  • 7 Signs of Zinc Deficiency and Foods to Cure it: bit.ly/2G9QOpE
Today I’m going to share with you the five warning signs that you’re zinc deficient. About 75% of people in the world are deficient, so being deficient in zinc is very common.
The 5 warning signs you’re zinc deficient:
1.) If you get sick a lot or have immune system issues
    2.) Have leaky gut (draxe.com/7-signs-symptoms-you...)
3.) If you struggle with diarrhea or IBS
    4.) Thinning hair
5.) Inflammatory skin issues like acne, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis
One of the biggest factors in causing zinc deficiency is high levels of emotional stress. The second most common cause of zinc deficiency is over-exercise. The third most common reason your zinc deficient is if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. Lastly, if you’re older, you may tend to have malabsorption, which causes a zinc deficiency.
In order to get more zinc in your diet, you need to consume more zinc-rich foods. The top 5 zinc-rich foods are pumpkin seeds, oysters, grass-fed beef, sprouted nuts and seeds, and peas. Additionally, probiotics are a key supplement to take when zinc deficient because it can help your overall absorption of nutrients.

I began taking a zinc supplement when Covid hit. After a lifetime(53 years) of dealing with bumpy skin on the front of my thighs and the back of my upper arms, my skin is totally smooth! A totally unexpected benefit. I only realized it was the reason for my suddenly smooth skin when I ran out of the zinc for a couple weeks and the rough skin came back. I will take it for the rest of my life.

Top zinc-rich foods (healthier sources first):
    1.) Pumpkin Seeds
    2.) Squash Seeds
    3.) Sesame Seeds
    4.) Flaxseeds
    5.) Chia Seeds
    6.) Spinach
    7.) Asparagus
    8.) Peas
    9.) Cashews
    10.) Mung Beans
    11.) Peanuts
12.) Mushrooms (shiitake, white, crimini, etc.)
    13.) Lentils
    14.) Garbanzo Beans
    15.) Quinoa
    16.) Toasted Wheat Germ
    17.) Oats
    18.) Tofu
    19.) Shrimp
    20.) Scallops
    21.) Oysters
    Yogurt (from Grass-Fed Cows)
    22.) Organic Turkey
    23.) Grass-Fed Beef
    24.) Grass-Fed Lamb
    25.) Cheese (from Grass-Fed Cows)
26.) Chocolate (probably the dark stuff)
Plus a LOT of other veggies. Veggies always have lots of good things in them. But, although the calorie-nutrient ratio is AMAZING for veggies, they don't really have a ton of calories. SO, it is probably unwise to rely mainly on veggies for your zinc... (Unless you eat like a spinach-crazed Popeye...)

I had a huge belief that I needed to up my Zinc, and didn't always keep up the copper and felt the affect, but didn't know it was from the lack of copper. Such as feeling cold, probably due to poor red blood cell production.🙂👍🏼

This is a blatant lie. Of course your body stores zinc, if it didn't you would not survive more than a few days because zinc is required in all your cells' genetic replication mechanisms. With that being said, due to the modern diet, many people become zinc deficient over long periods of time, such as months or years. So it is important to take supplements if you aren't regularly eating zinc-containing foods.

      @Lina-ok6zr Před 2 lety

I see you asked this 6 years ago but since others may have the same issue I'd like to recommend taking zinc on an empty stomach.
Either before bed (at least 2-3 hours after the last meal) or in the morning (at least half an hour before breakfast). Taking zinc with a meal or simply during the day can cause difficulty in absorption.
