“i like the way that controller look. fuck a wheel” had me crying
😂😂😂😂😂
It's pretty common, but they use official controllers
just the "fuck a wheel" was good haha
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think the controller was the least of the problem of the event.
Make a list of bad decisions from that project and the controller will go to the end with every item you add.

The only crew member that I truly feel bad for is the 19-year-old that only went along because he wanted to do something nice for his dad on Father's Day and paid the ultimate price. He didn't even want to go.
Yeah his aunt said he was scared shitless, like the others I don’t feel too bad about but he literally had no choice
People need to stop saying that. You guys just repeat the same rhetoric. If you feel sorry for the kid, you should also feel sorry for his father. His father, im sure, was someone he loved. So when people were cracking jokes about the situation at first it was fine. Now it's "I feel sorry for the kid." It makes you seem like a moron. It took revealing that a 19 year old was on board in order for you to feel sorry for someone?
@@rickybobby6845 Dude chill, I never said I didn't feel for the families of the other crew members. But, let's be honest, most of the others saw what they were getting into and how shoddy the sub was before getting into it. There's actually a guy who initially bought a ticket but bailed last minute because he looked into it more and decided it wasn't worth it. I agree that it's a bit much to outright joke about the victims.
@@rickybobby6845 Nah fuck that kid I wouldn't ride a skidoo without a life vest for my dad
@@peggedyourdad9560yeah, let’s feel sorry for the families of the victims and not feel sorry for the victims themselves 😊
That part about *"everyone wants to be a billionaire"?* Had everyone in that room quietly thinking so loud you could hear their thoughts 🤔 💭💭 😂😂😂
Why the fck doesn't this comment have more likes!
@@myas9207 thank you, because they all were in deep thought with some guilt. 🤷🏽♂️😂😂😂
Boredom must be a real problem for billionaires. When I'm bored I watch stand up on youtube. When billionaires are board they decide to fly to space or take a submarine down to the ocean floor lol.
He wasn't funny people felt awkward people died on that sub.He bomb man. I didn't laugh once.
That statement
is so true and is the reason why injustice is easily given out and it's not a problem for most becuz they can turn their heads and not see it becuz it's not affecting them
I loved that this got nuanced and deep for a second rather than just trying to make it all jokes just because it's a comedy show. Felt real & honest & human. Also good points.
It’s actually super annoying. Same w Matt rife and other Gen z comedians. They need to perfect their comedy before they insert preachiness and serious social commentary into their routines.
1. You’re not funny enough yet
2. Your perspective isn’t remotely unique or interesting enough to warrant that.
Unfortunately, almost all of Gen Z and most millennials think they’re the main character.
@@kyleconnor2759holy shit dude it’s not the deep relax 😂
@@wizzykhalifa3552 No he is right, We come for comedy not for a boring lecture on social commentary.
They’re not even gen z comics. Just because someone is new to you, doesn’t mean they’re new to the comedy scene.
@@amandapryor8527 that wasn't his main point that's kind of a strawman
Had the audience all wrapped up in the moral dilemma and then threw a curve ball with the orca joke 🤣
The 15 secs, was MAGIC...
I was waiting for the punchline 😂
Great comedy chops. He was confident back when his hair was cut close. Now he's a comic orator that paints funny verbal pictures.
And the Logitech controller actually survived the implosion
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 Says a lot about Logitech. Is all I'm saying.
😂 yoooo
Yep 😂 it’s sturdy like the old Nokia phones.
Why isn’t Josh bigger than he is? He deserves to be more famous
It’s coming I know it is!! Only a matter of time.
nope. he's right where he should be
He'll get there!
Facts
It’s just his build up 😏 Just wait.
He's one of my favorite comedians. Very thoughtful dude and funny as hell.
@sexymonkey696so, basically you're telling me that you base your oppinions on the oppinions of others?
Are you not able to experience something first hand and form an oppinion based on that?
Do you think that little of yourself?
Why do you assume that the oppinions of others are more valid than your own?
I worry for you.
@sexymonkey696 Oh, I misread your comment as saying "He's" instead of "Hell's". (Totally different)
And so, my protective instincts kicked in.
I wish all good things for this guy.
I value humor highly.
It's important to me.
And this guy is consistently able to make me laugh.
@sexymonkey696just move on and shut up
Yeah making fun of dead people is pretty thoughtful. I used to be a big fan of josh but every time I see him he has a whole different identity. And I'm pretty sure if there had been at least one black passenger on that sub he wouldn't be saying anything negative.
@@hectorvasquez3605 dumbest comment ever. COPE
I think the reason people care about this incident is that its caked in the irony of the fact that they were looking for a sunk ship
... with the Captain of the submersible having the same level of hubris as the captain of the titanic
Oh, snap! That IS it! The thoroughgoing irony of the situation.
