- I get some Narrowboat alterations done to my Cratch cover by Stitchmilitz Rips and Zips adding windows to make the bow of the boat a lovely light room for Bonny to watch the world go by. I also take my old campervan to a festival - Unity Fest where I DJ a couple of sets and meet up friends. Bonny gets to spend time with big dogs and her socialising is improving every day!

It's been a struggle to keep these events happening here in the USA, politics and all. blegth. It was such an absolute true pleasure to be included in your Unity Fest. Thank you! I loved that! Brought back so many memories. I wish other folks could just enjoy the enjoyment, just enjoy people, human beings, having a good time. Aargh, and then again, it rains on everyone doesn't it? blegth. You are a good mud-rider Heidi, because you didn't make your wheels spin, which was the BIG mistake that most of the others made, as spinning wheels dig themselves in, if you take it slow, these risks are much reduced, so I say :"Well done my lady", it was good to see the lovely and clearly happy Bonny too.
Wonderful to see Bonny's progress and her wonderful life with you. Rescue dogs are the best!

Heidi, thank you for being the most consistent Narrow-boating channel on CZcams, whether it’s ‘fiddling with yer flaps’, or getting down with David in your back room, your easy unforced comedy and your honest and self stylised vlogs put you squarely on the top of my list. Some channels on here just whinge moan and seem to do nothing but complain? you just crack on. I’ve been on 8 years now, never looked back and quite honestly have never stressed once. It’s an incredible life, made even better once a week by the Narrowboat pirate. Great vlog …. Loved it!

On the canal boat Rum Wench, Pirate Heidi does her trips and quite often with her pals she scoffs their fish and chips. The new horse is there for cutting her logs and Bonnie's getting used to meeting big dogs. Her days away in her Symphony van, playing tunes at a festival as loud as she can. Back home on her boat she'd no breezy gaps, coz Melitza had been and stitched up her flaps. How rude. Xxx you do make us laugh girl, sending love, Liz and Dave xx

Hello Heidi I am late this week watching but I loved the video this week. YEAH Bonny - new Giant friend and no fussing about it. I think the money spent on a Dog trainer was a major good expenditure. Teared up a bit seeing Bonnie sit next to that beautiful German Shepherd!! My G. Shepherd would've been like that with Bonnie, she loved other dogs. I miss her everyday, she was 120 lbs. of gentle giant!!

Hi Heidi, love the vlogs, haven't quite caught up yet but have skipped ahead a bit to bring you this little ditty. There was a young boater all aloof, Who kept all her coal on the roof, It started to rain, she sheltered in vain, Now she's wetter than a mermaid's foof.

Another interesting vlog. I have a couple of suggestions for the campervan (I cannot remember her name). You might want to apply some 'Rain-X' to her windscreen. It is a water repellent, and it can greatly improve the visibility in poor weather. I have been using it for nearly 20 years now (on both my company van and my personal car). You might also consider heavy duty snow chains. They do provide good traction in the snow, and may work in muddy conditions (I have chains for both vehicles, again).
Bonny is doing brilliantly with other dogs. I think part of that is because you are a calming influence, and are providing her with a stable home life (even if home does not remain in the same place).

@@TheNarrowboatPirate I have found it is cheapest at Asda (around £5 a bottle, which should last a couple of years). The bottle is yellow with a black cap. You get the windscreen as clean as you can, and then you apply the Rain-X. Leave it until it goes hazy, and then polish it off. One coat should last for a few months (I usually apply a couple of coats). Because the water cannot stick to the glass the rain drops go consistently round. Depending on the rake of the windscreen the wind will blow the droplets off the windscreen.
There are advantages with Rain-X, but there are also a couple of disadvantages. The obvious advantage is good visibility, and I have also found it is easier to scrape ice off the windscreen. The biggest disadvantage is that (because of the improved visibility) you may not realise how slippery the road conditions have become, with another being that, if it is dark and drizzling lightly, you may not realise it is drizzling until you pass under a street light, when the tiny droplets will fluoresce.

@@TheNarrowboatPirate Rain-X has several products, including a glass cleaner with added water repellent. I prefer to use the 'neat' water repellent, as I can then be certain I have cleaned the windscreen before applying the Rain-X.
I have heard that some people use Rain-X on their shower glass, for the same reason.

Great vlog! You look great with a bit of lippy on, (thats not to say you don't normally). Bonny's doing well. Citronella oil or lemon grass oil ( on exposed wrists or neck ) also helps prevent you getting bitten to death.
If yer stuck in the mud let some air outta the tyres... but remember to go direct to a services to pump 'um back up again!
Worth you getting some auntie mats to stop you getting stuck in the mud, getting from caravan 11:05 shops not that expensive very thin bit of plastic with grip on well worth it I love listening to your videos and have a laugh

Thought the cratch cover, having had windows put in, might be velcro fastening on inside as well, so instant privacy attached on inside when its bucketing it down on the outside. Bonny is looking great, a bit more relaxed now, all down to your own great work. Take care you two, when out and about. The meeting with Sid, was brilliant, what a gentle soul he is.

Omg, I could hardly wait for this weeks episode. I would name my narrow boat, crafty411. Because I paint pictures, and I’m a crafter. Also, I’ve been holding on to this little ditty, I wrote a few weeks ago.
Heidi and Bonnie, are pirates you see. Cruising the channels until Bonny has to wee. Adventures at every towpath and lock, be strong, spider, rat pooh and lock Grissom’s, are so wrong. If a boat passes, it’s time for a shot. Just wet the lip, don’t drink a lot. Oops and bleeps are commonly heard, but it’s only an accident, Heidi never slurs. Time to moored up, get dry and make a brew. Look there’s a pub, let’s go have a few. Meeting friend and family are my favorite part. Let’s do it all again tomorrow. Let’s make a fresh start. It’s time for a little ditty, so get your drink, and follow her into the back room. Don’t be rude! Just having some fun, not like that! It lightens the mood. These are the joys of boating.
