In his biography, it is said that he's looking to be in love with someone, "maybe someone that's a litlle more adverse to the limelight, or just light in general..." this sentence makes me thing of a vampire, because they can't stand the sun, the light. And he's friend with Elvira, a vampire. So i think that maybe the developpers had in mind to make those two fall in love?

I remember the first time my sim met him was when he fell out of an elevator in a nightclub. I was so happy because it was the perfect love story in my head. Then on their wedding party he immediately just cheated on my sim by himself. My dissapointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

I’ve never played that storyline, but I think I might. I’ll have him get together with Caroline, but not in marriage! They decide to live in an unofficial marriage and eventually Caroline will get pregnant ... After their second child is born, she can’t take it anymore and runs away from the family, leaving Matthew to raise the kids. He finds the true love of his life in an unexpected way, that being his children. He becomes an adoring single father of two and completely embraces his role as a dad.

Honestly, I always made him gay! It just made sense to me, a proclaimed ladies man who could never really pick, who eventually settles with a man and creates a scandal in Bridgeport with his coming out.

I married him with my evil vampire sim who I made immortal with a lifetime reward, they currently have 2 vampire daughters.

In my game I wanted to have a plotwist for him so got him married to my Bridgeport female man eater who was also a celebrity, a bit of his own medicine. They had a kid BUT both had commitment issues. Both cheated, Matthew with Elvira Slayer. He was more popular so the one with cheater reputation was the wife in the end!! They divorced 😂 half of this happened while playing another household... The magic of Sims 3.

How'd you get the child support mod?
@@s.j.t6006you nraas master controler and then you have like an extension of it nraas master controler money . You download those two. Put them in your mods folder and then you go into the game and set it up with nraas master controler. I can help you if you want once you download it

Matthew was my sim’s boss and after first day of work, he called and asked my sim for a date. Fast forward they are now married and he never cheated. They even had eternally faithful moodlet.
There's a sim called Devin Ashton that is obsessed with Mathew and is just starting his acting career when you start the town. I always saw them as a potential romantic relationship mixed with an "all about eve" (the movie) style of drama/conflict between them. Even their names kinda reassemble the characters' names of this movie.

My male sim had the Heartbreaker lifetime wish and so dated Matthew Hamming. Except he really liked my character and was very upset at being broken up with, and always tried to get back together, which was awkward because we were best friends first. When I tried to set him up with Devin, they were both angry at me lol

I had a sim that married Matthew, they had triplets and then he had an “accident” that left her a widow. She took comfort in his brother, who changed his ways and settled down with her.

I got my sim to marry him and I would like to think she sunk her claws into him, turned his mansion into a family home and she sure didn't let go until the day he died. He never seemed misribal though so I think he was happy I guess or at least content. Didn't even realise he had commitment issues as I never seemed to encounter them
i have nraas story progression and marina prattle was hooking up with beau and so was my sim and they got into a brawl in euigis💀💀
The brothers reminds me of Damon and Stefan from The Vampire Diaries. Could make sense because Bridgeport is a city full of vampires and they are both wearing the same ring which could symbolise the "Daylight Rings" that are in TVD.

A thing I had with this dude:
He and one of the sims I created had gotten into a relationship by the time the 1st week has passed, but after a day or two, he started being always too busy to text/call/be invited over, which made me upset, so I tried finding him on a manhunt to get him to break up, so my sim could get a new partner. The problem? I still couldn’t find him. I gave up and made my sim cheat, but that’s when he shows up and gets upset! I am honestly frustrated at that and it’s been YEARS since I had the game.
I love playing as him, I always start him with Elvira and they have two kids before she cheats on him with his brother and they break up and Matthew marries Marina

Back when I used to play Sims 3, I made him get together with a younger male sim, but bc I didn’t like the celebrity system then, I made his young lover run off and then I felt bad, so I cheated Matthew to no longer be a celebrity and then got them back together. Lol
I once made a sim I was trying to make her get rich and famous, in the second sim day of playing I took her to a bar and convinced the bouncer to let me in, there I saw Mathew and I made my sim impressive him and I advanced the relationship to partners, suddenly he just proposed to my sim. I didn’t make him do it. I didn’t know it was possible for npcs to just propose out of no where. I accepted it and my sim got rich and famous so she was happy. I was so surprised when i saw that he has commitment issues, seeing as he proposed to my sim the first day he met her. It was the first and the last time an npc in the sims proposed to my sim.
I've never really used him for his money or fame... I usually kicked him out and took his mansion for my Sims right away xD