That's not how irony works. Alanis Morisette lied to you in the 90s...
It's also interesting.
Refugees dying on a boat.. it happends more then you think. We are used to that.
Schadenfreude at its best 😂❤
Once more, we as human race need a intelligent, insightful comedian to give us a bite of reality in our mess...Thanks Josh, you're our treasure!
He allow ppl to see how shitty they really are that's why it was quiet in the room
that's because we chose them as the ones who will tell us this stuff to our face
@@BusinessWolf1 If a comic doesn't then who will? The anchor's has a narrative they're trying to push, politicians are bought, teachers get fired by said politician (Desatan); maybe your parents... for now. Newsome is already trying to separate families for thought crimes.
Some humans need to be bitch slapped with reality because they live in some crazy type of ( can't come up with a good analogy) Barbie Dream World.
I apologize for this comment. I lost the analogy I was going to type.

I’ve been a huge fan of Josh since the days of “I catfished the Klan“ and I am so proud of him. He is a brilliant comedian and he just gets funnier and more insightful. I want him to have a TV series and a Netflix deal.
We’ll played! Deep AND hilarious without disrespect. Very insightful young man.
None of this was deep. Remotely. Most people already understand the points he stopped the comedy part of his show to make.
Huge main character syndrome issue with young performers now.
Is this the new thing now? Bring your set to a complete halt so that you can stand there and tell us how to be more human? 😂
Shows a total lack of perspective. Your take on these things is not unique. It’s not poignant. It’s normal. So it shouldn’t be included in this way, which totally interrupts the flow you’ve created.
Figure out how to make these points THROUGH your jokes or don’t include at all.
I’m sure this will be considered ‘hating’ but it’s not. Josh could be great, but he’s already falling prey to the same narcissistic tendencies a lot of young performers are these days.
Become a true master stand up comedian before you start thinking your serious asides have any place in your set. But by then anyway you’ll realize they don’t.
@@kyleconnor2759dude why you h8teeng? Stop it.
@@kyleconnor2759let me see you do better than him then. You think you better than him right?
Bruh i see them mfs ain't gamers - that 'Legend of Dragoon' joke is too funny 😂😂🎮🔥

That one took me back I loved that game as a kid.

Giant squid: "That's it. Honey, we're moving."
The Orcas 😂
I wonder if he considered the inverse: We didn’t want to pay attention to the refugees because we don’t like considering that we could end up as refugees if enough things go wrong.
Or both...
Odds are greater that we'll end up refugees than billionaires.
5:10
@@kingayy9267 Amen!!!!
i think of this all the time, like most of us are closer to ending up on the street than being billionaires. that's just fucked.
That's a rare ability he's got as such a young age, to be thought provoking, while not sacrificing the laughs.
I love Josh's ability to make something tragic hilarious but also shed light on the need for human empathy. It's true that we can have empathy for these rich families but also demand more be done to save drowning refugees. Lives are lives, and isn't that what we say when we say love is love? Granted that might be skewed if terrible crimes against humanity were done, so we need to look at these two events as lives lost. We need to demand and protest for better and quicker action to be taken in times of disaster. Just ask the orcas.
The orcas have been scaring me until I found out the first one was pregnant. Now it makes sense. She’d had enough.
This shit is lame. Do you want to be a comedian or lecture people on humanity? Josh needs to decide, Bc the mix ain’t working.
He can make these points through jokes, but many young comedians think their perspective is so powerful and unique (main character syndrome) that they have to stop everything and tell us.
It’s brutal. Josh is obviously funny and smart, but he hopefully will reevaluate doing this.
@@kyleconnor2759 I disagree. Some of the greatest comedians of all time were also philosophers in their own right, like George Carlin and Dave Chappelle. I think Josh Johnson is walking the well-worn road to greatness. 🙂
@@kyleconnor2759
I dunno, I think the mix is working out pretty well, and your reasoning as to why he can’t to both isn’t making that much sense? 🤨
@@Drekromancer chapelle is a sell out loser. Carlin was and still is insanely overrated
I feel like I’m seeing his evolution as a comedian and I’m truthfully grateful to witness it
Josh is a fresh breath of air to both comedy and social commentary
"Damn, this a bad neighborhood" 😂😂😂😂
WOW! That’s the first time I could clearly see Josh’s influence on The Daily Show writing, cuz if you go back and watch Trevor’s monologues and jokes, you’ll pick up this essence right here! Of course, Trevor is great! But props to the writers, cuz clearly Josh’s style is not only hilarious but classic and unique. 🔥🔥🔥
I felt the same way about Travis Scott on Kanye as well as comedian Sam Jay
And you brought us back up. This set was deep! So good.
