This is one of those episodes where I'm mostly just looking to endorse my already made up choice of buying the game from the start lmao, thanks for the review fellas, much love
🤝
Literally watching this after I already preordered the Deluxe edition. I was a child when I played this game new and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Do it brotha
Fr I never pre order but I already knew this was a must have still here for more content lol
Literally just take my money Capcom
I started modding with RE4. A couple of years later, I was showing some mods I made in an interview for a game dev school. I was the only applicant to enter the bachelor's degree course with no formal coding experience/schooling. Today, I'm a game developer. I literally owe my career to RE4. Glad to see it receive the love it deserves. I'm already fiddling with RE4 remake's demo 😊
🎉❤
hey man! this is going to be me, can you tell me the details on what you were tasked with and how you overcame that? I'm terrified because I had to drop my diploma level IT classes due to time table shid so now I'm just doing random classes for the atar to get the bachelors offer
that is awesome! thanks for sharing
@Melvin Doo best advice I can give is to build your portfolio. Just make stuff, use a free game engine like Unity or Unreal. Everything that takes in your sweat is worth it 😉 Good luck
👏
The demo was so nostalgic, I still remembered where all the loot was in the village and it was still all there. Plus when I stealthed up to the first enemy with her back turned and got the take down prompt I was so happy for the updated mechanics
Wait you can stealth kills? I have to replay the demo. That is awesome.
@@clarafedde8674 lol coMe on dude
I played the demo (and mod) several times already. I am so ready for the 23rd.
@@clarafedde8674 yeah specifically right when you get to the main village there is a path to the left with a green herb and a woman with a pitch who you can take down. I'm guessing it still takes some of your knife durability though
Actually I stealth killed a few while retrying the demo. What I did from original was shoot them in the head and suplex them. Though am curious about the knife. Do you pick up multiple, or being visiting "Welcome Stranger, ha ha, Whatch ya buying!" friend a lot to get it fixed. Thursday is just down the bend....so can't wait.
The original RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time. It was my first M rated title that my father let me play when I was 9 years old. We’d play it together often the year it came out and I always enjoyed watching him play it and unlocking new things in the game. And when he got all the cool stuff he’d let me play so it would be easier with all the unlocks he kept achieving. Eventually, I started my own play through from scratch and it was such a good time and so rewarding to unlock everything the more you replay it. I still play it at least once a year and my most recent play through was on my steam deck. I’m now 26 years old and I absolutely cannot wait for this remake. I’m also eager to show the remake to my father when I visit him. I feel like I’ll probably still prefer the original because of how classic it is, but I know I’m going to have a good time with this one! Awesome review as always!
Your so lucky my dude to have that bond with your father 😢 my papa passed away at 59 about 6 years ago in May. He was a closet gamer and eventually hated them for his own reasons. I loved them and could never get that bond with him, so please cherish what you have right now with your father cause when there gone there gone
That’s so nice to read, I share the same story with my dad and I’m 25 now 😅
THIS!!
Watching either your dad or big brother play games too scary for you was one of my favorite things as a kid. RE4 was one of the first ones I remember playing through on my own
@@matty92k I’m so very sorry for your loss. I take your advice to heart friend ♥️
Loved the Demo, and cannot wait to play this. It's so weird to play this backwards timeline of third person horror games. First Callisto Protocol which was inspired by Dead Space, then played the Dead Space Remake which was inspired by RE4 and now the RE4 remake. So nice to see how games have progressed, or regressed depending on how you look at it.
Callisto was actually what the original DS1 was supposed to be
asley nudd modd!!!!
Regressed in terms of fun and longevity, progressed in terms of graphics and immersion.
@@HyperFoxx a shitty game?
@J. M. yeah probably, I didn't buy it
Would love a Code Veronica remake, played the series since RE1 and that was easily one of my favorites
Yes yes like it's one of my favorites RE, that's a dream man 🔥
That would be good, I'd play it, but the one I want is a RE1 re -remake.
YES!
It’s also one of the worst ones I’ve ever played and I’d like to see them re-attempt the whole concept because it had potential.
I still think code veronica to be the true RE3.
