How often do you watch a 'Before You Buy' AFTER you buy? Me? Very often.
David White me never
Smart
just did it and would do again, lol, after all if u buy on ps4 and want to refund, it goes to your ps wallet, so its best to keep it
David White always
Nearly always
If I didn't know that this was a Resident Evil game, I would have definitely thought this is a Silent Hills game.
Silent Hill is on a whole different leauge. I'm not a Silent Hill fan but Silent hill atmosphere is very distinctive. This RE is the most RE game I've played ever since RE4. Perfect classic RE.
Thats disrespectful. This looked like an indie game.
Darkflue14 If this was Silent Hills, there would be no weapons to use and you'll just run or hide throughout the game. That's how Kojima wanted Silent Hills to turn out.
CB definitely not
Darkflue14 This game has the same plot as silent Hill
playing this game for the first time, i was afraid to open any door
The first door to enter the house for the first time scared me because I just got jumped scared by some crows and I saw the dad so I was really creeped out
Or whenever you’re turning a corner 😂 the big witch lady with long arms made me shit my pants after appearing up in my face from a whole in the wall 😂
@@mr.humdinger1362 Oh yea that is right. You can see Jack walking around outside for a moment when you first arrive at the house 😂😂
I played in vr and tried to put my hand in front of my face because of how terrified I was 🤣
Ive gotten through almost half the game with a handgun that has no ammo, a broken shotgun with shotgun ammo i cant even use
Guess how i have gotten through that half of the game
A pocket knife
Yes, i have gotten through almost half the game with a pocket knife.
im sick of repetitive open world games.
games like these with atmosphere is so much more interesting.
Agreed. This game''s atmosphere is top notch.
Agreed, this feels like open world, as you have full control of movement, but some areas gets locked off and unlocked
Preach. Open World sometimes feels like real life. I can go anywhere, but I can't do shit.
As I get older I'm finding that i like the more focused, more atmospheric games, than the ones that boast hundreds of hours of unfocused gameplay.
Jay T Same here
The baker family need to catch me outside!
how boh dah
samy mucho Howbow dah?
samy mucho I swear to God people have been saying this at my school all fucking day lmao.

*Guy swings axe towards player*
*Player blocks with hands*
Ok.
BigFuriousGamer game not simulator
in older Resident Evil titles, the characters didn't even block an incoming attack. They just take it between their shoulder or head.
So..... What's your problem? Really?
BigFuriousGamer Of course not. Hell he pours some alcohol on his hand and his whole body is healed.lol
Yudhaputera Wardiman I actually have no problem with it whatsoever. It was just a joke.
BigFuriousGamer It's video game logic, get over it
The original Resident Evil was 9 hours long. This is 10 hours. People complaining about length obviously didn't play the original and need to shut up.
People are assholes and always complain. This was a solid game.
Original RE was beatable within 2 hours actually and was 50% the price of this. FWIW
Go to the link. For most people, RE1 took 9 hours if they're not rushing. It may not seem like rushing to you, but it is. howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=7716
Not gonna check your channel, but congratulations, you rushed through the game. Visit this link: howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=38051 As you can see, 239 people so far have polled that it takes them on average, 11 hours to beat RE7 without rushing.
Nite_W this was 11 and a half hours for me
Doesn't Say "Reeeessssideent EVILLL" at title screen
1/10
This is a very strong argument. I support.
LMAO i agree
OMG IKR
Lmao
I'm still sad about Silent Hills, that game looked so interesting.
Also where are my zombies in RE game?!!!!
That is one aspect that was sorely missed.
I think RE always needs zombies or something close to them.
RE4 didnt have zombies either :)
gameranx It does, it's funny how capcom always tries to give us something that looks like zombies but for some reason refuse to use the real thing instead
RE4 was actually just crazy villagers. I think it was a cult with a sort of weird bug living inside them
Kinda like the body being it's host
Doesn't this game have zombie like enemies like the Regenerator? I don't remember their name but im sure there are.
They picked the right state. There are some real shit holes here in Louisiana.
Futilizer Agreed.
Futilizer This is the shittiest shithole I've seen by far.
Futilizer Baton rouge for example
Honestly looks like a cool state. Bayous and New Orleans seems like my kind of stuff. Would love to go down there (I'm in Canada).
