  • So... Recently I've noticed a lot of symmetry between important aspects of the lotus story arc within warframe that only seem more and more relevant with each passing major quest we are introduced to. Is this what everything is leading to and why? I'll give you my thoughts on why I believe it just might be...

    Thank you for the effort you put in.
    I must say following the story as presented here; now makes way more sense. Personally the New War was underwhelming and I felt it was kind of pointless but after watching this and realising the information that came out of it, lets just say that I should have paid more attention. 😅
    Now I'm kind of hyped again for the next big quest that'll lead us on this merry path of dicovery.

      First, thank you for the incredible support, I really appreciate that!!! And I want to say that going back and playing everything again, all sorts of little details are starting to show fleshing out the story really well, but as we’re seeing, it’s contingent on going back and seeing everything as a complete package. the next few months I’ll be doing a lot of reviewing older lore and quests with new significance. Bringing to light little details that might not have been noticed the first time around, so hopefully you’ll really enjoy it what’s coming and it will prepare you and everyone else for the upcoming quests! Again, thank you so much!!!!

    I'm pretty sure the reason we turned on the orokin is clear: They were evil, terrible people and we always planned on turning on them the moment they executed margulis, it was the straw that broke the camels back. It was just that we needed the right opportunity so we gained their trust like Ordan kars and once they were in one place after the old war we launched our attack. I have no doubt the Lotus also influenced us to do so as it was her purpose.

    I think there is one player in this house of cards that you have overlooked.
    In his cave in Duviri, Teshin Dax can be overheard lamenting of how the Tenno was tutored by a sentient (The Lotus) and not by a Dax (Teshin)
    Coincidentally Teshin finds finds himself as a mentor figure to an army of Drifters whom seems to share the Tenno's affinity for the warframe weapon system.
    What I am thinking is that Teshin is making his own Tenno to perhaps put the Lotus or the Origin tenno to Justice. Perhaps even rewriting history itelf and vindicating him and his kind of past failures.
    Perhaps he is doing this in the memory of someone he cared so deeply about He kept a brainwashing veil as a momento for. Perhaps a lady that named Valeria that seems to have been one of the victims of the Orokin massacre orchestrated by the Lotus and her space kids.

    I've been thinking a lot about the Man in the Wall after watching your videos, and I believe that, at the start at least he was benevolent. There's another way of looking at the encounter with Albrecht, when taking into account the fact that it's the first interaction with the Void. Imagine a god, omniscient, omnipresent, but also alone, unable to interact with anyone, having a less developed personality as a result. Then imagine that someone knocked at its door, the first meeting that an incomprehensible being has with another. It tries to act human, to be understandable but doesn't know how. The place it creates is a mirror of the last place it's companion saw, hell it's linked in real time to it. It takes the form of the man it's talking to in a strange attempt to be familiar (surely this form wouldn't upset you, it's your own!), and calls him by the nickname only his mother used to do the same. The more I thought about the analogy you used in a previous video, with us not knowing what every cell in our body the more Albrecht's story fits into it

    I got a theory on it... If the void is a domain where the man in the wall lives or better yet the void is the man in the wall, the story is FAR easier to understand. He wants to invade our world. He has two allies, tenno and the Lotus. At first, the Orokin may have wanted to tap into that power but quickly changed their minds after the kids came home. The Lotus might have sought that power at some point to complete her programming (to end the warframes and the Orokin). Now she wants to play mom to the very same kids under contract of the man in the wall. That's right, we made a deal and so did the Lotus hence why she was so overpowered, she also has some void power as well. I dont buy the children aspect of space mommy but they did tell us that ultimately it makes sentients barren. That must be important on some level to Lotus. It's a question of why she is doing all she can to KEEP mr. man trapped in the void since he has obviously kept his promise. I am wrong tho.... I cant wait to play that part. Enough with all the Prime stuff and distractions. Lets go!

  • @anthonyslaughter1728
    @anthonyslaughter1728 Před 11 měsíci +15

    And Duviri. I was getting a kind of Revan vibe with it. The moment the deal was made with the Tenno and Mr. Man, time diverged into a timeline when we came home and a parallel timeline where we are stuck in the void/Duviri... The tenno were in stasis pods so that could account for the age or time might flow differently there then here or whatever. Being that the tenno through the power of the void is connected to both realities explains most of the "hand" stuff. Remember, I think the Lotus is also in on the deal in a way that has yet to be explained. She did push the moon into the void. Great video as always.