One prominent thing I noticed about the demo is that it makes RE4 in general much more scary. In the original, I always felt like I was given plenty of space between me and the enemies by default, and it was my fault if I let them close in on me. The remake puts everyone up in your face in unexpected ways, constantly. As someone with claustrophobia, this was incredibly effective in the horror department.
Did they remake the ai aswell? Cause I’m the original I don’t remember them running routes to head you of
@@laaa210 Yea they must've. When I play the game, it's actually pretty hard when the enemies start looking for areas to cut you off to trap you in. Best tip for this game is never stop moving, there is no such thing as a safe space.
@@jeremylopez2101 there is, behind ashley as cover of course

The attention to small details in this game is amazing. Especially love how Leon actually cocks his gun towards the right when the villagers get REALLY close to him. This was the make or break remake for me since I played the original as a kid so I'm so glad that its not a letdown like RE3:Nemesis. Makes me excited for a possible Resident Evil 0 or a Code Veronica remake, Hell even a continuation past 4 and going towards 5 would be great. I just miss the characters like Claire Leon and Chris and hope we continue to see them in the future whether its in new games or remakes.
I remember originally playing this game & absolutely loving how insane things got. A true masterpiece & now a remake gives me a chance to relieve the glory all over again 👍
Nice
March madness and chainsaw demo got me reliving my glory days
I played it when it very first came out then never played it again since so many other games came out. I’m pretty much going in blind
I think the remakes gameplay is what we felt the gameplay was in the original
@@josem.dueneztinoco2388 magnificently modernized
I'm not going to lie I am loving these remakes we are getting so far this year. I know people hate remastered titles and think its lazy but I honestly think its amazing we get to play these classic games like Dead Space and the Resident Evil series on updated engines that give us a next gen experience.
RE4 on PS2 was the first RE game I got into myself. I was always interested in the franchise (but was like 10 and too cowardly to play the first 3 for long) so 4 was the first time I really got into one and I put hundreds of hours into it. Really looking forward to this remake and really happy to see all the positive reviews. Looking forward to sinking a few hundred more hours into this one.
👌👍🏼
Im so glad that you decided to be transparent about the use of footage. I remember for cyberpunk they didnt allow reviewers to use their own footage because it was so bad but im glad in this case its not that.
thats a weird but fine line to have to walk. Don't talk, dont tell. Either because its too good and everyone has to experience it for themselves. Or its so bad that people hate it before released.
@Sublimation_ixi yeah. I noticed all the reviews for this game were the provided gameplayes, so I got nervous. I still am a little hesitant, but I have faith. Only time will tell
We got a demo unlike cybertrash 2077, that's a huge difference, game looks absolutely stunning on my RTX 3080 and the gameplay is awesome, having said that there aren't many things that can go wrong besides graphics and gameplay, maybe some people could get mad at some parts being cut but other than that, we basically know how the game is gonna look and feel.
@@JaegerLeo real, game lookd gorgeous especially on my rtx 4090 ti 64 gb ram ryzen 9

@@patriciosilva7471 there’s cut content in all remakes of games
Skillup is the better reviewer but I still love gameranx. Skillup goes into every aspect of the game
I have also noticed with Ashley, you don't have to keep waiting after jumping down from a ledge to catch her, she jumps down on her own even from rather high areas surprisingly. and she climbs down ladders instead of getting Leon to catch her. which is great. 👍
Capcom also did an amzing job mixing up the map locations at the same time as keeping it the same.
they stole her panties from us. it was not worth the quality of life. i won't forgive them.
Wow, waaay less presidential. Immersion broken! Gonna start my refund process now
@@deedelta9263no one cares
I played this originally on the Wii which was an awesome way to play looking back. The aiming felt more immersive.
The Chainsaw Demo was my first experience with an RE game ever, and I loved it. I was only a month old when the original RE4 came out, and the demo for its remake has sold me on the franchise (I went and bought the original RE4 + the remakes of 2 and 3 after playing, have yet to start any of them) so I’m pretty excited for this one.
I’d recommend playing the original one first, since replaying it after the remake might feel off
Get the RE1 remake and play that first.