Futilizer Thanks for calling me a shit hole, most of the shit holes are from New Orleans and Baton Rouge
MAN....IDK WHAT YALL TALKIN ABOUT, THIS IS THE BEST RESIDENT EVIL SINCE 4!!
SlimDreDrizzy I agree. resident evil 4 was great, resident evil 5 was only great if you played with a friend in my opinion, and resident evil 6 was a completely wrong turn for the resident evil series. But hallelujah resident evil 7 came along and got me interested in resident evil again. I hope resident evil 8 and 9 are also creepy first person games
Andrew Hooven ME TOO. 1ST PERSON IS THE WAY TO GO
SlimDreDrizzy Hell yeah. I was scared all throughout my gameplay. Felt very anxious! So gold
Gerwin Eric NOW I WISH THEY MADE MORE MISSIONS AND ENEMIES...
Just finish it last night. Very good game! Keep it going capcom!
the narrow ass halfways is DEFINITELY vintage resident evil as well. Narrow halls and sharp turns with jumpscares is one element of the originals
Jill Sandwiches all around
gameranx hi
gameranx hi do it you like GTA 5
Are you gonna review For Honor when its come out ? :3
gameranx I nearly shitted my pants watching this game
HECK YEAH
You can beat the first 3 resident evils in under an hour if you know what you're doing.
GroovyQ1017 Zero and code veronica too, but the first time you play, those definitely take you much longer.
GroovyQ1017 it's actually impossible, re 2 takes an hour at best. check the speed runs of the games
I mean in any game you shave off at least half your play time if you know what you're doing. That's how speedruns came to. People knowing what they were doing and completing a game in a fast/ or faster time. Think of it as a time trial, your first run will almost always be your worst, and after that you have a grasp on what you're doing which allows you to finish faster than the last time.
DarkShadix ofcourse first time is hard cuz off all the puzzles u have to complete to finish the game
I can beat your ass, because I know what I'm doing.
Who's here after RE: Village
It sucks that it is Next Gen exclusive
@@k0des yeah
Tanishq Kurl not at all I don’t want to buy the next gen console. Waste of money tbh
@@k0des get a decent pc lol😂
@@k0des seriously man...it's comming next year and by that time most games will be for the next gen 😂
I'm 3 years late but I just finished the game. Took me 13 hours and 12 minutes and I loved every minute of it! The only underwhelming part was how easy the final boss was but other than that, I loved it!
Uncharted 4 was 10ish hours and it's my favorite game of all time
Well it has a great story, great characters, a very nice ending and multiplayer all of this makes 100 times better than RE7
lol uncharted is not around 10 hrs. not even if you play on ez and use god mode , no clip thru the ground. its 15-20 hr game. on easy . who the fuck plays a game to race thru it. just a waste of money
Zbuckner I'm a sports game fan but it's my favourite game I've ever played that's not sports, game was so good
Uncharted 4 has an achievement to beat the game in under 6 hours so I'd say 10 hours is fair for a lower limit for first time on low difficulty.
Zbuckner uncharted 4 on hltb is registered as 16 hours long, which is the average play time. Its the longest uncharted of all. Its got 23 chapter and an epilogue. ITS NOT A SHORT GAME! If anything, its much longer than re7.
too late, i already bought it, still watching this tho!
Dazz Beats is it good?
Landon Fry I like it, resident evil definitely went back to its horror roots, but it does have that outlast vibe, but with the puzzles and some what licker zombies/monsters it's definitely a resident evil and game and probably can take between 6-14 hours depending if you speed through it or not
Gaming Neko good bc I'm planning on getting it this weekend and just wanted to know if it was good thanks
Dazz Beats I mean the story is interesting but the combat system is so horrid
The movies were great, even if they weren't resident evil-ish at all
I seriously love this game so much. Haven't been able to put it down yet and I just finished my 7th play through not long ago. This game is amazing and for anyone on the fence about buying it I really can't recommend it enough. I haven't enjoyed playing a game this much since Doom came out last year. Still can't believe IGN only gave it a 7.7/10
GeorgeWBushTeaBag becuase it wasn't call of duty, like alien isolation
Homie do you have any tips for wimps lmao I got game pass and wanna play it started and nothing scary has happened at all so far but yet I’m still a scared cat LMAO give me da tips if you would want to anywho-
@@MsRizz100 gain balls
@@luckasta6269 LMAO bro ty ty but I beat res 7 & 8 now :) a long ass time ago but I did gain my balls, 7 was so amazing so glad I got my balls bro.