I sea what you did here.
Crushin it with that one lol
When I heard about the son, I did feel bad. To know he actually didn't even want to go, and the other son actually spoke up and his dad listened to him so they're living.
That smile @5:47 Josh does when he's thinking of the next joke and it makes him laugh...mesmerizing
He's definitely gotten better at keeping a straight face, but it is still fun to see that smile crack through.
Idk why this guy isnt famous yet. Ive been watching his clips for years, he’s really talented!
It’s called paying your dues… he’s getting there. Anyone who eventually makes his it famous has years of anonymity… you’re doing dives, working your craft… his time is coming but let it peak at the right moment. Just like Mate Bargtze did.
Love this dude’s work
Josh makes me laugh every time I watch him. We all need to laugh more/moan less. Thank you Josh for my bit of self help. Keep ‘em coming.
I came for the jokes and then it got amazingly profound. Wow, that was incredible. That rapt attention everyone gave you, complete silence..that was such a moment.
Good funny takes without being cruel or accusing - I liked this set!
It was touted as "an immersive, once-in-a-lifetime experience."
I like how he brings up serious points to make you thank but is also hilarious
This man just dropped a Legend of Dragoon reference....what a GOAT
I’m a simple person, I see Josh Johnson and I click 🤷🏽♀️
Never seen a comedian roast a gaming company before 😂
when he went quiet I knew he was going to say something stupid 😂😂
4:55 I came here for the laughs but I stayed for the existential introspection. Thanks Josh
I’ve been following Josh’s comedy for a few years now, and it’s cool to see where his mind goes.
I mainly wanted to comment that I appreciated “The Legend of Dragoon” reference. What a deep cut! 😆
WOOOOOOOW!!! Shoutout to Josh playin Legend of Dragoon when he was 14. Refined tastes right there 🧐 😄
What a smart, sensitive young man. I've always thought introspection and hard conversations were the beating heart of comedy. You need a strong sense of humor and a reverence for the things that matter all at once - and I think he's nailed the balance. I look forward to watching his star continue to rise. ❤
even tho i love josh's comedy i almost didn't watch this bc i've been tired of seeing how callous the internet has treated the whole situation... i was very pleasantly surprised at how respectful, deep + philosophical this was while also being absolutely hilarious. thank you. sorry i ever doubted you for a second josh!
You are literally my new favorite comedian. I've been watching so many videos since my dad sent Harriet Tubman's shoe deal Tuesday. Gotta see you live now
I really enjoy his observational humor. It’s clear that he takes time to think about things.
Can we just pull up at the water fountain of wisdom that is Josh Johnson?
Josh got real at the end spittin philosophical reasons why there is a difference because of our perceptive conditioning but also it’s cause they were rich and the new knows that gets attention and as revenue cause these people did everything right like Josh said so why did something bad happen to them.
Nah, it was because it was a wildly unusual situation, linked to another famous tradegy, still lodged in the cultural zeitgeist. Tragically refugee boats sinking are a common occurance. It was ongoing situation, so there was a ticking clock element to keep people intrigued and checking back to the 24 hr news channels. The refugee boat sank quickly and those unfortunate souls were dead or rescued pretty quickly. And because of the circumstances and victims involved it raises a broad range of emotional responses from the population at large to discuss and drive engagement. Refugees drowning is very cut and dried tragic end of. No one has any time for dissenting opinions.
@@franciscopozolemass shootings in the us are also a common occurence yet we speak about them all the time. The ticking clock was specifically put in place to keep people engaged bc if you had an ounce of common sense you'd know they imploded instantly. It was a show made of nothing. Also absolutely no, the sinking wasn't some immediate process, it is materially impossible. Hundreds of people were basically left missing and were still recovering their identities. It's funny that you say no one has time for dissident opinions, bc it's the dissident opinions - expressed by protestors - that actually care for refugee lives. The accepted "normal" opinion is actually "who cares, let them drown". Like, researchers like those of forensic architecture make such compelling, methodically innovative investigations about these situations, yet ppl prefer counting hypothetical hours of oxygen left for an already destroyed submarine.
My favorite...he can nail a complicated subject with such style and sarcasm!
I get the feeling this sharp, bright young man could have become a brain surgeon, but he chose the more difficult and brave path... comedy. 😁 Bravo for being you, young philosopher, you're fully alive! Gratitude! Subscribed! 🌞💪🏻👏👏👏👏👏🌹🙏🏼
Put hilariously and you said exaclty what I was thinking! Another great set, Josh! :)
😄 The Legend of Dragoon reference! Nice!