@@jaswanthvardireddy2243 I’ll probably do that, I have exactly 73 cents in my Steam account so I can’t even afford the remake lmfao
Resident evil 5 is great too if you like 4.
Re2 remake is REALLY good
The original Resident Evil 4 was my entry to the Resident Evil series/saga. At the time I read about Resident Evil on older videogames magazine, but never played it before Resident Evil 4, so this game is very special to me. I played the demo and was blown away how this remake is. When it was announced, I was one of those who said there were other games that deserved a remake, but after playing the demo I am glad we got this remake. It really looks amazing in so many aspects, can't wait to get my hands on it!
100% my experience. Although I think I had seen one of the movies before playing this, and I also remember being annoyed that there were no zombies in this one. I ended up loving it either way
So you’re not that old if you didn’t start with re1 xD
@@MonsteRNieR I am 27 y.o tbh xD I just never got to play Resident Evil when I got my first console, which was the PS2, in 2005 (but got Resi 4 like a year later when it reached Platinum) xD
Nearly completed my playthrough of the original RE4 on ps2. Haven't played in over 15 years and I must say, I totally forgot how BIG this game is compared to the first 3 mainline titles. Tank controls were tough to get used to again but after the first couple sections it came back to me. Re4 is still totally playable and super fun. It's so satisfying to take on waves of enemies. Puzzles are a bit brain dead but the action feels great! Very excited to see them back to back. Just have two more days to finish the last chapter.
Really loved the original game, replaying it so many times i could remember every item locations, crates contents, treasures.....and snakes.
lmao same here. I could even remember which specific enemies would spawn the plaga heads in certain areas. Good times with the original game.
The original RE4 was the first big boy video game I ever played, and it remains one of my favorites to this day. I love Capcom’s previous remakes of RE2 and 3 and could not be more excited for this one. I don’t think I have ever been more hyped for a video game in my entire life!
Mine too and the wii controls were great
Great to get your opinion, guys. You know Capcom struck gold releasing the review a week before launch.
I remember playing through RE4 on the Gamecube multiple times to purchase the infinite missile launcher (which ended up being very situational because I blew myself up more often), and later the infinite Tommy gun which completely trivialized the game.
Original was the first resident evil I’ve ever played, and it has become my favourite game of all time. It’s just so fun, so addictive, so fun to replay, no other resident evil is on its level to be honest. I was very concerned that they would remake the game into a horror game and remove the action. But after playing the demo of the remake and seeing all the footage, I’m expecting to get my favourite game even better and modern! So hyped!
Thanks for being transparent with the footage that you can show and the restrictions that Capcom put in place. You guys are awesome
Bought & played every port since 2005, & been a die hard RE4 fan since release. The demo was so short, but yet made the best impression. I cannot wait for this game to come out 👏

RE4 was my first on the Game Cube. Sits in my top 5 and is still my fav RE after going through all of the others. Not sure if i'll run through this one but so pumped to see they did it justice. Highly recommend to anyone who missed it in the series or never played an RE. Great BYB, cheers.
would you like to try the muller-powell?
The general optimization of recent RE games has been fantastic. Any time I play these, they run pretty well for how they look. Which is great considering all of the issues we get now on launch for AAA titles on PC.
Played the original 4 on multiple consoles, including 5 starring the mercenaries and having my infinite handcannon fun, looking forward to see what's added here. It's refreshing to see how much is added and how perfect a remake can truly be. I feel I'll still play the OG for nostalgic purposes here and there, but this is gonna be my newest primary once I get it.
Loved the original on the Gamecube, played the new demo & enjoyed it. Will definitely pick it up. Thanks for your insights & opinions of a beloved entry in the series.

I've been a Resident Evil fan since the original Resident Evil 2, but back then I was still a kid, I was not brave enough to play it alone, so I just watched my uncle play it, we're just like some kind of supporters and helpers to figure out puzzles or something. But Resident Evil 4 is the first Resident Evil game that I played alone. So it has a special place in my memory. Maaannnn 2005, time sure flies by.
Nothing will beat the mood and atmosphere/color tones of the original. It’s forever my favorite game. But this seems like it’ll be very dear to me as well. Can’t wait to play it!
