I'm new to the Mormon, came from the NATIVE Christian religion. It has been very tough in the beginning. But WOW...what a spiritual eye opener. It's like a three-sum..Jews, Gentiles and the Olive tree: we are watered, nourished, corrected, by our heavenly Father, Son and Holy Ghost, when we obey we prosper and bear fruit. What a poetic spiritual thought. It could almost me a native parable, it is said “if you listen to your father you will go up to be like a strong tree” It was more than good for me. God Bless

Connie, this is brother Malcolm Stone. Your journey will be difficult. The Lord must purge you have the past and create in you a new heart. Be patient with yourself, with the Church and those who mean well with their advice. Stay in prayer, morning, noon and night. Do not think that one of us is larger than another, we are not, we are all on the same journey of being purged and sanctified. It takes time, but the Lord knows the way.

When I found you guys I had no idea what treasure I had found. Along with studying the doctrine and covenants I am I have been trying to study the book of Mormon on my own and found these most insightful and inspiring helpful videos from You brothers. I have never heard Jacob five explains so well as I have from this video. Maybe over the years my spirit and mind and heart are all being connected and perhaps that’s why I’m understanding in a different level. But whatever the reasoning I’m so grateful. I can’t thank you brothers enough. I feel like I am being educated at BYU education week every single day and every time I turn your video on. I feel a closer connection and understanding with my father in heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ and their love for me. And this has been a long journey with this connection to finally reaching a level of understanding and awareness. Thank you with all my heart for the work you do I am ever so grateful!

These videos are such a wonderful blend of spirit, academia, and pedagogy. What sets BOMC apart from most other series I've seen like this is the focus on personal application, which I absolutely love. This really is such a great resource for teachers, families, and anyone who is seeking to better understand what the Book of Mormon is and how it is comparable with the Bible and life's experiences. Inviting listeners to consider your videos as supplemental to Come Follow Me and their personal study of the Book of Mormon is much appreciated. Given both Tyler and Taylor's professional and academic background, it's refreshing to see two people from that background agree and support each other in a harmonized way. Even more, it's apparent that these two people, as well as all else who are part of BOMC, have paid the price to understand the scriptures more and better and then communicate them in an understandable and hopeful way. Thank you, BOMC!

Several years ago having a returned missionary opting out of the church, while reading the Book of Mormon I came across Jacob 5 and I was hit so hard in verse 54 that the branches of the mother tree were grafted into them and it just touched me so deeply that the mothers were used to save them. Then again when President Nelson counseled us as sisters to read the Book of Mormon and to look for Christ I received so much revelation when I came to Jacob 5. it really helped me to understand how much our prophets plead for us to be saved "spare it a little longer!" and especially that He hath nourished us this long time. And now with this reading I had so much revelation given to me in the past I told myself I likely would not receive anything new, literally holding my breath as I started, and by verse 7 I was again sobbing when I realized that the servant of the vineyard could also be Mothers saving their children. Then the whole chapter had a completely different meaning to me. So beautiful! It was such a beautiful experience seeing it on so many different levels each time I read it. This is without a doubt, my favorite scripture. I appreciate you two for your additional insight! Thank you so much!

This series of scriptural enrichment is outstanding! Thanks so much for doing this. I am especially impressed that as we are dealing with the current crisis, which has caused all of us to lose fellowship on a weekly basis, we are perhaps the best prepared church of all the Christian denominations to carry on with home study (Come, Follow Me) and a lay priesthood, able to provide sacramental service in our homes. I testify that our leadership is inspired and directed to have us so prepared. Note, the technology, which our leaders have told us, despite its inappropriate uses, is provided for the Lord's purposes now allows us ongoing contact with the Church, and with support like Book of Mormon Central. Thanks so much!

I know I have thought A LOT about the pandemic and what can "I" personally do to help, where do I lack that I might be made strong. " Look" for opportunities to become your better selves.

Thank you so much for this insight! As soon as you were talking about shallow tree roots, it's like a light went on in my head. I have these 3 trees on my property that have been doing poorly every year - getting too much water - and I haven't been able to figure out how to help them. I realized that if I dig around them and get rid of the shallow roots, it might just be what these trees need. So then I took the kids outside and shared with them this exact principle and talked about how the events of the last few days are similar. God is digging around our roots, teaching us to sink our roots deeper in the gospel and preparing us for what is to come.

1-The layout. The four different time periods that were covered in this chapter
2-Beautiful teaching about the ground not being good but the tree still producing fruit. Many people came to my mind who maybe didn't have best ground but have produced amazing fruit.
3-Always wondered why the Lord of the Vineyard says lets burn the unfruitful branches. It makes sense now that it's not his true feelings, but it's really an invitation for us to step up and join him in the work. What a privilege to be part of it. WALK WITH ME. Ok, I will.

2 To be sent greeting; not by commandment or constraint, but by revelation and the word of wisdom, showing forth the order and will of God in the temporal salvation of all saints in the last days-
5 That inasmuch as any man drinketh wine or strong drink among you, behold it is not good, neither meet in the sight of your Father, only in assembling yourselves together to offer up your sacraments before him.
17 Nevertheless, wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks, as also other grain.

I don't always know WHY I receive certain promptings, but I've learned to obey quickly and without question. The reason always manifests itself.

Thank you for all the hard work you both do in preparing this material for us. Enjoying all the points you make and thinking how merciful God is to each of us. Love the point about pointing a finger at someone else but having 3 fingers pointed at ourselves. The Lord gives us so many chances to change but do we give others a chance, are we patient with others. Good lesson.

I was most excited for this lesson...and you guys definitely did it justice! And yes, I'd like to assure you that you're doing an amazing job because I've been reading my scriptures more carefully than I did before so thank you guys for that! I also really appreciate that Tyler goes deeper into the meanings and origins of words because I usually keep a dictionary nearby when doing my scripture study...it really does add so much more context and meaning to what you're reading...
Btw...I'm glad to see that BOM Central took my advice and gave you guys a bigger board!!! You're welcome! Also I hope you both and your loved ones stay safe during this challenging time and hope you can continue in whatever way to keep delivering these lessons without compromising your own health and safety...

Spoiler Alert!! If this is the supplemental resource for what heaven is going to teach me, then I have been totally connected by it and am ready to dive in! You shared several priceless gems too - including "Raindrops of revelation" - "the garden should not be dictating to the gardener about what the gardener should be doing" - "I knew this was a poor spot of ground- you can be fruitful" - "Trust that I'm the gardener here" - "marrow, moisture" - "we are symbolically trees" - "digging a little deeper". As I have walked with you this morning and enjoyed the gardening lesson on pruning, digging, nourishing and grafting - I'm prepared to dive in and drink from the deep end, but boy, I am feeling refreshed and revitalised by the living waters. Thank you guys!