@@luckasta6269 but now that your here any games alike, I should play?
I play the game in vr and I love it. the intensity and the jump scares are awesome. it's definitely in your face and eerie! I love how it makes you not want to go into the next room because you get scared to do that. when you are in vr the outside world ceases to exist and you are really in this house. also, with the headphones, it makes it feel so real.
I really want to play in VR but I know there's no way I can do it. I need the safety of the real world around me and it's scary enough just on a computer screen. 😅
0/10 no boulder punches
it'll be DLC
lol
Brandon Flash XD
GO PLAY COD!
This game went back to its roots and really borrowed heavily from a lot of the elements from outlast. Very clever and well made. The shadows and the darks and blacks are very nice and realistic. I like that it's not very weapon based or weapon centric
RetroFilth I love how believable the weapons are, like how both the grenade launcher and flamethrower were homemade and looked it.
I beg to differ... I thought the game was VERY weapon-based, especially when to the second half of the game.
Not very weapons based? You have a flamethrower, submachine gun, grenade launcher, and remote bombs. How is is not very weapons based?
RetroFilth they stole so much from Texas chainsaw massacre the original one
MetaMike id say they borrowed from evil within, until dawn, and outlast more than they did from Texas chainsaw massacre
I mean maybe...
I absolutely love this game, my only complaint is that there's too many jump scares.... it can be scary without cheap tactics
Ik this is 5 years late but I'd have to disagree I got scared Many times by just creatures sneaking up on you
"adjust brightness so this isn't visible"... Yeah I can see the image I'm not supposed to, and I still couldn't see shit in the game. lol
4 years late but
honestly i think thats bc the game is meant to be played at night, i played it during the day and had the same issues but when i played it at night it was ok??
@@yukihearts im in a pretty dim lit room
@@toxicmatrix1337 Was that the case 4 years ago though ? ;)

Thanks for these very usefull Before you buy series, helped me alot with picking out games!
Glad it help!
gameranx notice me senpai
Beat this today, took 9 hours without rushing it. Definitely cool, had that Resident Evil 3 nemesis vibe always waiting for something to pop out. I'd wait for it to go on sale though, nothing else to do afterwards.
Probably take me so long considering my bad skill
Yeah it was a fast game but theres a lot more to do
You finished it in one day? You played on easy didn't you.
+Smokalotaholic 77 no
Hey, first reply i've ever gotten from you gameranx. Appreciate it. Hmm really, must be a very short game then. Since I have you here. I have a request for a video, i really enjoy your Evolution of games videos, like the Final Fantasy one you guys did. Can you make one on the History/Evolution of Resident Evil. That would be the greatest Birthday present ever.
any single player only game is short, so not that unbelievable
Not unbelievable ....just disappointing ...Developers should know to offer more story when they know they're game will have SP only. Just bad for the consumers, know what I mean.
To me, 10 hours is a lot. Mainly because I don't get a lot of free time to sit down & play for awhile. But when I do get some time, I'm sitting there playing on Madhouse difficulty which indeed feels like a madhouse.
As someone who lives in Texas, and has been through Louisiana many times...
Ethan is possibly the stupidest protagonist in any Resident Evil series, ever.
Yeah his wife gets snatched in front of him by lucus and all he reacts with is damnit
If my wife caused a lot of deaths and a family of really good people to suffer, then I would leave her,That’s why the game makes you decide between to give the syringe to Zoe or Mia,I wish Mia could die without any consequences
I never understood why Ethan continues with this, but I guess the only explanation is because it’s a video game lmao
True
@@eduardpenusmcum8214 yeah Ethan is still taking this in so he is at a crossroads on how he should feel about her
most these ppl bashing the game probably mad because they cant afford it *shrugs*
Kev Flores youre so dumb lol
Kev Flores exactly
or theyre like some idiot who said it wasnt like resident evil at all and said that 5 and 6 were RE games...loser
I can afford it but I just don't want to waste my money tbh
since is a small game i just wait when is free on ps plus or drop the price to 10 bucks
This before you buy is very unclear and lacks essential information, is the game worth a buy? OF COURSE. Go get it, it's definitely worth buying and is appealing to any Res Evil Fan.
Does it have zombies? YES. They are called the molded. Does it have safe houses? Yes it does with the classic Type Writer styled saves but now with a tape recorder.
Does it have boss fights?
Yes and really good ones too which I don't want to spoil.