RE4 was my entry to the franchise and I absolutely loved it , I was in high school at that time and this game was in my head all the time even when i was watching TV or when i was in school. I have played the original on my PC tonnes of times and I can't wait to play this new one.I love how gameranx is so genuine with their reviews. Thank you guys.
Something about resident evil 4 is so comfy and relaxing to experience no matter how many times I play it. The new gameplay doesn’t look like it’ll be as timeless but I’m so excited to play this. It’s going to be like school all over again playing this game before I have to get ready for work
Have you played the demo yet? The controls are really good, takes a little bit to get used to like any game but I think they made it perfect for the new style of games. Shortcuts to get to weapons, crouch, counter
The original re4 gameplay is not timeless bud.
@@kidflykai03 play RE1 and tell me RE4 controls aren’t godsend.. it walked so dead space, evil within, gears and so many others can run. If it wasn’t timeless it wouldn’t still be talked about today
You put into words what I was thinking. Also for me, RE2 remake was perfect. It's definitely my comfort go to game, as weird as that sounds.
@@tonito_el_tigre that's like saying play original re4 and tell me re4 remake controls aren't a god send. If that's timeless then this one's controls definitely is.
I have been playing resident evil games since I was 5 years old. My 1st memory was running around the laboratory in resident evil 2 and shooting zombies and lockers with the magnum. My dad is also a huge fan of the series. Which is why I was able to play the game at such a young age. Now, my dad has a difficult time playing the new games because of the fast-paced combat. When I'm not busy working, my dad comes over and watches me play through the game so he can experience the story still.
I actually just played the original for the first time a year or so ago. I'm stoked to dive back in with the remake! It looks incredible.
I’m a massive RE fan . My first game ever was RE2 on the ps1 my mom loved horror games and I was able to play when I was only 7 . Can’t wait to jump into the remake. My best friend got me a copy for my birthday on preorder

Been playing resident evil 4 since it came out and have had it on just about every console it came out on excluding Wii and ps3 ( yes I also had the iPod version XD). To say I am excited for this is a massive understatement! So happy to see that it has been given 10s left and right and I think it is well deserved. Cannot wait to unlock those sweet sweet special weapons and costumes!
Awesome video guys just pre-ordered last night. Absolutely love resi 2 remake so hearing it's super similar is awesome to hear. Question though and ik you may not be allowed to answer but how is the Verdugo and U3 boss fights looking my most anticipated parts!
I never picked up the original, and this was the first Resident Evil game I've ever played. I'm absolutely hooked. Even days later, I can't stop thinking about it. I want to play it over and over.
Try RE2 remake! It's pretty similar, but less crazy awesome action and more tense survival horror
Re3 was the first I played then 2 then 7 those are good to play
This is a must buy. I played the original many many times over back in the day, unlocking everything, even recently a couple times over again, it can be goofy but that game just works!. I have been with this IP from the beginning but really fell in love with it with 4. Maybe so much so that I somehow actually pulled a career out of an obsession with a certain character in game. Playing the demo brought me back to 05 playing 4 for the first time for sure. The infamous village section was just as much of a sweaty skill check now as it was back then. I’m just waiting to see what what they did the the regenerators.

Thank you Jake for using this opportunity to set things strait with ambargo and review rules
I played the hell out of RE4 on the PS2 when I was younger and even bought the remastered version on the PS4. The remake was actually my first pre-order for a game. I'm really looking forward to it.
1:40 - 2:30 and stuff like this is why I think this is the best news gaming channel... The way you addressed and talked about the situation, I really appreciate that.
I’m definitely interested, I wanna play my first one as the remake. They’ve done a fantastic job, it’s really exciting 👌🏾
I'm really interested how they are going to implement the VR version. More specifically, roundhouse kicks. Can't wait to play this in vr, either way! This is the only RE I skipped back in the day
I imagine the roundhouse will be like RE4VR is now. You just see the character do the move with an action prompt.
You skipped 4 and instead played 5 & 6? Talk about bad luck...
