the case of Henri Van Breda, South African man who was convicted of the murder of his Father, Mother & Brother and the attempted murder of his Sister.
He came from a very well respected and wealthy family. Also the murder occurred in a wealthy, private and secure area. He has also never admitted guilt despite overwhelming and incontrovertible evidence implicating him. Finally the sole survivor, his younger sister, claims to have no memory of the attack. Yes, he killed of his entire family. If he were a sadistic racist, it surely would have gotten out at the trial because no one in the family was left to scare or threaten anyone. In this case, the word 'bad' is not good enough to describe the constant torture chamber that was this man's childhood. One way to think about it is to recognize that a normally functioning adult who is abducted and tortured for an hour in a similar way to this child would probably need counselling and suffer post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety and panic attacks for the rest of their lives. The children in this family had no choice from birth and suffered this kind of behaviour daily.

The metaphysical view of mr. Kurten is that of a very young or beginner soul.( Every young soul's behavior may not be so extreme)
He had virtually no inner feeling or connection to his soul.
Ones soul may also be referred to as awareness , spirit , or "higher or highest frequency".
All soul are in continuous developement until completion.
Mr. Kurten will have a rough go of it for awhile as he reincarnates on the physical plane.
Outflow determines inflow, this could also be refered to as "what goes around comes around"
The energy you project must come back and be experienced.
Younger souls learn the hard way, older souls learn an easier or gentler way.( increasingly directed through intuition)
Mr. Kurten had no choise but to act the way he did,but will learn by attracting the " unpleasentness" he dished out.
"Choise" is commensurate with depth of awareness which is aquired over a very long cycle of incarnations.
We send him and the victims love. we are not the temporary egos that cause disruption but the spirit underneath that is revealed as completion nears.
This may sound strange after observing the video content but we dont take life too seriously. It's a game we all wanted to play and as we near the earth plane graduation , life as a free spirit becomes unimaginably beautiful and blissful.
No one from " up above" is judging or punishing us, higher beings only know or eminate spiritual love or pure empathy( they have no ego)
We simply have to follow energetic laws that constantly return experience that we engage in.
An example is gravity. Gravity does not judge or punish. It's an energetic law that operates automatically.
As mystic with direct experiential perception I know these concepts with certainty!( it's good to meditate!)

I would find it interesting if you would elaborate on empathy. You talk about lack of empathy but empathy can (as I'm sure you know - just want to be clear) be different things. To gain pleasure from somebody else's pain you have to have some kind of empathy. If you couldn't tell what the other person is feeling whether it'd be pain, fear, humiliation etc, then the satisfaction wouldn't be there. You have to know what pain, emotional as well as physical, feels like. Empathy doesn't necessarily mean that you feel bad about causing the pain, feeling sorry for the victim.

    • @erikparent8176
      @erikparent8176 Před 3 lety +1

Empathy in not emotion, it's a feeling knowing that is an emination of universal awareness.
(Its obscured in most while shifting within a spectrum)

Could you please do an analysis on King Henry the 8th? He’s a fascinating and frightening historical figure. What could make a man who changed England’s religion and set aside a Spanish Queen for a woman, only to later behead her? (And another wife?). Was he a sociopath? A narcissist? Was his behavior because of syphilis? Because of a head injury after a jousting accident? A combination of all? Henry was known to be extremely sentimental and poetic, having written many love letters as well as a song to Anne Boleyn. He was also very moody. His love could change to hate in a day. He had his most trusted and loyal advisor, Cromwell, executed. Cardinal Wolsey helped him break away from Rome, and helped him secure his annulment from Catherine of Aragón. In 1529 Wolsey was stripped of his government office and property, including his magnificently expanded residence of Hampton Court, and barely escaped the Tower and the Block. I’d like to know what you think could have been wrong with Henry the 8th.
And while we are at it how would have all of this drama and losing her mother to the executioners ax have shaped and molded Queen Elizabeth 1? How would that have made her into one of the most significant rulers in history?