The game still has crafting and herbs.
And there's a lot of weapon variety including stuff like Flame Throwers, Grenade Launchers and Chainsaws.
The game has one of the most satisfying sound designs.
I easily recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of survival horror.
Veno Black take over before you plz
So I just pause the video and read your comment, I'm ok with this
thank you so much you should of bean doing before you buy videos your epic no I know I should buy it and one question do you need internet to play it cuz I don't have internet
Veno Black holy shit thanks you just earned the creators some money you made the game sound incredible
Is it split screen?
Hey Jake. I think the argument for quality over quantity definitely needs to be made nowadays. It seems like most games this console generation are never ending open world games that become tedious, boring, and repetitive after 50 hours or so.For example, take Fallout 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition. I finished Fallout 4, but didn't enjoy it as much as the previous games. And I didn't even finish DAI because of all the boring fetch quests that cluttered up the map. These games are trying to be as big as possible with a million things to do, but the story and quest variety suffer because of it.If you look at their predecessors, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age Origins, these games had better characters, story, and quest variety/structure. And there was more depth to the leveling systems and the skill trees that allowed you to play the game differently.I'll take a smaller/shorter game any day that focuses on doing a few things well like RE7, Evil Within, Alien Isolation, Outlast, Soma, Deus Ex, etc. instead of doing everything poorly.
Well said my friend!
Completely right. Hate the auto-generated lethargic bullshit that is being put out at the minute
James McDonough Alien Isolation is not short
This is the first horror game that I have ever played. I'm currently in the middle of my first playthrough and I love it.

This game is good! Not so much scary but the atmosphere is top notch!
Reaper2065 well i do have severe schizophrenia, so maybe it is pretty scary for the normals! some go for the frights, some go for atmosphere, either way the only people who are truly wrong about this game are the haters.
Reaper2065 lol it's not a big deal, i just lack some emotions like fear or empathy, these are basically just empty words, but i sure as hell retain the ability to enjoy awesome games!
Reaper2065 yea, it's pretty sweet actually :) no guilt, no regret, no pity, all fun and games hehe
Not scary? This is the scariest fucking game I've ever played in my life.
Play it in VR. I gave up :( jk but taking a break its horrifying
- Before you download it off torrent
Number 6 with extra dip don't be that guy
Number 6 with extra dip Good luck with that, it's got Denuvo so you're not torrenting shit for at least 4 months. Pay for the game like everyone else and support it, it's a phenomenal experience.
Watch dogs 2 got pirated in 2 months, this as short as it is and have no online mode 1 month max and hell no to give 60E on 5h game.
ForgottenShinobi11 Does not justify stealing a game online with which the developers spent many hours creating. Seriously don't torrent games it's risky, very scummy and low of a person to do so.
wait how is it stealing? its not stealing dumbass
I refuse to accept this as a Resident Evil game. I'll be waiting for the RE2 remake.
The Resident Evil Fanboy I mean, mispelling a word is one thing, but using the wrong word in general makes you seem pretty stupid. you meant accept and this game is honestly the closest thing to the originals and 4. the other 2, 5 and 6 felt like an a action adventure game but this brings back the horror/action the game used to give out.
Andre Smith sorry talk n text doesn't always get it right, but hey thanks for taking the time out of your day to point that out. Grammar is really important after all, especially in CZcams comments.👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Andre Smith there you go buddy, all fixed.
Andre Smith in all fairness I will say that this game is interesting enough to stand on its own merits. It's a decent horror game, but a terrible Resident Evil game.
5 and 6 were embarrassment to the survival horror genre at least this gets that right. Going forward i have faith restored in the franchise. And with additional story extra game modes and a muliplayer horde mode to come this game will cement itself as a return to form. You can't argue with that when the overall feedback frome reviewers and youtubers and peoples comments are giving it the thumbs up. If you play this game are you really to vomit blood because you're not playing as a super soldier?
I do think this is one of the best in RE series, how perfectly the game paced. How each area/boss give u something different to experience, different toys , different theme, and shows a different little aspect of the baker family. The environmental story telling is awesome, combined with the superb cinematic atmosphere , really let you hook into the game world where you treading terrified but still pushed on by the curiosity and uncover the mystery little by little. And there is some genuinely spooky tales to be found. The entire experience it's like walking through a terrific horror movies by your own eyes and actions and it's perfectly yet subtlety directed the end result is that it truly let me believe that i'm a protagonist in a horror movies. It feels like i'm experiencing this horror movie on my own term. Let alone the stellar graphics/sound(It's probably one of the best on ps4 if not the). Given that the first person view really put texture quality to test. The other 2 best graphics on ps4 i can think of are both 3rd person action, so that's that. And their sound engineering played a big part in the game and it's very well done. Over all I'd say this is probably the best experience i've had with resident evil.