You’re lying lol… RE fans didn’t skip 4. I bet you weren’t even born yet 🤡
Like you said I still play the original to this day, and absolutely love it. The OG was my first resi game and tbh the only one I ever liked. I remember the first time I played it there was always this tension and until I finished it a couple of times it was still there. Despite my reservations over the changes from what I've played in the demo, it made me feel just as overwhelmed as the first one, so I'm really looking forward to it. I'm probably gonna complain a lot about the changes lol.
This encapsulates my exact experiences with the original and the demo. I'm very excited!
I love watching yall review a game I'm replaying RE4 on my Oculus Quest 2 and also I'm replaying Village on my PS5 and let me just say I love the RE games so much especially 4 so I'm very excited to replay it and then play that over and over again until I platinum it!!
I played the VR version of Resident Evil 4 and it was really awesome. Can’t wait to play this remake next weekend!
I’m so happy to see all the positive reception this game’s getting
Me too! Im hyped

I was born in 2002 so growing up I’ve always heard of the resident evil franchise and games but i always felt too behind to get caught up on the series, after playing the demo ( and struggling to beat mad chainsaw mode) I think this’ll make me buy it and if I enjoy this enough I’ll turn around and get the RE 2 / 3 remake
2 remake is definitely worth getting but I can't say the same about 3. In 3 they left out a ton of content that was in it's original counterpart. Pretty sure the consensus for 3 is that is was rushed.
I just finished it a couple of days ago and it was an utter blast!
Didn’t get to play RE2 remake when it first came out, and so I ordered myself a copy and I’m waiting eagerly for it to arrive.
Nah, if you wanna get your heart pounding, I'd get the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis if I were you.
I had gotten the disc from my neighbor but, as I found out, the disc was scratched so I got a little ways in before the game broke, but boy was that game creepy asf.😂 It was so much fun.
@@andrewwitham8493 For first time 3 players, I thought it was an enjoyable game. I actually liked its balance of horror and action better than the 2 remake.
I am really hoping for them to remake RE5, oh my the nostalgic feelings🤣. I used to play coop mode with my sis
Good news, Capcom has been working on a remake, it's either gonna be 5 or code Veronica.
Re4 was the first in the franchise I beat. I played all of them as a kid but was too young to understand the maps. As I got older re4 came out and I couldn’t put it down. After beating it I replayed every single re game and beat them. Good times man
Waited for this! What an insane surprise. This remake is special
I would’ve never started playing resident evil if it wasn’t for you guys. I always thought they were scary ass games but i watched the before you buy in RE2 remake and it along with the series have become some of my favorite games and i now love anything resident evil so thank you for just all that you do to open peoples minds to new games and giving honest opinions! 0:44 perfect analogy for the original RE4. That game was something special, and Capcom even said they were under immense pressure to get this remake right and please the fans. Looks to me like they pulled it off.
RE4 was my favorite, played back on PS2. I finished the game, I played mercenaries, finished separate ways, really enjoyed it (I played with a cousin a little of RE2, with and I remembered Ada). So for now...I have to finish RE2R and RE3R first, then I'll jump into it
I've watched around 30 reviews but this is the one I was waiting for. You're awesome, Jake!

The meat riding is crazy
This was a game I wasn't allowed to play when it came out because I wasn't old enough and my mom thought it was too violent. Luckily for me her boyfriend at the time had the game and I would play it in the middle of the night while they were asleep. I had to play with the lights off so they wouldn't know I was on it. Needless to say playing that game in the middle of the night with the lights off as a young kid really freaked me out but that's why I loved that game so much. That was the whole point!
This game had me shitting myself
RE4 was my first ps2 game, and the memory of playing it for the first time while sitting with my cousins, that was also my first time to stay up until 3:00am. Such a great game
I didn’t really play these games as a kid, so I don’t have the same nostalgia as a lot of players. That being said, it makes me happy when games people love get really good remakes & new love 🤙
I dunno ‘bout that but ok
I know I’m in for a good time when I play the demo over and over again, finding secret weapons and hidden difficulties.