Why do most the sims in Bridgeport have some hidden family, marina prattle and Serephina Prattle (supposedly but like they’re identical come on), Jessica Talon and Erika Talon, Wogan Hemlock and Brigit Hemlock, Rafael and Richie Striker (even though at the start of the game they don’t know eachother) , like none of the other towns have this - that I’m aware of. And why are most of the siblings / parents townies ? Serephina , Erika , Brigit. It’s weird.
I personally just like to think of them as 2nd cousins or something like that.
I don’t play with premade sims but I do marry my sims to Matthew for that money and house a lot whenever I play Bridgeport.
I always paired him with Marina since she doesn't hate children. But I like the idea of him sleeping around and getting several girls pregnant. A storyline of him getting both Marina AND Caroline pregnant could be interesting.
Matthew and Micheal remind me of a movie, “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane.” Starring Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. It a story between two sister, one was pretty and talented who is a child star. But then they became adults, and the once talented child star struggled to find fame again at the same time her sister’s fame is rising.
I loved playing him in my sims 3 marrying him to my sim . I clicked , instantly. I always wondered why Matthew hamming and some other sims were not carried over to the sims 4. Hopefully, they’ll be making a return in the sims 5.
In my Sims 3 Bridgeport save game, my female sim had a daughter with Matthew, and are engaged. I check his family tree and I believe because of Nraas, he was in a relationship with Jessica Talon, and have a vampire daughter together, they broke up and she married Beau Merrick and are living together with the daughter who now has Merrick last name.

I think that Matthew could feel less lonely if he adopted/had a kid. It's still a commitment but one that he cannot run away. Might even help with his relationship with his brother, since Michael wuld become an uncle.

I had my character fall in love with Mathew before having him break her heart while she is pregnant. She then moves out and raises the child but Mathew would keep showing up wanting to chill. It was like a booty call

When you brought up that both brothers could've been child stars, I was reminded of the backstory for the black and white film "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane Hudson"; long story short, the titular character was a child star who loses her fame and looks over time while her previously overlooked sister becomes famous and remains beautiful. Something like that could be at play as well.
Also, I can't believe you forgot about the fan for Matthew Hamming that's a part of one of the other households, there's something to put into place there.

My sim accidentally got pregnant with Matthew Hamming and they had a baby boy. My Sim and Matthew lived separately, and the kid grew up as a single child and had a small wish where he wanted to "Meet Dad" lol. The son grew up and he looks almost identical to Matthew Hamming (no facial edits too!)
I've been playing as Matthew Hamming in my latest game, and uh...I really leaned into the commitment issues trait for him. First off, I've got his Charisma maxed out and I've completed all but the Comedian challenge, and I've also got several social perks (Inappropriate in a good way, Above Reproach, Master of Seduction, and No Jealousy namely), so he's real good at making friends. My first main "quest" with him was to have him seduce Emmy Starr and fool around with her while she was still seeing Alan Stanley. Eventually he got her to break up with him, and from there it was a VERY quick progression from "romantic interest" to "married" (they had the ceremony at Plasma 501 since that's where they met). I gave him the Fertility Treatment perk, which means that when he got Emmy pregnant on the wedding night it was with twins.
But then. naturally, I had him immediately leave his new wife at home and go and cheat on her with...uh. I literally don't remember at this point. I've made him cheat with SO many women, and between his charismatic nature and the fertility treatments, every single affair has ended with these women getting pregnant, most of them with twins (though he did have triplets with Tiara Angelista). I am not kidding when I say he's got, like, 18 biological children across 7-8 mistresses, plus twins with Emmy. He's lost so many slander cases trying to dispel the rumors about him having children out of wedlock LOL.
The first couple times the rumors went around, Emmy tried to break up with him, but I kept canceling the break up action (or maybe something made it impossible for her to continue and it timed out, idr). I had Matthew repair his relationship with her with....uh, some mod-assisted marital relations. But even though she's still happily married to him, I helped her get her revenge, twice. There are four children in the house (6 counting the imaginary friends turned real), and two aren't Matthew's. One of those kids was fathered by Emmy's boss, Devon Ashton, and the other was fathered by....Michael Sleep. Yes, Matthew's brother that he hates. I figured that would be the ultimate revenge, even if Michael has to watch his daughter be raised with Matthew's name.
At this point the kids are growing up and I'm becoming more interested in them, plus Matthew's probably going to die soon since he's almost reached Elder, so the curtain's kind of falling on him and Emmy's story. I do fully intend to keep making him be unfaithful though, because I want to see how many kids I can get out of him and with how many different women. I had one of his twins host a slumber party recently and literally EVERY single child in attendance was one of their half-siblings through Matthew (since they only have 2 half siblings through Emmy and they live with them). It was honestly really fun, we had one massive game of tag and everyone's relationship got to at least friends, which is kinda nice considering they're all siblings who hate or are ambivalent to their father. One of the twins who lives in the house absolutely HATES Matthew and his twin sister is ambivalent to him.
I already have something of a story for them planned. One of the aforementioned twins will become the Leader of the Free World, and I'm intending to make him a wholesome family man with lots of legitimate kids and one affair child (prompting comparisons to his dad and he low key can't believe he became like him at all). The other Twin is going to become the Empress of Evil, and I'm not sure yet whether I want her to be legitimately a good mom and wife, or if I want her to be just as bad as her parents but unashamedly so.