It's been 6 years and I still don't have the balls to play this game. this never happened before to me, in any game. I mean, this says a lot
Same.. Watching this before you buy for the 3rd time, in the hopes of having the courage to play it.😂
Why be first when you can be 69th
Benstley Succ
Why be 69th when you can be 73,513th?
Because if nobody cares when you're first, they're not going to care when you're anything after that.
How is 10 hours short?? Do people expect 40+ hours rpg length with all games these days?
PikaLink91 Pretty much. People are stupid.
PikaLink91 Over Stimulated. Generation.
no.That is short. The game doesn't have much replay value and is priced at 60 dollars.
10 hours of fighting 1 family and coal bulbfish thingy, no mercenaries, no interesting characters, story is meh, most of the game takes place inside a house...tell me what's so interesting about it other than the almighty atmosphere?
lol how is not even half a days worth of gameplay for 60 dollars not short?
It took me significantly longer to finish this game as I played the entire thing in VR and it was very taxing mentally. I'd actually think "do I want to go into that mansion tonight". In my opinion this was the best PSVR experience thus far.
Yeah I’m good on that lol
Lol same, I need to ask myself before playing if I’m in the right mental state😆 Same for 8 and 4 remake.
Just finished it in vr for first time. Gotta say I loved every bit of it as its scary as hell and challlenging in a right way. Very good direction for the series after RE6. 10/10
Gotta pass. Its just not Resident Evil. It just has the name, that's it.
John Smith that doesn't mean it's a bad game.
John Smith Did you pay attention to the video?
You'll pass until you play it. That's how it goes.
John Smith Read the synopsis. Actually very Resi when you find out some important details.
arrogant, shit-eating kids nowadays
Will definitely get it, but until price drops to 30 at least with all dlc
This is more a review than a "before you buy" but the review is good :)
it's just what we call our videos, no biggie.
I know but I feel like they used to be more like "Here's the bugs" "Here's the launch problems" "And here's the big flaws of the game". They used to point out all the bad things about the game more.
I don't know I'm just rambling haha, but great video and thanks for the answer! love your videos! :)
AlexikFTW it's what we call click bait..
Phillip Deeznuts how is it clickbait
Joseph Murphy the title and thumb are giving you the impression that they will give some insight into why you should or shouldn't buy the game. Instead it was just a review.... So why not title it "RE7 review"? Because it doesn't grab the attention like " before you buy" hence , click bait
I'm really late but just got & beat the game this weekend. One little thing I noticed almost everyone does is check the corners when opening doors, despite there never ever being any items or enemies behind doors in the entire game. Just made me chuckle looking back
I'm currently a couple of hours through the game on VR and I must say it"s amazing. From the graphics to the voice acting all of it is fantastic. Also you did a really good job at not including any spoilers!
I was gonna play skyrim this weekend but after this video I guess not

PaneMando lol not to be mean but I don't think you understand what a weaboo is I should know considering I'm Asian 😂
+Quintoanian thank for correction.
Fantastic game, great graphics, great gameplay, finally a return to survival horror. It felt like a true RE in first person. Felt it was long enough for the genre, not an RPG. This is typical length and honestly, i don't think most people know what they are asking for, tacking on more time wouldn't have helped the game and in this genre, would make it feel long winded to most of us.
+ Great experience in VR.
+ Reminds me a lot of Resident Evil 1
- I wish the mansion segment was a bit longer
- I wish the puzzles were harder
I give it 8 out of 10.
You don't play this game unless it's in vr
Well said on every point, RE7 nailed it imo. Survival horror at its finest and it was a great experience considering there isn't many great story games not to mention horror style.