Can't wait to see what Mercenaries is like for this, always wanted to be able to play as Luis so hopefully they've added him in the remake
I am ready to relive this awesome game remade. I started playing through the whole saga just to refresh and keep my hype from making the days feel longer lol
I`m looking forward to playing this! RE2 remake was amazing so I'm glad that RE4 Remake tries to connect the two games.
I remember playing the GameCube preview disc for this game way back in the day and having my mind blown... nostalgia hit all over again with the Chainsaw Demo.
Can't wait for the release. Thanks for the video guys!

My friend and I spent an entire evening playing that demo. To this day, I remember some of the difference between that preview and the final game.
The bedroom inside the single floor house did not have a window. You could funnel all the enemies from that door.
Would love to know if the costumes and charms available right after you buy the deluxe edition are also unlockable from the standard edition.
Been playing RE since the classic 2. Started by watching my uncle play the one day, when i was about 7 or so, he let me play and since then its been my favorite franchise. Loving the REmakes (well 3 was ok) so excited for this and hopefully a Code Veronica remake sooner than later.
It's great to see this get great reviews and a week early which gives me confidence it will be great (Resident Evil 4, the original, is one of my favourite games of all time)

Thank you for addressing the conditions Capcom imposed upon for you for this review - I really hope this does not become a trend amongst game developers and reviewers going forward - your impartial and honest advice and opinions are the reason I enjoy your content so much.
Great vid as always though.
I am glad to hear this review. My biggest concern was that they cut content. Probably Ada's path would be a pay dlc. But as long as the main game has the same areas , I am happy.
I love that they're bringing these older titles into the newer era of hardware and graphics, I just wish they'd give RE1 this treatment
Zero and code Veronica as well. Pretty sure 5 is confirmed
I am so excited to play this game! I never played the original! I don't know the story, and this is all new! So excited! The RE franchise is one of my all time favorites, RE4 just slipped through the cracks somehow.

just play the original is much better, unless you prefer graphics over gameplay
@@Peru_Soldier You mean the original with worse gameplay?
@@Peru_Soldier The controls on the original RE4 are so clunky. Way better on the remake
Only thing better in the original is the voice acting cast and lines in my opinion. They turned down the cheese in this which is fine, but I had the original script memorized and was sad when some of the lines didn’t return. There’s nods to them though like “the big cheese”
This is going to be my first experience playing RE4, I've only watched someone else played it when it was released. This is going to be fun!
I’ve beaten the original re4 so many times. And my fastest run through with getting everything and not dying and not saving was just barely under 4 hours. The demo was amazing and pretty difficult the chainsaw guy killed me at least 3 times lol. I’m waiting for Friday so I can play it when it downloads.
I love the expanded colour palette of the village area, having a bit more green and yellow. However, the original's narrower greyish/black/brown palette lends a morbidly severe and horrific tone to the environment. I'm not saying the new art style and graphics ruins the game by any means, but there is something to the original's style and even its original word font that gave it a more horrific feeling.
Then again, the original was so "browny" because of the limitations of hardware back then, though the new ish direction is really good because of it
Yeah I get what you mean, Re 4 og was my first RE game back then and I used to get scared shitless because of how the atmosphere and the hostile environment gets you. But as the game goes, it becomes almost pure action goodness.
@@jesusrodriguezcolon8315 It is strange how hardware constraints contribute towards a game's overall atmosphere and art direction. I also think the original Ocarina of Time has a moodier atmosphere than the 3DS remake - particularly because of how lighting is represented in darker areas. But it also seems that lower resolutions and frame rates influence the atmosphere in some way.
You could argue it's just nostalgia, but taken to the extreme we have 2D pixel art SNES era games, then the initial 3D releases on PS1 and N64, then Gamecube and PS2. That lack of detail and 'blur' force the mind to fill in some of the gaps and make them feel impressionistic. The horse, Agro, in the original Shadow of the Colossus, for example, seems to float more - in a less defined space - as she gallops, evoking a dream-like quality.
Don't get me wrong, the remake is fantastic in its own way, as I'm sure RE4 Remake is, but there is something to be said about art direction across eras of hardware improvements. I can't say whether Capcom would have chosen slightly more colour in the original if it was created on superior hardware. But intentional or not, where that lack in frames, clarity and colour lend Shadow of the Colossus a dream-like quality, in RE4 they really made it feel like a nightmare.
