I tried to make a dagger powerstance build, and it seemed like it was worse damage than normallyy holding them. powerstance might be good for poison buildup since the attacks are faster.
Don't sleep on the manikin knife. It may do less base damage, but the range is far better than some of the other options. On my Daggers-only run, my three staple weapons have been the bandit's knife, mytha's bent blade and the manikin knife. Bandit for damage+bleed, mytha for toxic, manikin infused with poison for range+chip damage. Sure, flamestone is longer than manikin, but manikin has more durability and more counter damage. It's been very reliable.
overall best dagger is manikin knife. good moveset of ordinary dagger, durable, mediocre for backsab/riposte and good if infused - do not loose base dmg much. And 150 counter.
In this moment im running a powerstance dual dagger, luckyly obteined 2 thief daggers after first bonfire and run all the bosses with it, stone ring, ring of blades, flynn and, chloranty, its a total beast combo, 50 dex, 40 fth, bleed procs very easy, love it having a dex assassin build, very enterteining. Actually stars whit dual mytha for tóxic and the swap to bleed dual. Puré love....