I've got money left over from Christmas, and getting £80 at the weekend. I'm looking forward to RE7, Nioh and For Honor
Lewis Charlwood get Nioh first the game will have 70+ hours of gameplay so it will keep u busy
Lewis Charlwood Don't go running off to the first shop you decide you want to buy your games from. Shop around on the net for a bit and I'll guarantee you'll find the price drops quite a bit, especially when you compare it to somewhere like Game. Simply Games always seem to have some good offers, but there are others places that often have games cheaper than SG do. It's even worth sometimes checking the eBay stores of some places, you can sometimes get even better offers on there than you can on the regular online stores, just make sure it's legit first. Other places I've picked up games much cheaper than regular stores; The Game Collection, Argos (ebay store), Shop To.net (and their ebay store) there are loads of places other than your regular Amazon, Game, Argos etc that will knock the cost of games right down, even pre orders can be bought up £15+ cheaper than most places will sell them for.
Wor Jackie if he read this or not, this helped ME so thanks bro 😉
Wor Jackie Did I just get a fucking add. lol
Nioh is gonna be great my dude
Beat the game, been a fan of the RE series (cept for 6), so here's my thoughts:
Pros: Good atmosphere, felt scary for once. Had that Survival/Horror aspect the previous titles lacked.
Good graphics.
Good gameplay. Managing the inventory was fun for me.
Good music. Helped me get nervous where I needed to get nervous.
Good sound design. The random noises helped me put on edge, be it the randon thumping around the house or the creepy wind ornaments that would sway in the wind.
Cons: Atrocious Lip Syncing. Idk if they did the animations for the faces by hand, kudos if they did, but that lip syncing was unforgivable coming from a triple A title in this day and age.
Tried too hard to be like Alien Isolation/Outlast. While putting you in a flight or fight situation, some of the enemies (the Bakers) can't be killed unless the boss situation/setting arrives.
Repetitive enemy design. Again, aside from the Bakers, every single enemy in the game is those charcoal-covered things. Was exciting at first, but their mechanincs and weakpoints became all too apparent and, well, boring. Yes I include the bloated charcoal type enemy in here cause its design was also the same, aside from its attacks. Just a fatter version of the original ones. (Bug enemies excluded).
Lackluster ending + final boss. I can't elaborate more on that since I'd be spoiling, but yeah.
Take it or leave it-kinda story. Personally, I left it.
And the most serious one: *Too damn short*. In this case, I doubt making the game any longer would be to their benefit, honestly, seeing how aside the bosses, the game provided no variety (for me) enemy-wise. I beat the game around the 7th hour mark.
Not saying it's bad. It's a million times better than RE:6 that goes without saying, I also liked the fps aspect of it, I read in an interview that Shinji Mikami originally wanted the original RE in a first person view but it lacked the scary aspect in that era's graphics. Well, it definitely worked for this one at least. It doesn't have any replay value for me personally, as it's not a game I'd replay for the trophies, plus the story doesn't change.
These are my personal thoughts of the game and are not to be taken as gospel. If yours differ, by any means, let me know in a *civilized* manner.
PouresMaggie I wonder how much content the DLC will bring and how many. Nioh's next month. Super excited for that
I'll tell you now. Additional story. Extra game modes including a muliplayer horde mode
I hope they'll explain in the DLC why Chris looked the way he did. In RE5 and 6 he looked like he was only feeding on steroids, while in 7 he looked like he went back to looking the way he did in the original RE. Found it hilarious. Can't be any other Redfield than Chris, since he's got the same voice actor too.
seriously? how is this garbage better than RE6? yes RE6 had WAY too much action, and was practically a shooter rather than a survival horror, but that's where the story needed it to go next, 6 was the climate of the story so it needed the big enemies and the army and most of the stuff that it had. not to mention at least that game had different stages, enemies, open areas, it's true despite Derrick Simmons some how kept on getting bigger and bigger and that part was terrible but the gameplay was very fun, we got lots of old and good new characters, it just needed less action and more horror.
but this is just a glorified outlast...or a bad version of outlast...depending on how you look at it, this would've been good as a title for VR but that's about it, aside from the fp view my only other complain is the story and the setting.
taifhamid1 'civilized'
4 years later and still deciding if I want to play this . Love and hate scary games. Played Amnesia games, Outlast, most RE, the demos. I hate being creeped out but for some reason I still have to play lol. 10 hours though.. kind of a vibe killer.
Damn, those graphics are gorgeous!
silent resident evil outlast hills 7
lol nailed it
F.E.A.R
What even makes this game like Silent Hill?
In Silent Hills the guy was dead trying to deal with spiritual corruptions, a world that exists parallel to ours. Where you are trapped. It's always there. He was in the Limbo before the Hell.