@@Rikiko722 thats a nice way to put it, while yes, nostalgia contributes to it, it can come down to the direction of the development and colour choices. It's wild how far gaming has come but still retain original elements that makes gaming feel awesome ^^
@@jesusrodriguezcolon8315 It is very impressive, I'm very excited to play this when it comes out on the 24th!
Jack Baldino is like a family now. Every new game goes with his voice 😂
RE4 is the one I played the most. That's because they had the bonus games when you finished it and you could play as other characters like Wesker. I didn't see any mention of bonus games in the new version though...
Im looking forward to playing this. I grew up with resident evil. Started with 2 then went back to the first one on the original playstation. Played 3 after that when it came out and absolutely loved this franchise.
When i first saw 4 though and the direction they went with it i was furious!! I actually refused to play the game. When 5 cane out i tried it but quickly shelved it too.
Moving forward i stopped gaming in the 360 era for ten years. Three years ago i bought the ps4 and was stoked to see a remade re2. That was the first game i bought and man, it was perfection!
I proceeded to play 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Im glad i finally tried 4 because i did end up having fun with it and all the others as well. Resident evil is probably my absolute favorite gaming franchise. It suprised me how much i enjoyed 4,5, and 6.
I just got a ps5 last week and am getting ready to upgrade the re2 remake and play it again followed by the remake of 4. Im stoked to see how they play on the ps5. So far ive i ly experinced ps4 backwards compatibility and 60fps and its been great so i cant wait to see the 120fps 0.0
Now i just need them to remake 0 and 1 and ill be complete 😁
The cut to Jake when he was like, "...this is me, you might know my body." as he did the Before You Buy pose definitely made me chuckle.
I'm so happy to still be watching new content from Gameranx all these years later. Thanks for the infotainment!
I've got a blind friend who played the of like over 200 hundred times, and we've both been hyped for this to come out. I'm hoping that even if he needs a guide we can still enjoy this game together. I will say I feel like he's probably more of a purist but still, can't wait to eventually get this game and go through it .
How does your friend play when they're blind?
@@lexi6081 with a controller.
@@lexi6081 ok real talk though, I think most of those 200+ times were back when they had somewhat decent eyesight, and so they just memorized most of the levels and layout, and these days me or other friends help guide them.
@@twinkiemonster4412 that’s crazy, i wonder how it feels to beat a game blind
0:30 That weapon stance bro, its really good animation
You saying you've played them since RE1 was released took me back to staying up late with my best friend to get scared sh*tless. Thanks for the content. Also, pretty sure this is the same demo they released for the GameCube release in game stores when the original dropped. We were in awe!
Love your transparency and great video as usual! Thank you

Capcom has been really good to us lately. Can’t wait to relive this game, it was truly a masterpiece and in its time unlike anything I’d ever played.
I've always known about RE4, I know I at least started the game a couple of times before but never actually finished it because I was always too scared, lol. Recently I re-downloaded it from my library and just beat it for the first time in preparation for the remake. It was great! Definitely didn't like the controls and most of the Ashley parts but other than that, the game was pretty phenomenal. So excited for the remake, can't wait for Friday. Ty for the review! 👍
I was 9 years old when I got my first M rated game, RE4. I was so excited to play, but I soon discovered how terrifying a chainsaw sound can be. I couldn’t get myself to play through the village segment of the game for over a week. I was too scared of the “chainsaw guy”. I eventually got over my fear and beat the game in all modes and got 5 stars in all the mercenary missions. Can’t wait to play one more time.
Loved the original and I can't wait for this game to come out. Thanks for covering Gameranx
Hope you enjoy it!
My first survival horror experience with Resident Evil was through VILLAGE. I had seen the movies growing up but wasnt able to play the games. VILLAGE sold me though big time with its Gothic Horror and Macabre feeling. Then I went through RE3R, RE2R, and RE4 OG through the Oculus VR experience which was amazing! Trying out RE5 and RE Remake as well. Cant wait to play this game!
have you heard of the muller-powell ?