      @TheDsIEGE  Před 11 měsíci +3

  • @agopessimist1335
    @agopessimist1335 Před 11 měsíci +79

    I thought the flaw that Sentient's become barren after exposure to the Void was something built into them from the very beginning? If so, then that wouldn't explain Natah's motivation to turn against her race, especially since it's already super confusing on whether she truly desired the Tenno as her surrogate children, or if this was something the Orokin had implanted on her. There must be something else that she bargained for with the Man in the Wall.
    Also I never realized that the Lotus's hand literally peels back the Drifter's own hand during that scene. Gross...
    Now I'm really curious as to what the future of Warframe's story is going to be. I'm still depressed that we never got a full-blown war, but now with the Man in the Wall sowing his hands through every faction in the game, and with every single faction crippled save for the Tenno and maybe the Sentients (still have no clue what the hell is up with Pazuul and what his end goal is gonna be, or Hunhow's), there's really nothing else the Tenno have to really worry about. So who else is left for us to fight? The Man in the Wall never seems to be antagonistic towards us, the Grineer have lost a Queen, Parnum seems to want nothing to do with the Corpus of today, which is constantly in in-fighting, and the Infested just... exist. Will the Sentient's make a come-back, or will there be a new enemy faction we'll have to deal with?

    • @TheDsIEGE
      @TheDsIEGE  Před 11 měsíci +35

      The opportunity to have children again might make her do it. A mother's love is... A mother's love. Nothing quite like it, and it's as strong as the tides. But the hand is super gross.

      I don't think the Orokin would be HONEST with their creations, they see the average person as entirely non existent unless they can serve a purpose that benefits themselves. The idea that the Sentients wouldn't realize they'd be unable to replicate post-Void-Jump is in line with what we know imo.

    I think the Man in the Wall has a deal with the Tenno, lotus, Drifter, Granum, The Worm, and a certain Orokin that disappeared saying that they were unsure of whether they returned of it did. The abilities of the Lotus, Tenno, and Drifter, the creation of the Liches/sisters after a schism in those factions happening in the story and the new powers and knowledge the remaining leaders suddenly gained after Lua reappeared. makes one think he is playing everyone probably even Erra and Ballas, he probably is even the one that is allowing Vor through the key to access the void and Duviri.

  • @GlyphicEnigma
    @GlyphicEnigma Před 11 měsíci +15

    I think it's interesting that everyone assumes that what we saw at the end of the new war was from our player character's perspective. What if what we saw in the cutscene (the man in the wall) was actually what the lotus saw? That whole scene was framed to be from her perspective, at least that's how I've always interpreted it. Our character during that whole thing is either out of frame or shoved to the side, meaning that we're not the main focus, which is obvious, but wouldn't that also mean that what is shown is also not what was focused for the tenno? Just something to think about.

    • @TheDsIEGE
      @TheDsIEGE  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Maybe, but it would beg to ask even further why she wouldn't answer the question at the end, as she would have to assume we saw what she did, right?

    • @GlyphicEnigma
      @GlyphicEnigma Před 11 měsíci +9

      @@TheDsIEGE as I've interpreted it, here's what *could* have actually happened:
      (keep in mind this is perhaps not what was intended, but this is how I think things were supposed to have happened in that scene)
      We know that a portal into the void had been opened. After we defeated ballas, there was a surge of void energy that came back from the portal. What if the lotus thought the surge itself was the problem, and thus shielded us, but then had the experience we witness, but then to our operator she would have just been standing there, perhaps trying to close the void portal? I have no doubts that the surge happened, I just doubt whether our tenno could see the man in the wall come from the portal. Perhaps all the tenno knew was that the lotus saw something, but then closed the portal. Perhaps from our tenno's perspective, there was a surge of void energy, they were shielded, and then the lotus had to concentrate her power to close the portal. If the tenno saw the man in the wall, why would they need to ask what the lotus saw? If the tenno saw what we were shown in the cutscene, there wouldn't be anything to question other than something like "what was that thing and what were it's intentions?"
      I think the very fact that the tenno asked the lotus what she saw proves that the tenno didn't see what we saw in the cutscene, perhaps moreso than anything else. Still just my own interpretation, though.