That's basically Silent Hill
Resident Evil is about shady corporations making Bioweapons for global dominance and control. And people being dragged into it, disrupting factions and societies.
Wow Silent Hills said 'Don't drink the water'. Did you not see the world in Silent Hills slowly corrupting and changing and becoming more violent? Because he isn't in the 'Real World' anymore...
Resident Evil is in a Real World.
When I say real I mean reality as we know it in the material. How our Ego sees.
Both deal with battles of Ego in a way though. Loss of Self.
Awoken Genius, no one said it was good at the Silent Hill part.
kinda but personally I didn't get as scared as I did for outlast but I think it's because of the no weapons
I started playing at 12 AM
And I finished It at 12 PM in the same day
Lol replayablility, I beat resident evil 4 18 or 20 times lmao
Same here 😂😂😂
Just bought this for £20 and it seems a great game so far, had a few jumpy moments. I’m looking forward to playing more of it and re playing it once I’ve done it on normal
Feels like Texas chainsaw massacre plus a lot of ed gein nothing bad about it heck this is one of the best horror games I played the second game that got me jumpy but alien isolation was freaky as hell
legends never die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I picked up elements of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, True Detective, Saw, and Silence Of The Lambs.
legends never die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alien isolation was scary as shit , it was times I had to stop playing cause I was by myself
Lol play PT.
How about a "Before you buy: Kingdom Hearts 2.8"
This is the review I agree the most with. I think it does perfect with the whole horror survival feeling. I never felt SUPER scared that much but I was rarely at ease
No spoilers, but when I saw that final boss, I said "OOOOH We playin Resident Evil Now!!"
My favorite since 4 and 2. I'd put it up there around those 2. Damn near a masterpiece.
I'm the kind of gamer that, whenever I hear that a game is 6-10 hours in length, I feel happy that, if done well enough, it won't be filled up with unnecessary filler akin to many AAA games of today.
I loved the baker family as antagonists and jack is really memorable to me since on the surface he looks so normal.
This might be my favorite resident evil. The graphics alone are unbelievable. It thrusted me back into the creepy house survival horror, I was legit tense the entire time. I fucking LOVED it!
I couldn't believe it was from 2017
*I hate when people demand something..*
We need more action, Capcom makes RE 6
*Reaction : Too much action, where's the horror?*
We need more horror, Capcom makes RE 7
*Reaction : Too much horror, where's the action?*
Side Note :
5/10 "Too much Outlast"
-IGN
More like ''We need more action but also horror but also old character and oh, jiggle physics, for the horror.''
I'm just glad this isn't a waifu heavy jiggle fest with big muscle man hitting rocks. Tho' there's a Redfield in the game i hear.
James Kyle Alboroto I like Resident Evil 5 and 6. I don't see people's problem.
Just roll with it, work out what strain you're dealing with and is Umbrella Corporation still fucking shit up. Where are the people my Character cares about I wanna help them.
Fuck Corporations.
Am I just a Fictitious Corporate Entity? .
Well, it is balanced, there's a lot of action in 7 too, i mean, you can say that the mold are boring, but i found them functional, they act different and all, but i do feel like they could've used a different visual for each type, but hey, it works.
Also, King m'boy, whats up with all this agression mate? relax buddy, take a seat, a pinch of tea or coffee, breath, it's alright that you don't like it, it's in fact, your opinion and you're entitled to it, but buddy, others are too, others liked how its a bit more RE 1 ish with all the key and fetchings, so you know, its not like its a bad game, its just not your cup of tea! and that's alright!
James Kyle Alboroto I have never heard a complaint worded as "too much horror". I do understand why people said RE6 was too much action. It was literally CoD
Moving into the VR age, first person pov is perfect for 7!
I beat it today, i enjoyed it pretty much every step of the way. Going to try starting a madhouse difficulty tmrw.
Still play this game now and again, still obsessed with Lucas. It truly is a classic game, End of Zoe was some of the most fun I've had. Village is okay but it's nothing compared to this
is there an explanation why that guy can take a headshot like it was fired from a bb gub? virus mutation or something? also blocking shovel swings with your arm, unless you're chris redfield the boulder puncher that's kinda absurd
ah the classic boulder punch. I love re5
This is Resident Evil. Absurdity should be expected at this point. Also The Baker Family (if it wasn't obvious) are infected with a fungal/mold virus that takes over your brain over time
They regrow limbs with magic water in the game..... its complet BS
The originals were at least ground in reality of viruses makeing enemies stronger and herbs healing wounds.