    Anne Boleyn

I clicked on this video immediately because I always thought of this guy as one of the more fiendishly horrific serial killers, who took such a grotesque delight in his evil-doings, even against children. I remember reading him saying something like he wanted to kill everybody. Thanks for the narration. I think you actually kept the story prettier than it really was.

Another fascinating video, thank you Dr. Grande! A suggestion for a future video - it would be interesting to see your analysis of Diane Schuler, the woman who drove the wrong direction on the Taconic State Parkway for 1.7 miles in 2009 resulting in a car wreck that killed 8 people (including 4 children). She's the subject of the documentary "There's Something Wrong with Aunt Diane" which both fascinated and disturbed me for many reasons.

You know I am happy that after years of screaming for help that I am finally getting a psychologist again, but as a survivor of child sex abuse and a lot of violence both from both the law and the crime, watching these videos makes me happy that I never submitted to those impulses and urges, and that I stuck to smoking and dealing weed when it comes to the total selection of crimes I had the urges of committing. I still hate society, I despise people, tried to love them but they are just too self centered, ignorant and ungrateful. But I am glad I am broke, broken hearted and withdrawing from drugs instead of in the process of being a Wuornos copycat. I still have urges of violence, I wasn't born with them, they were beat and raped into me, but I never act on them.
I spend so much energy every single day keeping my impulses down, I switched from booze to weed for that reason. I never committed any acts of violence outside of self defense, however I can feel the pleasure and have to physically pull my fists and legs away, forcefully withdraw when they are neutralized/deterred, it scares me in my non-aroused state. Only reason why I spend that much energy despite finding 99% of humanity loathsome (you are in the 1% with my best friend and my psychologist, and certain veterans of very specific missions, from very specific divisions of the armed forces of my country) I still recognize that this human filth still feels pain, and that I would just be reproducing in a sense if I passed on the hurt I have been subjected to, I don't want to reproduce, I just want to die and go to hell for having all these dark thoughts, once the last vermin have stopped caring about me enough to send the fucking cops after me when they pick up on my suicidal signals. Nobody knows this, it feels worse to be closeted about this than it felt to be closeted about being lesbian, but I think I am more safe just being the periodically reclusive kinky redhead from the edge of the ganglands than the dormant, brooding Wuornos wannabe that hides inside of me.
Thanks for giving me so much insight and perspective on mental health, you saved my life, and potentially the lives of others, made me hold out long enough for actual physical, real life therapy, I know none of this is therapy, the closest this comes to is a form of "psychoeducation" (is this a word in english? IDK) but it doesnt make it less interesting and insightful :3

This seems to be overlooked by the press, which talks much more about any possible attendant mental illnesses, but the perpetrators all seem to have uncontrollable anger. I'm wondering if anger management classes for schoolkids might help prevent some of these tragedies.

The US Great Depression also triggered similar conditions in pre WW2 Germany.
Normal systems of law and order were overloaded and strained on many fronts and WW1 had previously decimated a large segment of the population.

His childhood, from birth, was likely a nightmare. In addition to his father's sadistic abuse, his mother was likely cold and neglectful. He probably, from the day he was born, never received any love or tenderness from his mother and was certainly a left to cry as an infant and developed detachment disorder. He was born an innocent baby, and was turned into a monster by his horrific childhood. Interestingly, plenty of people have had horrific childhoods but they did not grow up to be depraved sadistic murderers. Obviously, some children can't escape succumbing to the depravity heaped upon them, and they end up becoming someone like him....

I don’t even know the bastards name and I don’t want too. Sorry.
This case was far too close to home, being in my home town of Brisbane, Queensland Australia. Also after leaving my DV marriage of 20 years, my mothers words of warning being, “I fear he’s going to burn the house down with you and the kids in it.”
Made the horrific death of Hannah and her babies, so far more of a reality.