    The Tenno would lose their life, so Wallie offered them the power to survive the jump, or maybe even countless deaths if gameplay is canon.
    Natah's jump from Tau would lose her her fertility, her potential future family. What if Wally gave her a family?
    If Wally needed a family for the Lotus, why not pick the point in time where he could manipulate its events to create orphans for Natah to take care of? Orphans put in a moment of need for him to exploit too?
    What if Natah's need for a family of her own is the root cause for the 10-0 accident? After all, time is not linear, certainly not in the Warframe universe. Child's play for the representation of the Void.

What was framed as a miscalculation was actually a diabolical scheme by man in the wall, locking the operator into a split reality but ultimately being the only reason the kids didn’t die and go mad like the adults did. but for what reason? I've recently had a few conversations with a few people about where we are headed and I have like 4 theories fully fleshed out. Only 1 that seems extremely plausible and will likely be more probable once we see Hunhow again. I believe that Hunhow is holding back some greater threat, recently felt this was a God of Entropy, aka the god of death and nothingness. Mannie is a God of Possibility, hence why the void can affect Eternalism, all possibilities at once. Lotus was remade through a deal with said God of Entropy creating the birth of Eidolons and the Archon Shards. At the end of the New War both gods have been released from their bonds in some way, reason we get Pazuul. Also believe there is a 3rd god, the god of Life itself, the Unum, she who can affect the flow of all. However I never really looked at our Tenno eyes in the cutscene with Erra vs Lotus, and I think it might bring up a bigger point about Wallie later. I however don't think Wallie is a villain, pretty sure he is a God who is just using us to help in his war with another god. Pretty sure the Narmer faction and it's Archons will be the enemy he is fighting. But I could very well be wrong on this. Can't wait for this years Tennocon to see where this story is headed.

Both the sentients and orokin were defeated, the grineer were not a faction with any pull and Granum was gone(unless the man wants him around) with all the tenno awake and more or less at the height of their power and organization (not scattered or sleeping like now) that was the best time to make a power play.

    I think you're onto something with the recurring motif of a severed appendage. I'd wager that DE Steve is drawing once again from classical mythology, using symbolism to make a thematic point and/or establish some loose unity between disparate characters.
    Consider:
    Tyr, the Viking god of war, lost a hand when he and the other gods while subduing Fenrir, the world-destroyer. Lotus/Natah was the Sentient field commander who lost her hand to Ballas, also a world destroyer.
    Ai Apaec, a god of the Mochicas (pre-Incan) missing an arm mid-humerus, was the "son" of an ultimate "sky" deity who despite being the creator god, was "remote, almost indifferent". The glyphs in Entrati's lab look suspiciously similar to those of ancient Colombian peoples.
    Lastly, it is no secret that DE Steve holds other famous SF creators in the highest esteem., drawing inspiration and giving nods of attribution in a variety of ways. Orokin architecture would be right at home in Frank Herbert's Dune. Entrati's lab right out of Jules Verne and HG Wells. The severed hand of the Lotus right out of George Lucas' Star Wars. Or is it from "The Monkey's Paw"?

    So it was our job to try and save her from the cult and herself, this is why I dislike that her choice at the end is made by the player, personally ied have liked it more if she had chosen who she wants to be or maybe picked a whole new identity heck the Tenno are old enough now (some older than others) that we can live without her needing to watch over us so maybe she could have gone off to find out who she wants to be.