RetributionAngel Actually this one has a justification. Says on the first aid that it "promotes cell regeneration" also if you cam regrow limbs you're obviously infected
But never before in Resi could Zombies regrow limbs. I shoot the heads of all the time in all resi games. IMO they just slaped the Resi titel on a game that has nothing to do with anything. And one Chris & Umbrella Cameo is all that tighes it in.
I recently bought the deluxe edition of village and have been a resident evil fan since I was like 9 I’m now 19 lol and got a new job so I decided to spoil myself I’m on my day off today and am loving this game had to play it before village
Just starting my second play through!
I played the game 100% in VR(My first time ever using VR) and I didn't experience sickness quickly, like you said, I was able to play 3 or 4 hours straight before having to take a break
I have over 200 hours on RES 5 most of those spent playing mercenaries mode with my brother because split screen games are a dying breed. And you tell me this is a 10 something hours? Nah, I'll wait for a massive price drop before I pick it up.
ds37 tbh older games (ps1, GameCube ect.) were pretty short some of the times but we're still highly praised. People these days are just expecting too much despite game better harder and taking longer to make
Or you'll just buy the ultimate addition with all the dlc including additional story, extra game modes, and a muliplayer horde mode. Because thats a thing. Because its resident evil....
4 u
I can understand and respect someone for not liking it or even hating it, but to say that it's an awful game is just absurd. It's a damn good arcade, couch-multiplayer game - one of the best.
ds37 Did you play it with Bork Laser, too?
Love these before you buys. Still deciding on the game it looks fun
It s really fun. I recomend it.
Love this game! Had some much fun playing it! Great video my man. Subed!
2:30
Straight up felt that knife against my eye
"the ravens kaka'ing in the background"
Looks great but I'm not a big horror guy so I probably won't buy it, I barely made it through Outlast.
Stirling Hancock rip
If you got through Outlast, you can get through this.
Stirling Hancock the difference is you can shoot them now
Stirling Hancock its scary but the story is good which will make you want to know more on what happened to the family. Its not as terrifying as PT.
god i love outlast. Outlast 2 is coming. You should get it
Hey I thought this was a fantastic video. I watched this after playing for about 3.5 hours and I feel on par with what you said about the game. Really, really enjoying it!
You guys never disappoint with your Before You Buys
That fucking inventory .. Not enough space .. Not enough space ..
I was scared to play this alone. So I played the game with my wife besides me once I got married lol. Took us 9.5 hrs to complete on easy mode. Scariest game I ever played.
lol same. try outlast series dude
@@penceritahorror9745 I just bought RE 7 and I think I can push through it. Outlast on the other hand…ima shit myself bruh I’m good watching a play through 😭
I’ve never played a resident evil game so is there a chronological story that I need to follow? What do I need to know?
This is so wholesome :) fun ass game
@@TheSonicHybrid13 don't worry. Just play RE7. Not related to any other game.
I got it yesterday and I'm still wondering; in the chainsaw fight with Jack , do you actually kill him when you tear him in half?
beat it four times for trophies. loved it. genuinely enjoyed every aspect. didn't even notice first person. No bad camera angles. overall phenomenal game.
this is still my favourite resident evil, I remember playing this 2 years ago in 2019 and I loved it
Edit: this was my first resident evil game before this I used to HATE horror games I thought why should I buy fear? LOL
"...how it could possibly lead to a Resident Evil 8"
Me: Laughs in Village
I played Village before Biohazard and was surprised at how terrifying it was while also keeping the story- I loved it tbh
@@FoolOfTheStars Biohazard and Village were my first experiences with RE, and I instantly loved the series. Ethan was the first character I knew of, and I still prefer him over Chris or Claire, because of how normal he is as just an average joe, but still manages to kick ass.
I love this game, my only concern is the lack of enemy variety
wow i never knew that you can block attacks made by an axe by raising your hands.
Wow the only reviewer without spoilers!! (Not being sarcastic)
Jake you're awesome and this is becoming one of my fave channels. As a little bit of feedback this video would have been even better with some background music. Constructive feedback sent with love
ive been playing resident evil since i was young and i did enjoy the whole shoot everything dead but this seems like something that can grow into a beautiful flower if done correctly
