Alex im the guy who bought an 18 manual knowing the 19s have auto rev match and ive driven my buddies 19 and it was amazing having it but not having it was not a deal breaker for me for the price difference 18s to 19s are in my area. Would have loved to have it though no doubt.
Finished my T56 swap a couple months back and went with the Mantic twin-disc. From a stop street driving is definitely rougher now, partly because of the clutch, but also because the engagement happens very high on the pedal now. The setup is absolutely wicked when going all out though.
@@fuckboiactual1976 I think we may be talking about things in reverse from each other. When I say high on the pedal, I mean letting off the pedal. The stock setup engaged very close to the bottom, pushing the pedal down.

I broke my first Calimer Stage3 with a 23 spline input shaft. I sent it back they fixed the damaged gears and installed a new 26 spline input shaft. The car is on an RXT clutch 900 rwhp, hoping it holds together this time. 😎
Granted I have a 6th gen Camaro (16’) with a motor built for boost, but the mantic twin disk almost has a similar grab point at lower rpm 900-1200 where it bucks and isn’t happy. But a slightly higher rpm like 13-1500 makes it very smooth as well as pausing halfway up the pedal when it’s enguaged

@@White_Fox_5.0 Because it's fun not to have to heel-toe it and it always does it perfectly. I had a 2016 and could heel-toe it so no issue, but I love my 19 with it. It's just so fun to use it.
Great video and a tip for non-performance package mustangs owners, Ford Performance sells the Track Handling pack suspension pckg that I found to be one step above the PP, yet comfortable and handle / launch really well on the streets. LMR and AM seem to have the better pricing.
Thinking about pulling the trigger on a stage 3 for my 15 gt. I don’t do any serious racing just some good pulls on the highway. It’s boosted , bought a rxt and broke 4th gear lol.

I managed to get the RXT to not shutter with a little more rpm and a slightly quicker release on the clutch pedal from a dead stop. Definitely gets better when the clutch is not cold.
Hey Alex could what you’re feeling with the take off be the steeper first with the combination of the more aggressive clutch ? Also imagine you bought a 2010 and the 2011 comes with 100hp extra😂
I have a start up issue when I just jump in and try turning it on immediately it just cranks for like 10 seconds , but if I leave my foot on the brake and hear the fuel pump prime then try turning it on it starts right up 🤷♂️
I've had an rxt with a bc stg 3 for 6k miles now. I definitely know what you are talking about with the take off. I've learned that I really just have to get the rpms up if I want to even attempt to slip the clutch. Sometimes I'll be chilling at a red light and it changes green and I start going without revving the engine enough and it'll bobble real bad and almost stall at times. Can be quite embarrassing but all other shifting experiences are awesome so just learned to deal with it.
Would it be of benefit to go Mantic on my '19 MT82 untill I can get the stage 3 Calimer? Twin 61 set up being installed now. No dig races, just some rolls now n then. Thanks for all the great tech info sir!!

I'm getting an ess centri installed in my 2020 right now. I'm not chasing huge power tho. I should be around 650whp. I'm leaving the mt82 completely stock (besides a mgw someday) for now. Hopefully it'll hold up for many years if I don't beat on it too much. If it does shit the bed it'll get a BC stage 2 and a clutch. Mcleod rst or lethal lpx. I can't decide between those 2 right now. And I also love the rev match
I have an ESS G2 with the 120mm pulley making 684whp on my 2017 car. Stock trans lasted 10k miles of boost before the 3 and 4 syncros said "bye bye." I would powershift that trans and beat the shit out of it. Stock clutch was in perfect shape. I now have a BC stage 2 trans, McCleod RST clutch, and Barton Hybrid 3 shifter. Car shifts great. No complaints here
Dumb question from someone deciding on this, would you recommend the stage 3 over the 1 on an n/a car just for the better ratios? I am leaning towards a 19 up for the rev matching bc I have some limited mobility in my right leg and can’t make precise movements when doing the downshift dance and I also will never boost the thing
Looking now at one of these transmissions, however it seems like they're hit or miss. I've seen numerous videos of how noisy they are or guys tearing them up. I don't know if something's changed over the years or you just happen to get a good one....
The complaints are usually from people that don’t know how to drive a manual … I just installed my stage 3 with a cloud text and dss one piece aluminum driveshaft. And love it. The trans feels so good shifts are firm and accurate. To anyone complaining about gear noise… stay with ur stock trans if you don’t want to hear anything.. I like the gear whine and am very satisfied with my purchase
Hey Alex i have a issue with Wot and af/r going down to like 11:7ish and then check engine lights comes on goes to 20:00 on af/r til light stops blinking, hooked up my SCT tuner to it shows misfire on 3 and cylinder 5. I went with the lpx clutch with my roush 2.3 set up . highly recommend it ,its quiet and had smooth engagement, stock pedal feel and travel . 2k plus for a mantic clutch is ridiculous .
I got an 18 manual and knew about the 19+ having auto rev match. What is the difference? I honestly really like having to manually rev match, makes me feel more one with the car. Is there anything else different between those two year models that I do not know about it?
I’ll tell you what the crayon-eating Ford service manager told me when my brand new ‘15 Mustang arrived with a blatantly defective throw out bearing from the factory: “It’s a performance transmission. It’s not supposed to shift smoothly.” Yeah, I went out and banged gears for 20 minutes until it sounded like stirring a box of gravel with a wooden spoon, and then stopped letting me shift completely. Then I called that idiot directly and demanded… A LOT for my trouble, lol. To his credit, he bent over and took it like a man. And that’s the story of how I got a new transmission in a Mustang with 7 miles on the ODO. I made sure to take that SM for a drive afterwards to show him how smooth it should shift from the factory. Had a sh!t eating grin on my face the whole time.

I have an RXT with a steeda clutch spring. It’s a monster, shifts beautifully it just hates first gear.
The rev match downshifting is great I ordered mine with the MT-82 just so I could have it . No 10R80 issues ever.

That's a weird comment since my stock 2020 manual GTs engagement is at the top, like 5 inches before the very top. Full engagement is like 2 inches.

With a clutch like that you do have to sometimes stab the gas a little especially on a cammed car or going uphill!

Almost 3 years into my stage 3 with RXT, and taching it up is def the easiest way to slip it smoothly.
That magnaflow with the x pipe makes the coyote sound so good! Not a fan of an H pipe in a coyote

I do the one pump on the gas then slip the clutch. With the rpms up it helps slip. No wa wa wa wa slip and still wa wa.

Shit my stock clutch kinda does too when cold. Solution is always a lil more rpm amd slippping the clutch