Solid gold comedy! 😂🏅👍 Rooting for your success!
This person said some real shit then blew it up. I loved this. Amazing delivery.
Not Legend of Dragoon..😂😂😂 That game was the shit though.
legend of dragoon is top 5 greatest RPGS ever made, solid reference!!
Jus found this guy and he's hilarious. I love how he also interjects meaningful wisdom throughout his jokes.
LEGEND OF DRAGOON! My man!
I love that you played Legend of Dragoon!! 😆
Yoooo I fucking love me some Legend of Dragoon. Who was in your setup? Dart Herschel and Kongol every time I don't care how beautiful Rose or her transformation is
This reminds me of Ali siddiq...they have the ability to take to the deep dark reality but then get you to laugh afterwards
Comedians willing to laugh at their own jokes in my opinion makes the show so much more enjoyable. Love to see him having fun.
And FUCK A WHEEL took me the fuck out.
This guy is good!
Always top tier comedy.
One of my favorites.
4:54 The whole room got super quiet when he started dragging the whole world
This got DEEP!!! (No pun intended)
Who else smiled when Josh said "Legend of Dragoon" literally one of my favorites growing up...
I didn't expect to hear that one, but it was my favorite game back in the day
Great set, had me lol a few times. Rip to them that were lost.
Josh Johnson delivers 💯🔥😎
The way he pauses and almost giggles on the punchline is brilliant stagecraft, even if it is accidental.
Subscribed. That was deep. (Pun not intended.) That we can be more focused on people whose lifestyles we aspire to, and therefore inordinately captivated by an arguably lesser tragedy is definitely an insight.
This is such a good set & with such a powerful truth, we aren’t seeing ourselves in the faces of refugees even though we have more in common w them than we ever will w the rich. That segment hit hard especially as a middle eastern woman myself. We (like society in general) want to be billionaires but more of us than ppl are ready to admit are closer to refugees. What a damn good set, made me laugh and think!
I love your comedy. Hilariously heady.
his set up for these were so great i kept being like is he going somewhere with this like is there a point or punchline to whst he's saying...and then he'd smile real quick and give us that stare with the slight smile in his eyes and i'm like oh okay he knows something funny is coming, he is going somewhere with this...i really like this style feels like stream of conciousness that he recorded wrote down and then remembered to perform.
I saved it all day for in here... TRUTH...
the way to say, I'm going be frank & funny @ the same time...
Special places are important!!!
😂Hey Josh!
I always love your comedy. I like how you intuitivly step in other's shoes and make comedy gold.
Truly one of the greatest to do it. Comedy is all about having something to say behind the jokes, and to be this funny and ask the audience to think about one situation from several perspectives and actually have the message super well received is the pinochle of stand up comedy
The sign of a great comedian is that he makes us laugh, and he makes us think. Josh Johnson succeeded spectacularly in this clip.
You have to be the only comic who will ever make a legend of dragoon reference. Thats my favorite video game of all time. Got a little excited when i heared it not going to lie.
I feel like every time I see him hes more and more insightful. Like the nuance that he has and his ability to apply those observations is something that I am constantly impressed by
I just discovered you this week and I'm loving everything I've seen. great stuff
I couldn't get enough of his smile
He is gorgeous.

Great bit Josh. I can't wait to see the full set and hopefully you make your way up to Winnipeg Canada and I can see you live but hey that's just what i think but what do the orcas think lol
Damn, he brought me back to high school with that Legend of Dragoon comment. 😄
A little Jarrod Carmichael in there. This is funny!
Well Josh Johnson did a better at being a human with empathy than all these idiot politicians we have. Well done Sir 🙌
I really like that you can work through your feelings in a standup routine, make a point and still make people laugh.
Hell yeah, Legend of Dragoon!
Bro..the fact that u said Legend of Dragoon tho lol. Super classic

That's so funny. One of the best comedians I know.
5:01 listen to this yall. Hope this hits you like it hit me.
yep, empathy has levels based on affinity, it's a horrible trait
That’s some Dave Chappelle level of coverage. Take a touchy subject, give it room to breath, and work in a joke to lighten the mood at the last minute
As opposed to the modern Chappelle method, hammer on the easy, cruel, crowd pleaser jokes, taking advantage of the ignorance of your audience, then rake in your unearned money and coast on having appeared to be kind over 15 years ago.
This young man is brilliant have spent the day just jumping from one clip to the next. Well I got a few other things done but, not much. 😂😂😂😂
I'm glad I stumbled upon Josh. There are very few contemporary comedians that are as thoughtful. Louis CK and Dave Chappelle are the only ones that I can think of at the moment.