    I was wondering if there's more to the Void and Duviri and if maybe they are the same, because surely either Duviri is an exclave in the Void or a mirror of either the universe of our main story or the Void. And the Void being some kind of mirror entity seems kind of obvious - or maybe a super entity. Although it's never explained like that.
    It's just in Duviri there is a graveyard and on the biggest monument there it says something along those lines: "In the mirror of oneself, behind the portal of becoming, nothing exists, what your own self didn't bring." (Roughly translated)
    So I was wondering if the mirror is the Void and we cause the Void to exist through our doings or existence.
    And Duviri is filled with mirrors and broken mirrors that sometimes lead into the Undercroft, which is either a passageway for the Void Angels to Duviri or an echo of something, like the inscription on the monument says, something that became real because it's the mirrored reality. Or everything at once.
    Also, there's Archimede Yonta who sometimes says that she dreamed of Albrecht Entrati and in the end he ripped himself in two.
    So as if the one that escaped the Void portal, either himself or the other, is still himself, no matter which one escaped.
    I know, I sound confusing right now, but what if the void is us (our characters) all along.
    And your theory is that Rell is either the lighthouse warden or Dominus Thrax, right? But if the man in the wall is Dominus Thrax, then it means we're all being played more than we already think we're being played.
    I'm maybe overthinking it, but I have the feeling that the ones who write the story for Warframe want it to be confusing 😅
    Oh, by the way, I kind of already accepted your theory that Duviri is the Dream. And the Dream being the Void because that's our power source isn't too far off.

      @Grasdrache Před 11 měsíci +1

      @thedsiege In Void flood missions in the Undercroft, Teshin says if the Void Angels can open the portal they will free their master. And when it's prevented he says, the smallest breach in the wall would turn everything around (or something). Does that mean the Void Angels work for the man in the wall and he is trapped somewhere on the Zariman or more precisely in Duviri? Is Duviri the breaking seal that prevents the man in the wall to enter our universe fully or something?

    • @Grasdrache
      @Grasdrache Před 11 měsíci

      @Grasdrache Před 11 měsíci +1

      In the Undercroft, there is one Dominus Thrax close by and one hidden in the clouds, like lurking and trying to be hidden or subtle. Maybe that means something.
      Either, I thought, one is the mirror image and one the real one. Or either of them is someone else. 😮
      P.S. Nevermind, there are two of him everywhere in Duviri 😮 I think the clouds represent the current spiral and emotion.
      P.P.S. Bombastine says that Thrax's power is rooted in the Undercroft. 😮

    I have a theory I'd like to share:
    I don't know the whole timeline but what if Margulis, Natah and Lotus are one and the same person???
    Just follow me; We know that Kuva provides the means to overtake death, right? And there is nothing (that I know of) to say that it is impossible to, for instance, continue living in a Sentient body, so, what if, Margulis, knowing that she was about to be executed, drank Red Kuva, but, due to the surprise of her repentine death or through more nefarious means, she ended up trapped inside Natah's body, ever in conflict with the sentient's original... sentience? That would mean that the Natah we see in the New War is a result of Ballas and Hunow interference and that Lotus is the result of Margulis finally taking over Natah's body and resuming her duties as the Tenno's Kinda, sort of Mother, right???
    That would also explain why she refused to tell what she saw when confronted by The Man in the Wall, she saw the mirror of Margulis last body before becoming Natah and that would also explain why she can become "Full Body Margulis" if the player chooses so.
    Perhaps the Man in the Wall, ally, villain or something in bewteen, found a way to fully realize Natah, Lotus and Margulis inside Natah's body or perhapes He/It showed Lotus her past self in order, for whatever reason, to remember her of what she meant to the Teeno, what she means in the present or what she could be and it falls on the player to choose who We want her to be!!!

      Those who want Sun must choose Margulis (The Moon) and those who want a dark character must choose Natah (The Sun)
      What if Natah as the Sun means not that she is the light but that if She is the MC choice, she will end the light and open the door for the Man in the Wall and what if Margulis as the Moon means that she will end the darkness and stop being influenced by the Man in the wall

Lotus is the truth of what her experiences lead to, she can see the truth, lotus does not forget her pasts and does not blind herself to the other sides of herself like the others did.

      Blinding light vs blinding dark in the end both leave you unable to see the reality in front of you.

      When I play the game and listen to TheDsIEGE videos i think about the way Gordon describes batman in the Christian Bale's movies:
      The Tenno are not heroes, nor they are villians, they are exactly what the system needs to thrive and to, eventually, move past the terrors of War!!!

    K this is driving me nuts
    Her left hand was cut of right because I can’t tell with the decaying body
    That’s why it’s missing in the oporator chair
    But tmitw gives us her right
    And the her right hand lands in divuri
    So I’d this just a problem with my eye and she regenerate her right but the decay took her left or what

    Is your character supposed to Dick Grayson in that one Batman movie with Poison Ivy?
